Is there a software that gives you a list of all installed programs on you XDA II?

Thanks for the answer.

I'd like to have a txt file that give you all the installed programs.
Your solution can be interesting, but I saw also that there is a little software that do it. But I can't remember which one it is.
Bye,
Urosh
well since they are all in the registry then it would not be too hard to make such a program maybe if you remembered it's name search would give an url to it
I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=9333&highlight=installed+programs
It does something like this.
But now when I have read it carefully it is not exactly what I need.

Edit/Delete Message
how about a application that can show me the broadcast message sent out by the celluar operator on the today screen.
Custom Taskbar
I know there´s people working on this using batterystatus. BUT
make a program that hides the wm taskbar, and you can put your custom one would be great.
This!!! lol
Auto update SIM contacts
My SIM card is an emergency backup if my phone becomes unusable. I would like an application that automatically adds new contacts and updates any changed contacts from the phone to the SIM card.

PIM Backup v2.8 .. i hope this help u
What would be great to have in a ppc:
1. a finger friendly RSS viewer in A_C style able to play videos, sounds and display html articles without link to a Pocket Internet Explorer page
2. a finger friendly internet explorer. NetFront is the best one i saw for ppc but a Safari "remake" (not Safari-like) would be great. I saw in my wife's iphone and i can say it's the BEST internet browser ever.
3. a "webmail" client, i don't know how to explain this. It's also an iphone idea. Somewhat like a RSS reader, with which you login in your mailbox without the "push" thing. And then it works like a "refresh" on a webpage.
4. a slideshow (for a picture browser just like A_C's S2V) with "really" nice transitions effects, for entertaining purposes
5. a calendar app just like ThumbCal but with all the views and fields available in WM Calendar with one more feature. The ability to share an appointment (via sms for example) with another WM user who got the same app (so eventually installing this calender it will add a feature to the sms software to "add the received event")
Maybe it's too much oh, and:
6. if there is a WM app to let my contacts with address become a POI for the famous navigation softwares (MioMap, Tomtom, Navigon, etc.) it would be great.

He wants the contacts copied from Outlook to the SIM card automatically. That is, he adds contacts to Outlook, then, without any effort on his part, on some regular schedule, the app should look in Outlook and find new contacts and copy them to the SIM card.
I don't see in the PIMBackup thread that it is capable of this.

Better Device Password App
This has been suggested before...most recently I saw it in the S2U2 thread....
What I need is a better device password app....or maybe just an app that lets us skin the default WinMo password function. I absolutely love S2U2, but there is really no "security" about it. Anyone can unlock my phone with no issues. I have also tried using both S2U2 and the default password function. Works, but not smooth by any means.
Someone suggested modifying S2U2 to be like the iPhone's unlock function (gasp!). For that, you slide first, then are prompted for a pin code. That would be the perfect, best of both worlds, app.
Back in the WM2003 days, there were several apps like this (e.g., NiceStart, 1-Pass), but nothing since. There is PocketSecure, which is a great app, by a good developer, but right now it does not meet my needs (notification issue).
Thoughts?

There is no topic (at least nothing anywhere near recent) for Pocket Secure...and A_C has announce that he is done with S2U2 development for a while....thus I put it here.
This could be a call for a new app....but you are the OP, so you control the Poll
Thank you for your reply Dr.Mazika. Can't install the Opera 9.5 beta from an old link found on XDA because it (probably) counted the days i used Opera 8 trial in the past. So 0 days left and i couldn't find any other link about it (they don't even sell it?).
About the software already on the stage, you are right i should ask features there, but i am thinking that with more features something like thumbcal will lose its purpose: "tap tap et voilà, you are busy tomorrow night", and it won't be like that if it becomes full of options and features (althought maybe the views are possible).
I have been looking for the message screen colours to be inverted. I love the black themes and it would be so much better to just have black screen with white message. Im sure this couldnt be so hard to do for someone with experience??? would it?

i 2nd tat, but there should be some screen saver to superseed the default win password screen..just in case, somebody hardreset ur phone.
i would love to have a more comfortable Network-Tool,
maybe providing ping, ipconfig, telnet, (i know there's a nice putty version but it has no lan config tools) tracert, route tracert etc.^^
so i don't know if this is possible or if it has allready been realised, as you metioned just a suggestion..

