Touch screen problem.Please help!!!

I have my Jade about 4 months and everything works perfectly until today.When i try to select something on the screen the phone selects items above or under my selection. When i restart my phone (even hard restart 2 times, aligning the screen countless times) for a first 5 minutes everything is OK but later its coming back (the same issue)
Please someone help.Any solutoin???

EDIT: I flashed the phone with newest HTC rom.The phone now reacts better but sometimes the issue with the screen happens again.Not that often as before.Anyone????

If the screen looses his adjustment very often you have to think for an hardware-defect.

I think it's a hardware problem. I experienced that before, not HTC though but O2. Changed the screen.. wallla. Better utilise your warranty clause now.

only need to change the touch pad layer not the whole screen which can b extremly costly

How about re-calibrating the screen? Have you tried that?

I think he did several times ("aligning" is supposed to mean "calibrating" in #1, I presume).

Only to make it clear: The program "TouchFlo" = user interface does not launch - so what do you see exactly (normal home-screen?)? Or do you mean that the touch function of the screen does not work?

Strange green lines (non-fatal but breask touch)

Did u guys ever get these?
have encountered it on Lock screen, Phone, even Total Cmdr!
This prevents sliding, but taps will still work...
HTC support tells me to hard reset and hope for the best!

I had this on my Omnia once (WM 6.1). After a Soft-Reset it never happened again. Do you still get this after a Soft-Reset?

It has something to do with the handwriting SIP being activated even when another SIP is in use...sadly, only a soft reset will make it go away. At least that's what I derived after some observation, in a similar thread.

hd2 did a master reset by itself and bricked itself.

I pressed the I.E to log on here funny enough,when suddenly my hd2 did a master reset by its own accord. A full master reset not a soft reset. How can this be even possible ?. This is crazy doing it by itself. After a while i tried setting up my internet again when it froze. i did a soft reset and now its stuck in load up(blue o2 screen). tried taking battery out and in and several soft resets but same. help.

are you sure you havent tried flashing a custom rom recently?

Thankyou for the fast reply. My hd2 is still basically standard. No roms flashed ever. last thing i downloaded was yesterday which was win office 2010 update on market place. phone has been fine all day.

started working again. i saw that somehow only had 11mb left on device memory. it was 90mb a few hours a go. i started looking into win and what suddenly swallowed my memory when it has self master reset again. Going to call it HAL from now on lol. Im just leaving it on charge at moment.

Just a quick update.. I managed to beat hal to it and do a master reset. Seems to be working ok. Even opera working again. I think it was the app i downloaded from market place. All i can think off.

hello... i had a brief search in thease forums but couldn't see anything on my issue... appologies if i have overlooked it... i was wondering if there was any way to increase the screen size of some games i have on my hd2... they appear at the top left of my screen and look like they would be more comfortable on my old se k800i screen...
if anybody has any answers to help me then it would be much apprieciated...

this is the most unadequate place to post this question, probably it's a case of thread hijacking, anyway those would be games programmed to specifically work on VGA screens, there's no way that I know of to make them work in WVGA, because they just don't know how to

My HTC HD2 Refuses to boot

Hi Folks,
I rushed down here for help on what to do. My HD2 refuses to boot beyond the white screen with HTC on it. it happened suddenly. The phone frooze after a call and I did a soft reset and then it goes harewire refusing to boot.
I'm disappointed and confused at the same time..should a mobile device this expensive cause me this hassle? 'll appreciate a way out of this.. suggestions are welcome. What can do to restore my HD2?

have you flashed a new rom at all?

hmm, have you tried a hard reset? (you will lose all data!)

the same happed to me two days ago. I was playing around with the phone(making some screenshots ) when the phone become very very slow. with difficulties I managed to soft reset, but when it tray to restarts it stooped to the white logo.
the solution to me was a ROM Upgrade from official HTC site.
I was in:
R 2.05.51.05m2
G 15.28.50.07w

before the update. also have installed :

a lot of analogs clocks and planets and i think every kind of emulator and game available for the phone

Just to let you know, my phone did this as well and, long story short..
the problem was the battery..if the pins get bent or damaged
the phone will only show the "pre boot screen" .

[Q] Touch screen de-aligns

Long and short of it, I want to know where the alignment settings for HTC touch are kept and if there is a program that automatically restores or force sets those alignment settings regardless of changes made.
You see I'm currently reloading software into my brothers HTC Touch Elfin.
I find myself doing this for the 3rd time in 3 months as a result of the touch screen alignment going completely insane and ending up almost entirely out of scope of the touch screens defined area. (My brother some how managed to operate his phone for a month with half his touch screen inactive lol)
So, I've been hard resetting the device and realigning on Initial Setup as a work around as i can't get to the alignment settings in the control panel.
I can't keep having to reload software all the time as it gets very time consuming and I really want to sell this phone off as my brother no longer uses it.
LMFAO as i was writing this, low and behold, touch screen just de-aligned itself.
I attempted a suggestion in the touch diamond forum to replace my biotouch.exe.
Didn't make a difference at first but i came back to the phone an hour later and its touch screen is re-aligned. :/
