Hi, I was able to pair my x1 to my pioneer headunit in my car and get the a2dp to work, but say when I leave the car and it d/c as it should, it does not automatically reconnect when i start the car again like it should, I have to manually go into the settings and set wireless stereo again. Anybody know a solution to this? I am used to my old phone just automatically connecting everytime I start the car. Phone is visible also.
Hi, can I ask how you get your pioneer unit to work with X1? I've tried pairing my Pioneer unit to my X1 and it doesn't connect. Btw, I want to use my unit for handsfree calling. Thanks.

Hey guys,
Does anyone have experience with this head unit?
I am getting this head unit in the mail and i wanted to know if it works as advertised with the mogul. I want to use it as a handsfree and to stream sirius through my car speakers via A2DP.
Are there any tricks or tips for use with this head unit?
Which BT stack and rom function the best with this head unit?
I am REALLY excited about it but I want to be prepared in case there are things I need to know.
Thanks guys!
I have the same setup. Streaming audio through BT works excellent. I do have issues with making and recieving calls sometime though. Ever since I was using the bootleg ROM (prior to GPS official roll out) my calls are hit and miss. At first I could just leave the BT "on" on the phone and I could turn the car off, then back on and it would connect to the phone automatically. Now, everytime I turn the radio off, I gotta reset the BT on the phone.
Hi all,
I have the Pioneer CD-BTB200 connected to my car stereo (Pioneer DEH-P6900IB) and cannot connect my X1 to it..
I have searched and found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344216 but the posted solution does not work for me.. I installed total commander on the X1 and looked in the registry for the BT channel of my paired K800i (that can communicate with the BTB200) and tried it with that channel as well without success..
The BT module seems to recognise the phone but gives error message (just displays: ERROR ) when trying to pair the 2 (the 4 digit code I'm using is correct).
Can anybody help me? Would love to be able to make hands free calls again over the car stereo..
*BUMB*
Nobody has a solution? Plz help me out here guys!
I have a Pioneer bluetooth car stereo and when going through the pairing process, I enter the pin number on the x1 and the phone accepts the pairing, the stereo then says "Error". However, i gave it a few seconds and it will eventually paired. I then register the phone on the stereo so it will automatically pair. Now everything works perfectly, better than my Nokia e71 and N95 as these refuse to Auto connect at all.
Nope, doesn't do the trick for me.. I have waited for like 5 minutes withthe ERROR messages in the screen, but it doesn't get past that..
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?
I have the same Pioneer BT module and also get an error with my Samsung i750. However, after I register the phone with the car unit and then make a few calls from the handset, the phone eventually connects and stays connected until I shut down the car. I was hoping that with X1 I won't have to deal with it anymore, but I guess no such luck Anyway, I think the Pioneer BT unit is very particular and only works with a few approved handsets, I would change the BT unit if I could to something better..

Trying to pair my HD2 with my Pioneer DEH-P710BT and neither device will recognize the other after numerous attempts to follow each of the owner's manuals. Both have Bluetooth switched on and are discoverable and this just worked with my old iPhone on the first try. Is there a trick to this or something I'm missing? Anyone been successful pairing an HD2 to a Pioneer headunit? Thanks!
I have a sony xplod and it works fine with my HD2. You want to put your stereo into pairing mode and search for it with your phone, like you would with a bt headset.
I have the exact same model and I've experienced endless frustration trying to get it to work seamlessly with the HD2. My Blackberry has no issues with the connection to the DEH-710BT radio. There seems to be an issue with the devices establishing a connection, however when they do finally connect it stays reliable for as long as the radio is on.
Going through the Bluetooth settings in the HTC Sense menu often causes the connections to be reset and not work without a number of repairing attempts. Eventually it will work, but its taken me up to 10 minutes to get A2DP and the headset profile to work together.
There are some posts about people having issues with other car stereos and registry settings that are supposed to help. I've tried the registry settings without success in having the devices fully automatically connect.
After playing with the devices for a while, I've gotten it so that the devices 100% of the time automatically connect with the headset profile, however I cannot get them to automatically connect with the A2DP profile. The reliable work-around I've found is after I start my car, I go to Start->Settings->Bluetooth and then click on Stereo Audio under the Pioneer Device. While a bit of a pain, it isn't nearly as bad as trying to use the HTC Sense menu.

speoples20: You're exactly right, my headunit would not find the HD2 but the HD2 found the headunit (took me 5 tries before I got a successful pairing). Thanks!
dmattox: Thanks for the heads up about the A2DP situation, I don't have music loaded on the device yet since I use thumb drives but I'll have to try it out and report back if I have better luck. It is cool that the A2DP feature is there, I don't believe this was supported on the iPhone.
I currently run a Pioneer AVIC-D3 using the Pioneer CD-BTB200 bluetooth module.
I have no issues with connecting my HD2 (and previously my Touch Pro2) to my head unit for both voice and bluetooth stereo.

I have the AVIC Z110BT on my car and I connect the HD2 fine. I do have to do it from the HD2 and not the AVIC unit as opposed to when I had my iphone, but my HD2 connects flawlessly and I can use BT for Audio without any skip. My iphone used to skip every 30 seconds when I played it with the BT Audio connection. I have Energy Rom on my phone, but it worked all the same when I had stock rom as well.
I am having a problem with my car's handsfree and automatic reconnection to my Nexus 4.
My car is paired (and when it is paired I select "Don't ask again" about access to the Address book). However when I return to the car, bluetooth on the phone does not automatically reconnect to the bluetooth handsfree in the car like it did with my previous two phones (SGS2 and SGS3).
I can go into bluetooth settings, and click on the handsfree device and it connects right away and works fine, but I really don't want to do that every time I get in my car.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you.
bump-- anyone?
Hi, I have a head-unit with android 12 and I need to connect the car stereo bluetooth to them.
The problem is that disconnects every time I try to connect.
I do:
Reset bluetooth app
Unpair, pair etc etc
No setting for pairing mode in the head unit (passkey/numeric comparision).
Modified all options under deveolpers setting without luck.
I can connect phone or tablet (with a code), so I think that he cant pair with devices without screen.
is there anybody experiencing the same?
Edit: So I think that the headunit has a sink bluetooth and they can't send sound like the phone, is that correct?
What solution has this?
