Here's a quick coding of the screen rotation utility while I was developing the navigation panel. Thought it might be useful for folks who may want to have screen orientation mode such as landscape anti-clockwise and reverse portrait.

First release (v1.0) - 16th Dec 08
The utility can be run in two mode, the "UI" mode basically triggers a pop up, like the one in the screenshot. The "toggle" mode basically rotates the screen in clockwise manner.
Updated (v.1.1) - 2nd Aug 09
Updated the utility to have the ability to toggle, cycle, set via command line or menu. If you use the utility program without any parameters, it'll cycle the rotation. See readme.txt (or below) for more information
Code:
Options & Parameters
====================
/menu Display pop up menu to select the orientation mode (Normal, Reverse Portrait, Landscape 90 deg, Landscape 270 deg)
/toggle Toggle Orientation mode between Normal & Landscape
/set Set the orientation mode, requires 2nd parameter to be the Orientation mode (see Orientation Mode definition below)
Orientation Mode Definition
===========================
0 Normal
1 Landscape (90 deg)
2 Reverse Portrait
3 Landscape (270 deg)
To be used with the /set option. E.g. RotateScreen /set 3

nice app. ideally i'd like to be able to automatically call this app with a gesture - say down and left to rotate to the left, etc.
as far as i'm aware, this would only be possible with an app such as ftouchsl (http://www.ftouchsl.com/) which i tried and couldn't get to work consistently. anyone else got any other ideas on how to easily rotate the screen ?
Thanks for sharing!!!

my apologises, I think it should be 4 instead of 3. can you check?
yup, works, thanks
Thank you sooo much zenkinz
Your application for rotation saved me a lot of heartache. I use my omnia 2 like a mini laptop with a bluetooth keyboard but without being able to work on excel in landscape it would have made the phone useless and I like so much of everything else on it. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Still works
Thanks a lot for that great app.
Still works on Touch Pro 2
zenkinz, thanks for the screen rotate utility. i have been looking for the working one for my omnia 2. after install this, it works well with other applications such as resco explorer, phone book, MS office etc. But it is not working in rotating the main menu under touchwiz enabled. but this is ok, im fine with this.
i appreciate your effort very much and keep on your hard work. great job!
THX!
Hi Zenkinz,
Thanks for your time and effort. It works great on my old Universal and saves me a lot of time and effort when switching to 270 Landscape.
Three Cheers!

Just wanted to say that there is an app that a number of chefs already cook into their ROMS --
WkTASK
which has a whole series of functions most people I think never even discover:
One of them is a gesture-swipe activated Horizontal-Vertical rotator, and back again.
This is found in SETTINGS, where you can set the "x" or "close" button at top-right to have several additional functions:
tap --
tap & hold --
gesture 1: slide finger to the LEFT, from x button -- assign function such as H-V rotate (many other options also, such as "go to Today screen")
gesture 2: slide finger downward from X button -- assign function such as H-V rotate.
I'm only adding this post since (a) someone way at top of thread asked "i wish it would work with gestures"... and (b) the comment above "finally someone gets this".
I am a huge fan of WkTASK -- and have nominated it for a DEVVY award, due to its amazing versatility and power in a lightweight app.
Similarly, using QUICKMENU, another of my favorite apps -- you can set a tap &hold funtion for the Start button, top left. I have used this before also, set to perform H-V rotate (and toggles back)
hi guys thanks for the appz. I'm new to this but can anyone explain how to use it. I installed but how to use it. Thanks
thanks a Lot. This works nice on my HD2

Hi all,
I have lurked on this forum many times and have found it very useful especially in terms of my recent ROM update issues with my new Diamond .. which turned out to be the HK version - gah! .. but that is another story.
I just wanted to let people know that I have written a tool to show storage space use on your Windows Mobile in a TreeMap. There probably are other tools like this kicking around, but I couldn't find one that was any good.
Main Memory fills up pretty fast on the Diamond if your not careful to install absolutely everything to the storage card, and also set your default save location to the storage card.
The screen shot below is of the app and the Main Memory of my Diamond after I found and killed off the offending files.
Anyhow, if your interested you can mosey on over to the download page: here
Cheers,
James.

