still not working... tried both those things
I believe that this is by design. Microsoft probably doesn't want everyone using ActiveSync to be able to muck around in the \Windows folder, so while you're connected to your PC via ActiveSync, Windows Explorer will ALWAYS hide the phone's \Windows folder.
You could just use Total Commander on the phone itself, and this will give you access to the \Windows dir with no problem. I usually just copy stuff to the \My Documents or \Storage Card folder while it's connected to my PC, then disconnect, open up Total Commander on the phone, and copy the files to \Windows.
Hope that helps!
u need change view folder opiton and allow viewing system files.

Yes.
Go to folder options and allow viewing system/hidden files.
Then, go to My computer > Mobile Device > My Windows Mobile Device (or whatever it's called ) and Windows should be there

In folder options you have to make sure to check "Display the contents of system folders", "Show hidden files and folders", and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)".

Here is a screenshot i selected everything but still i'm seeing no windows map
I also have installed activesync
What language is that, dutch?
Anyways it looks like the Folder Options in your language version don't exactly match our english versions. Here's a screenshot of mine and exactly what i have checked/unchecked to get it to show.
On my I-Mate K-Jam, I have only about 3 MBs of free memory out of 45 MB on my main memory. I have had to move all of my programs installed on main memory to the storage card to avoid that "Warning : your system memory is low" message. My "program files" folder is only 1.74 MB, and my "My Documents" folder is only 2.6 MBs. In fact, all of the folders and files in my base "main memory" directory only add up to 5.89 MB! That means that there are extra files in my registry or in my Windows folder. I've already cleared out the history and "recent files" in Internet Explorer, and that doesn't help much. Here are two pictures of what it looks like :

Download and run ClearTemp. This will get rid of stuff you will never find on your own.
Next, download the exe packer, UPX4PPC. This can be used to further compress just about every .exe file in your drive (with the exception of the Portable Office programs, and a very few system .exe files). The only downside for this tool is you have to hunt them down one by one.
Dig through your My Documents. Chances are it's bloated with a bunch of non-critical crap, like pictures of your pet/girlfriend. Move it to your SD card or delete it. Check the Wizard Wiki to learn how to default the camera to save pictures to your SD card instead of memory.
Lastly, take a hard look at what's been installed (Settings > System > Remove Programs). If you don't recognize it or have never used it, consider removing it.
This is a freeware that I found by Hou Ming that addresses all the missing features that should have been included in the Windows Mobile stock File Explorer.

Some of the new fatures :
*Resizable header for easy sorting by file name, date of last modification or size
*Tree view of folders; you can now jump easily from a location to any other on your device in one step
*Show extension option for those who ask themselves the same question I do: “What type of file is this?
*Icon view that enables the display of files as icons similar to your desktop computer
*Real time image preview; now you don’t have to open several files in order to send the one you desire
*Open with Program allows you easily select an application to open the specific file you select (useful in case you don’t have the correct file associations or when you want Album app to open your images instead of Windows default picture viewer.
*File property context menu for easy renaming and attribute changing
*Open all executables with Parameters in case you need a special parameter when launching an application
*Sending shortcut to Programs for instant shortcut creation of executables placed directly in Programs folder in Start Menu.

CEListFiles
From time to time I have the "pleasure" to see my WindowsMobile device struggle with low storage / low main memory. I get that low memory message and have no clue, what caused the problem, which program used the place up or what data files should rather be saved on memory card. Searching for files I can delete on the device itself is painfully slow, especially if I examine the Windows folder and it'S sub-folders. Using ActiveSync and the Explorer on the DesktopPC is better but not efficient too. So I wrote a little tool for myself I want to share with whomever it appeals to use it.

CEListFiles is a tool that displays the device's file/folder structure on your Desktop PC. There are a few special features:
it shows each folders size including all subfolders
it shows ROM files with a little "R" in the icon
it lets you export and import the file/folder structure so you can compare it to a previous state or have the file/folder structure analysed by a more experienced user without need to have access to the device
CEListFiles is easy to use:
connect your device to your DesktopPC via ActiveSync
select the folder you want to examine in the edit field ("/" for the all folders)
click the button bottom left
Attached you find the most recent version CEListFiles 1.5
If you like CEListFiles just buy me a beer.
I'm impressed: great work!
usefull for me too, let's test the speed
Is there a way to choose custom folders in Sense Gallery or Android stock Gallery or Photos (Android 2.1) instead of having it show ALL the photos and videos?
I have an archive folder which has thousands of pictures and I don't want it showing up every time because it takes a while to load.
Or is there an apk that'll do this?
+1 I'm not a fan of this either... You can hide certain ones if you press menu but nothing specific.
Can't believe some of the brainiacs over here haven't figured this out yet..
create a ".nomedia" file in the folder

It's been discussed here before too
Gallery Enabler should do the trick. I haven't tried it on 2.2 yet but it works great on 2.1.

Gallery Enabler does the .nomedia trick, only from your phone so you can enable/disable folders whenever you like.

I know about the .foldername trick.. I don't like it though because a file or folder with . (period) in the beginning will not show up on my mac of pc either.. (on PC I could say view hidden files.. which again, I don't like..on Mac I'd have to install Houdini or something)..
Also It's a hassle when I WANT it to show.. in which case I'd have to rename the folder. I'd rather using a normal file name and not have it show
