How do you set up an alert to let you know that you have a voice mail message please?
Options --> Sounds&Notifications --> Notification --> Voice Mail
There you can set up what you like to.

Right,
When I use MSN Messenger, and I switch to another app, I receive a message, the phone vibrates. How do I stop this vibration?? The only way I've found out is to have the phone as sound off, or uncheck the notifications box in the sound settings - this is stupid because then there's no vibration for incoming calls or texts. Also, I don't want it to vibrate when I send a text message and it says "message sent", but I can't for the life of me find where to turn it off!
It is very frustrating, can anyone shed any light?
Sorry for the double post, but any ideas on this?
You can disable "IM: Nudge" and "IM: New instant message" notifications in Sounds & Notifications
Start -> Settings -> Sounds & Notifications [Notifications]

It's not there, nor is "text message sent".
Hey guys,
Searched the entire forum and HTC's manual but couldn't find any info of how to enable a Ringtone and vibration for incoming text messages at the same time. By default my device just rings and mostly times i can't hear it in my pocket. This creates a big inconvenience for me, in fact that I have to check my phone for incoming text messages all the time.
Is there any setting or app i can use to fix it?
Start > Settings >Sounds & Notifications> *switch to notification tab* > *scroll to Message: New Message under Event > you can enable vibration for new sms there.

thank u so much, u are a life saver!
It's the same sound for sms and mail and I can't find option to diversify them. Thanks!
create these folder on SD Card then add any mp3 or sounds to it.
all lower case
media/ audio/ ringtones/
media/ audio/ notifications/
media/ audio/ alarms/
you should then be able to see all added files when you change ringtone/alarm/notification.
Zedge is pretty good to get tones from

SMS = Messaging > Menu button > Settings > Scroll to the bottom and press Select ringtone under Notification settings
Email = Google Mail > Settings > Scroll to the bottom and press Select ringtone under Notification settings

Yep thats how i do it too. Also if you install Funtons or Instant buttons (both free from market) you can get more sounds added
I like to set my email notifications to silent. I upgraded to 4.3 today and now I'm getting a notification sound when I receive an email. I've looked in the sound menu in the phones settings and the gmail menu. Where's it at?

Nevermind, found it. Had to click on the email address in gmail settings to edit the individual email account settings.