welcome to our forum. interesting tool!
Thanks for the welcome
I am curious to find out if anyone will find it useful. I have put it on several phones of guys I work with and they have found all sorts of garbage clogging up their phones.
Will give it a few days - maybe some people will try it out.
J.
thank you for the app/tool!
working fine and showing all...
in yr pic i can see you are using the app in portrait but it takes all the screen.
warning: this app is better viewed in landscape. this mean i have to stop tf3d and rotate the screen or use the gtool....in portrait the app is 1/3 of the screen. anything i should know? vga/qga related?
i can not see any garbage but this might be as a result of intensive use of SkTools and it's cleaning tools.
opera is a monster in device and iGO8 is the champion on my internal memory.
i'll take a better look in the evening.
Thanks for trying it out!
Yeah - I'm not handling the switch to landscape mode, however if you start the app while already in landscape mode it should be fine.
I'm using the HTC stock ROM in my Diamond so I'm not really sure how to disable TF3D and change into Landscape. However its fairly easy to change the code to handle the event and have it recalc for the new dimensions. Will put it in 1.1! Shouldn't take long
Cheers,
J.
thank you
will try this out on the rom im using when i get home later
Oh yeah - and something that is probably not obvious to everyone is that you can click on the folders to zoom-in and take a closer look at the folder contents.
Maybe I should underline the folder names or colour them blue or something ... Hmmm.. will have a think about that.

lol i already tried with no success! maybe because is too small (1/3 of the screen).
btw, disabling tf3d is easy. go to settings/personal/today/items and disable the tf3d like any other plug in . after that you''l have the "old" today screen.
go to settings/system/screen and rotate yr screen.
i did the above, rotate the screen and open yr app but again i got only 1/3 of the screen!

Thanks for telling me about the Setting->Today->Items. That did indeed turn off TF3D, but then on the Settings->System->Screen couldn't find the screen rotate thing. There are three tabs (Alignment, Clear Type, Text Size) - It is 1am here, perhaps it will be there in the morning.

on general you have on the top of the tab "orientation" with 2 options "portrait" and "landscape" and underneath you have "align screen".

interesting that you have "alignment" and i have "general" containing "orientation" and "align screen". this is wm thing...why different?
Very nice app, thanks

Hmmm checked it again this morning but its still not there - HTC must have taken it out of their latest stock ROM (I'm on 1.93.831.1)
Oh well - I tested it in the emulator and new version (1.1) handles the orientation change fine now
Can you tell me if it works for you on your Diamond? 1.1 CAB is here

Tried doing the rotation automatically using GSen with v1.1, rotates the screen and app fine but can take up to 15 to 20 seconds to rotate.

Could you try 2 scenarios for me?
- Start up the app and then rotate to landscape before doing a scan
- Start up the app, do a scan and let it render, then rotate.
If there is a major time difference in the time taken to rotate between these two scenarios, then the problem is something to do with MobileMonger. Otherwise it must be something else. Hmm.
Cheers,
J.

Did that and the screen and app rotate instantly.
- Start up the app, do a scan and let it render, then rotate.
Doing the above and it's a little quicker, but still takes and average of 10 secs to rotate once the results are displayed.

Yes - should be - I have DPI detection to change the font sizes up for devices less than 192 DPI ... i.e. 320x240. Obviously since there are less pixels the folder depth displayed can be less ... but on the up-side rendering is faster

I got mine pre-release from Hong Kong and since had a difficult time getting the official updated 1.93 stock ROM for it. (It came with 1.34!!!)
3 do not offer the Diamond as one of their supported phones, but I can tell you its works really well (Just have to get the URL for their Planet 3 service - which I have if you need it)
I'm on the $8(100MB) data plan and have push HTML email from Exchange 2007 enabled with full attachments - and it works very well. Small email takes 5 seconds from the time it hits exchange to then hit my phone.