Hello!
I've a new Samsung SGH-i620 smartphone (Win Mobile 6 with qwertz keyboard and without touchscreen).
I'm searching a today screen which displays a preview (subject) of emails I arrive via MS Exchange push.
I had this feature at my Blackberry and I would like to have it on my Samsung as well...
Any ideas? I've searched a lot but found nothing helpful...
Thanks a lot!
hm, I don't know if you can install it..but SPB Diary allows you to actually look at the text message or email before you open it
I'd look into the Manilla threads ...

Why would you send a noob with a non HTC device (not even Touchscreen) to the Manila threads?
The next thing you have is this poor guy adding a post to the already almost 1700 posts in that thread asking "I did everything in the instructions and I can't turn on my device..."
@El-Chico,
While I have no knowledge of what you are looking for, in order to save you hours upon hours of searching (and quite possibly ruining your device), do not take anything from the Manila 2D threads.
Moreover, unless SPB has a version of SPB Diary for Smartphone, I would not even try to install it either if I were you.
Hi and thanks for your replys!
SPB Diary seems exactly to be the right software - but it won't work on Windows Mobile Standard :-( I tried to install it but it abordes the installation process.
I've searched a bit and found "PocketBreeze" - this can show the subjects of mails on the today screen as well.
But - it works only with touchscreen devices!
I'm affraid, that there is no chance to get what I want for the moment - or do you have an idea, if it is possible to install one of the programs "by hand" and use them?
I've installed Thumbcal on my HD and it's my preferred calendar. How do I make this the default calendar application? ie enable access from the Touchflo home screen. I know I've seen an app somewhere which sorts this out for you but can't for the life of me remember where I've seen it.
Cheers

The new version 1.2.5 now overrides Manila TF3D and sets Thumbcal as the default application. Otherwise it's a search 100's of pages, install 3rd party app, uninstall 3rd party app, hack registry etc... etc.....

Thank you very much guys. Sorted.
That's great, I wanted to do this with Pocket Informant.
Only problem is, if I check tasks and then come back and click on a calendar item on my home page, it opens PI to tasks still? I linked to the pocketinformant.exe file. Is there a direct exe for the calendar itself?

Hi All,
Don't know if somebody already posted this, but I couldn't find a thread about it.
I just saw a link in a Dutch forum regarding a website where you can create your own panel.
Here's the link: http://www.mysonyericssonblog.com/x1panelcreator/index.php?step=1&lang=en
It's just that my Italian is not that good, so I cannot find the guide. Maybe somebody here can find it and explain how it exactly works. But it sure looks promising.
Herman
Here is the English tutorial
BTW. It's an HTML panel designer
WOW Nice find,
without reading it all yet, will do later, it looks like it will be incredibly simple to do something such as a program launcher.
cool, i'm thinking of making a Hyves panel (dutch facebook like social website)..
Groet, Steven
this sounds great but i dont know how to program in html
anyone one able to give me a basic guide
Wow! This is a great find!
Now I just need to come up with some good panel ideas...
Nice!
What you guys want?

Get hold of a WYSIWYG website editor and use one of those..
I think dreamweaver is still available as a trial, try that to build what you want to see, then save the page as html.
otherwise there's huge amounts of websites that give tutorials on html, it's not difficult at all.
SE Panel SDK supports native panel (i.e. panel developed using windows programming technique) and html-based panel. the latter will be more designer-friendly, but probably won't be sophiscated as the native since API will be limited. That said, with all the panel request on running certain app as the background, I got to say html-based panel might just well do the job.
This is a really awesome find. Makes things simpler/quicker...

Sounds like a good idea.
At the minute im just making a simple development panel.
Just so people can see how it works when they look at the HTML of the panel etc.
Ive managed to open .exe's etc, just wondering how to open sections of the .exe.
For example: clock.exe opens up the alarm bit where you can set alarms. However im wondering if the tabs on that part are also part of clock.exe
Does anyone know how I can access \\Windows of my X1 on my PC? I can only seem to access it using Total Commander on my X1 and to be honest. Its hard to scroll through thousands of files on such a small screen lol

Thats dependant on the games you have installed. I could do it with the games already on the phone but other than that, each person would have to customise it for their own phone

As long as you've got activesync or the vista version installed you should be able to go through my computer.. But I'm on my linux machine at the mo so can't say what exactly the path is.
I don't think you can overwrite files in x1 windows btw direct from the pc.