Hi,
is there a way to include an overview about the RAM usage into this program?
(Original post here.)
EDIT: The program has been updated from version 1.0.0.1 to version 1.01. Changes include:
-Keys now follow the screen orientation, even when rotated.
-OK + red phone key = toggle radio (ie, turn phone on and off)
-OK + C = toggle bluetooth
-OK + Enter key = toggle wifi
-Windows + * key = toggle keyboard backlight
-Windows + # key = turn off screen (does NOT put device to sleep! wifi will still be on, programs will still run, etc.)
*****************************
gudong over at PDAClan has just written a program that allows you to use the number pad on the 614 as a D-pad. It works like this: hold down the end call button for 1 second, and the red LED will light up to let you know it's working. When it's on, the number pad keys have the following functions:
1:Home 2: Up 3: Page up
4: Left 5: Enter 6: Right
7: End 8: Down 9: Page Down
0: Tab
To switch back, just hold down the end call key again.
Also, you can change the backlight by holding down the Windows key and a number:
win + 7: 1st level of screen brightness, with the keyboard backlight off. Good for using indoors in average lighting.
win + 8: 2nd level of screen brightness, also with keyboard backlight off. Good for bright rooms and outdoors.
win + 9: Brightest level (use when in direct sunlight)
win + 0: Lowest brightness level, keyboard backlight on. Good for dark rooms and nighttime.
Enjoy!
oh yeah! Nice application. I was trying to do something similar with Aebutton, but this is really great.
Found some bugs, softkeys are not working. Is it possible to fix it?
Really? My softkeys are working fine. You mean the physical softkey buttons, right?
Oh man, uninstalled aebutton and now all correct
Thanks for the application ))
wow thats really good!
but one small thing, how do you close it completely? I've pressed the end call button, but i am still able to change brighness with Win+7, 8, 9, 0 keys. But the D pad function does not work.
edit: Anyway to change the keys? Tried this on a simple menu, and it all works but my "C" cancel key does not exit the menu so there is no way to cancel using the buttons. Could the "tab" (0) key be made into a cancel button?
You don't really need any additional software if you only need up/down/left/right arrows, just swipe your finger from the center of the keypad to side (without pressing buttons, like you do with the wheel).

yes but what happens if you want to press left 10 times? with the above software you can press and hold "4" and it will do it, otherwise you'll need to do 10 swipes of the finger.
i find that when i do sms'es i often corrent mistakes like that, my finders to big to use the touch screen to put the cursor between two "i"s
also withthe software enabled you can use the "swipe" method as well as the "ring" plus the dpad options so now i use the ring to scoll to a selection then press the "5" button to make the selection instead of the akward return key.
great update!
having the option to turn BT/wifi/phone via hardware butted is great, i do have it already via touch screen buttons, but this saves me tapping the touch screen as often
Btw you need to post (not edit) that the files been updated (to bump this thread up) otherwise everyone will think theres no change and not both looking at the thread!
Thanks
Thanks. This is one of the most useful apps for the ipaq. It's the first one i install after hard reset. One idea - is it possible to make use of the other keys like the win and ok key and the softkeys. I'm not sure if it's possible but here it is: The softheys become delete and enter keys (like in old handsets) and we use the win, ok , C and ENTER keys on the keyboard. I'm not sure if it's a little too much , as this could mean modifying some of the dlls. Really - i don't know programming at all. Don't get me wrong I really like this program and realise that even having this is more than enough - use it very often and it's just great. It's just a suggestion, not a request. The purpose - maybe a half qwerty keyboard.
Great app
I have been looking for something similar for a long time!
Now I can run CoolCamera. Does anyone knows how to change video resolution to 640x480?
Lp Grga
Hello,
Can anybody help me with installing of this? I downloaded Zip file and there is only one .exe file in it. But i can not run that exe file corretly. Where is problem?
Thx
---------------------------
...\CZ612Key.exe

...\CZ612Key.exe is not a valid Win32 application.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
it's not a windows instller. It's the application itself. Just copy it in on your device in the folder /windows/startup and you're good to go.
Thx for hlp. I found that this soft working and i'm able to change brightnes but not able to activate Dpad with Red end call button.
If i hold it for 1s or longer i could not see any led flash and also not able to use Dpad.
I did not use any software for button mapping.
Any idea what is wrong?
I got the same problem above...
i just got the problem yesterday.. the day before the program works just fine.. i love it.. but suddenly i cannot activated the dpad using end button... my iPAQ is fully loaded.. but i don't using other keymapper..
i was thought that SPB keyboard is not compatible with the keymapper.. but after i uninstalled the spb the problems is still...
is there any way to activated the dpad rather than pressing the end button?
or other keymapper program that works like it?
thx
you need to run the program again if you reset your device.
I have mine to do a weekly backup at 2am Mondays So when i wake i have to run the dpad program to have it active for the rest of the week.
If you want the program to start every time you restart the device, I recommend copying the .exe to \Windows\Startup. That way it starts every time your device does.
Ah, life saver..
Now I can play space invaders without pulling out my BT keyboard.
this one is realy great but unfortunatly,
the -Windows + # key = does not really turn off the screen, it just shows a black screen

Gyrator is a great app... with a load of functions but I found that I didn't really use any of them except the screen tilt/Gsensor function.
That said one of the problems I had with Gyrator is that it always stayed in my open apps which is not THAT big a deal, but would just annoy the crap out of my OCD brain!
Anyway I decided to make a different version for myself and anyone else who JUST wants the Screen tilt function.
This appliaction will:
- allow you to stop and start the screen switch as you please
- start up with your device if desired
- allow exceptions (Opera is an exception by default because it already uses the Gsensor)
* I recommend if you use Tomtom to add that in a well (to avoid the screen switching when you hit a bump!)
- NOT show up in the running programs list! (Most important thing to me!)
- You also do NOT need to install .NETCF 3.5 to use this. It should run fine on 2.0!

ok I really like this app. I have it setup with rotate only apps in the exceptions list. (word, excel, outlook, sms, notes, internet explorer, skyfire, rescoe explorer 2007, splash id)
the phone app on incoming call works perfectly this way. face down mute still works. If I am in landscape in outlook and a call comes in the incoming call screen will pop up in portrait. if I face down the phone the phone mutes. (gyrator would not do this and has issues with the incoming call screen on my NA diamond)
the rotate is also very speedy. definitely usable. much faster than the stock opera rotation for sure. although this app still does not affect the opera function because I believe it ignores it as a default. (album, and teeter ignored as default as well I believe)
I will run it for a few days and see how the battery drain is. how is this on the raphael in terms of battery drain?
(my diamond has netCF3.5 installed, so I did not test the use under netCF 2)
***bug 1- bug on my diamond is when using advance setting with "rotate only apps in exception" list manila rotates after hitting volume up down side key while the "system volume" window is in focus under manila.

Whoa... good catch! This issue has been fixed. Redownload version 1.52 from the 1st thread! Thanks!
btw - I havent noticed any "out of the ordinary" battery drain while developing. Nobody in the Raphael forums has mentioned anything either...
Also, if you remove opera from the list it should try to rotate opera as well. Same thing with teeter and album...

ive used 1.51 all day. it works very well. ill try 1.52 with the fix on system volume. thanks.
*one bug that your app shares with gyrator2 is that if your app is run under the standard config (with opera, teeter, album listed as exceptions) the "incoming phone call" focus window will not mute the ring on face down. the work around for me is to run your app with your advanced config of apps listed for rotation.
but great app. it seems very stable and fast on the rotations.

I just set your app under advanced settings and list my apps I want to rotate.
it works perfectly for me!
*the text for your download link is still listed as 1.51 on top thread btw.

Another good catch, thanks.
New version 1.53 available for download.
- fixed a few issues that affected the Touch Pro users...
Even better rotation time!
Hopefully some more Diamond users will post feedback?
Nevertheless, check 1st post for download link!
Checking "auto startup" gives me an error ("Error creating shortcut") after i press "save"..
Thank you sir, application is great and yet easy to work with
Excellent, though if I wanted to prevent 180 degree mode, which I've ticked, nothing really happens . In my experience G-nes and Flip It were too sensitive. This is near enough perfect.
Another oddity is that it doesn't work with my Manila (I have landscape there with the particular ROM that I'm on). It just doesn't tilt. Anyone else experience that?
With gyrator or gsen, when i go into messaging tab and rotate to landscape mode, the phone always spazzes out and return back to TF3D home screen!!1 Does this app solve this problem or is still very possible??

what phone are you using? on touch diamond for me it works great. sms and outlook rotate fast. (1.53 seems the same as 1.52 for me)
very nice application. i tried on my htc diamond and it's working nice and fast.
one exception, i can't disable touchflo from rotating. i have tried "touchflo" "touchflo3d" and "manila". nothing help, it continue rotating.
thank's and keep the good work.

Yeah, I included manilla NOT to rotate by default... Reson being that when my app rotates the manilla screen it becomes distorted on the right hand side. Can you check for me if it will rotate correctly on your ROM? If you go into the advanced option menu and check the box that says "Only rotate applications in my exception list" and add "start" to the exceptions list. This will set the app to ONLY rotate manilla. Then see if it rotates correctly or if it distorts in your ROM as well...
When "Always allow 180 degree rotation" is checked, it will allow the exception applications to rotate 180 degrees. When it is unchecked it will not allow any rotation in the exception applications.

Is it rotating to landscape or just reverse portrait? If its only reverse portrait you can uncheck the box that says "Always allow 180 degree rotations" and it should solve it. If not try using the "Show app names" button and see what it says while you are on the home screen.

Hi all If you already follow my Thread of" Pocket Gforce" you know that i stop working on it because of the lack of time.
Atm igot myself whit some spare time and whit lots of requests to continue the project.
So i start developing a new Pocket Gforce (v2) that is fully customizable and works in any Resolution(VGA, WVGA, etc and Landscape or Portrait) as long you got a proper skin.
This is where you come in.
This is the skin that i made and i will explain how you can make one.

BIG UPDATE
The "basic.png" is the skin that i create (i advice to use paint.net or other program to make the skins using layers)
The "basic.ini" is the configuration of the skin like this
//Starts Here (don't change the lines order)
Basic Skin (skin name)
Landscape=1 (0= portrait 1= landscape)
Gforce X axis
dial_enable=1 (is thedial visible 1/0)
dial_scale=1 (scale in G)
dial_x=324 (x coordinate (remember uper left corner is x0 y0))
dial_y=360 (y coordinate )
dial_l=80 (length)
dial_z=0 (where is zero value)
dial_a=29 (aperture of the dial)
dial_color_r=255 (dial red color 0~255)
dial_color_g=255 (dial green color 0~255)
dial_color_b=255 (dial blue color 0~255)
digital_enable=0 (digital value enable 1/0)
digital_X=300
digital_y=250
digital_size=30
digital_color_r=0
digital_color_g=0
digital_color_b=255
graph_enable=0 (graph enable 1/0)
graph_x=0
graph_y=0
graph_Width=0 (width of the graph)
graph_Height=0 (height of the graph)
graph_max=1 (max value of graph)
graph_show_max=0 (show max value or not 1/0)
graph_color_r=0
graph_color_g=0
graph_color_b=0
graph_frame_enable=0 (show frame around graph 1/0)
graph_frame_color_r=0
graph_frame_color_g=0
graph_frame_color_b=0
graph_background_enable=0 (show background on graph or transparency 1/0)
graph_background_color_r=0
graph_background_color_g=0
graph_background_color_b=0
// the file continues for the Y Z T and Speed dials (at the moment speed dont work)
(Midle dial is "S", left one is "Y", right is "Z" and bottom is "X"
And this is the part that show all the skins that you have in the skins folder and where you can change them. To access it push middle button or open "Pocket gForce 2 Options"
Unbaliveble only one person post something and actually no one contact me about skins or beta testing so i suppose no one really cares... but i had 1215downloads of it
So if the community don't want to help i just gonna sell my project as i was always for open source but...
Any way the program is now working whit the Sensors and in the next week i will test whit the gps part.
So do you really care/like about Pocket Gforce ? What to see Pocket Gforce 2 at max capacity, the way you like and above all FREE?
So Start making some skins...

Please keep up the good work, if you received no big feedback for your apps, this might be just because the people are happy with it and got no problems. I see most of the replies for any application is based on errors and bugs.
Hi all i made some major updates as the Sensores are now working and i implemented a graph system.
Check the skins i made so you can understand the possibility of this program, and ppl plz contribute whit some skins tips or critics cuz i need some incentive to keep it free

It should work but back then the sensors where not activated, check the latest versions, but as the originals skins don't have the proper size you will not use the full size of your screen.

I have downloaded it. I will reply after the use.
Ah thats awesome
I love the version befor, hmm i dont remember the version number but i truly love it!
One thing i think you implement or change is a tab or mode that the speedometer is the same size as the overall g-meter.
That i think would be nice
Just PM me if you need any testing!

EDIT
I noticed one thing, I have SPB Mobile Shell, on a Touch Diamond, and when i start the app and it change the display to landscape, it wont change back to regular mode after exit.
Cheers

hi !!
i've never used your app, but i can test the last version if you want !!
I'm searching such an app for a long time, because i can't buy me a Nissan GTR !! (To understand the joke, ask google to show you the computer screen of that car !!)
Have a nice day !!
love the v1 app but couldn't get it to show in MPH, so thought i'd give the new version a try. Looking good so far but the screen doesn't fill properly on my TouchHD. Also, can't find a way to exit the app, other than taskmanager which leaves the screen in landscape mode. Thx

I supose my explanation on the first post is a ls some what confuse, so here is a temporaty tourial as i supose i can make a video and post in youtube
I recommend you grab a copy of the free Paint.Net whit as me tool "magic wand" for select parts of images and have multi layer capability. There are lots of tutorials about it.
1. google some gauge dials like this one for example
2. find some nice background for it
3. use Paint.net and the tool "magic wand" to cut only the dial (normally you need to adjust the % of the tool to get the part you need.
4. you wil get a clean image of the dial without the background, remove also anything you dont want, like needles if it there is any or any text you dont need.
5. make a new image whit you device resolution whit the background
6. Put a new layer on top of the background and copy/past the dial in the spot you want
7. repeat the last step fot the rest of the dials
8. save it as "test.png" MUST BE PNG
9. Open one of the already created skins like "basic.ini"
(check post one for a explanation of the ini file)
10. disable anything that you dont use (like some dials digitals or graphs)
11. start putting coordinates and sizes (use paint.net to get the coordnates for some poits like the center of the dial.
12. save it as "test.png"
13. copy the "test.png" and "test.ini" to the skins folder
14. enjoy
Ok, thought I'd try something simple to start with so i just made an HD version of your basic skin. I wanted to put the speed on there too, but it shows as huge 'g' numbers so i just turned it off in the ini. Once i figure out the concept of skinning properly i'll come up with some others (i prefer a portrait style). Incidentally i the middle dial is 'T' not 'S' as stated in your instructions. Couldn't figure out how to make the dials eliptical rather than round either.
I think i'm getting the hang of it. Tweaked gfAnalizer for the HD and created a new skin from scratch. Let me know what you think, obviously the speedo isn't working but i've left it enabled anyway.
Nice start whit the skins, im going to put the layer files of basic so ppl can use them easy.
Im compiling users skin on then 3post, after some more skins appear
Just been for a test drive
There are a few things i think this app needs:
Exit option
Calibrate or Zero option when installed in car.
0-60 time which starts when car moves off and stops when reaching 60.
Log facility, ideally with gps info stored for overlay on google maps

Can anyone help?
The calculator on my HD2 has stopped rotating, meaning I can't access the scientific calculator options.
It was working until recently and I haven't installed any software on the phone recently, so I'm fairly certain it's nothing I've done.
I even resorted to removing the rotation and re-adding it using BSB Tweaks, but that didn't work either?
Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, is there a fix?
It's only a small bug, but it's damned annoying!!
the calculator is supposed to rotate by default, it becomes a different type of calculator when its in landscape. (See THIS post for how to make the calculator give two different answers to the same question)
If you force it to rotate using an app like bsbtweaks, you will lose the landcsape functionality, , it will rotate, but stay as the standard portrait calc, not the landscape scientific calc.
Same with the music tab, if you force landscape sense, you lose the ability to turn landscape and side swype through albums, , , it still rotates, but stays in portrait/song mode.
Dunno why yours has stopped, though, just thought id add some info about landscape apps.
Same Problem
Hallo,
I just experienced the same problem this morning. All other applications rotate as they should.
Last program which I installed was Cookies Hometab. But after uninstall the calculator still doesn't rotate. So it is not CHT.
Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason?

Sam, I know how the calculator auto rotate is SUPPOSED to work. My point was that, until recently, mine was working properly, then it just appeared to stop. I'm also aware of how BSB Tweaks works when used to force the rotating of an app. The only reason I tried it was as a last resort after exhausting all other possibilities and not being able to find an answer via Google. So, whilst I'm grateful you have taken the time to reply, you haven't really told me anything I didn't already know.
Thanks anyway. If anyone else has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
Cheers.

My HD2 calculator is not working in landscape mode anymore since yesterday.
Last program I installed was Cookies Hometab as well.
Any idea or solution, anyone?
Thanks in advance.
i never even knew it rotated to give those extra options! Thanks.
Sorry i cant help with the problem though!

Not sure if other calculator rotation problems are the same as mine, but I managed to fix mine...
I used BSB Tweaks 1.6.
Start it up.
Select Menu then Rotation.
Next, scroll through the list and check Calculator (CalculatorMain) is in the list. If it isn't in the list then go to Options and select Add Application. Follow the on screen instructions to add an application (navigate to app and shake phone!). Once you add the app you will need to exit BSB Tweaks and do a soft reset.
After the soft reset or if the calculator app is already in the Rotated Apps list, make sure all the applications tick boxes are unticked.
Select Options
Select Rotation Status
Tap Enabled (to check Enabled is now ticked you can go back into Options/Rotation Status)
Do a soft reset....and Bob's you gender re-assigned auntie!!!
This worked for me. Hope it works for you.
I got this problem today. In the morning, it worked fine then suddenly in the evening it stopped rotating, didnt install anything else. Then I got into BSB Tweaks\Menu\Rotation\Rotation Status\, I saw the Status was Disabled, so I enabled it again. Quit and check, it works fine now. Dont know if it can work for u
EDIT: didnt read ur post above, but +1, confirm this work
still need help
I haver the exact same problemwith my calculator.
the only difference is I never installed any tweaks.
the only thing I installed was cookies home tab
it still wont rotate in land scape mode.
some one please help me
Had the same problem with mms, the phone would go into landscape mode and stay there until reset, they only way to fix it was to perform a hard reset which is not cool. I think BSB Tweaks or Cookies Hometab is causing it but i like them so much that don't know what to do.
Thanks for the fix, I was having the same problem.
I had the same problem yesterday. Just go to registry editor and find:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor
and change AutoRotation from 0 to 1. That's it!
