uTorrent WebUI not loading in HD Opera, did in Diamond Opera - Touch HD General

Anyone trying to use the uTorrent webUI with Opera on their Touch HD?
I used to use it pretty regularly on my Diamond and it worked perfectly. Doesn't actually load on the HD though. Gets stuck at the "Loading..." screen.
Wonder if something in opera:config might fix this?

Netfront 3.5 browser on HD?

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has tried this browser on their HD yet? I really want to try a different browser as Opera is just a little bit annoying with the freezing thing!! I really want to have a go with Skyfire but until they do an update for WVGA screens I can't.
So how does Netfront compare to Opera?
So no one has tried netfront then on the HD?
May have to be a guinea pig then lol

please do because i have used it in the past on my Kaiser and liked it from what i remember.
Ok just had a little play with Netfront 3.5. Here is a brief review, please ask any questions you may have.
Pros:
1. Loads very quickly compared with Opera
2. No freezing when scrolling (very annoying on Opera!)
3. The highlighting on this is much better than on Opera. I can actually see if I have selected a link (highlights the link in blue when touched)
4. Renders webpages fine, only thing being is the text is noticeably different. Although it actually makes it easier to read this way.
Cons:
1. No on screen zoom, you have to go through the menu everytime.
2. It will only zoom to 125% which maybe ok on smaller screens but means text is still quite small on the HD
3. Won't turn into landscape, cant even use Gyrator 2 as it doesn't see Netfront in its applications list
So at the moment its not a replacement for Opera but if they solved the cons for this then I would use this over Opera in a hearbeat.
I am going to see if there is a feedback email or something on the Netfront webpage.
it runs and it's quite fast. but I don't like the usability some how so I stick with opera. but it's not bad.
worth to give it a try.
I like it. It's fast, though page redraws are somewhat flickery. Once the page has loaded it's very fast.
I did notice, however, that this beta version is due to expire on the 30th Nov 2008! :-(

One other thing - if you're interested in other browsers on the HD, there's also the webkit-based Iris Browser:
http://www.torchmobile.com/
Again, I prefer Opera, but it's good to try alternatives.
Still waiting for an HD-compatible version of Skyfire!

I think not being able to zoom (or having to go through menu's) would be a deal breaker for me

BOLT the new browser

hie guys did a search and it appeares this new browser http://boltbrowser.com/
hasnt been mentioned yet on our blackstone forum has anyone tried it yet and what are your thoughts to those who have tried it thanks
I really doubt that this browser will be capable of things they advertise. I suspect fake/malware...
EDIT:
I was wrong, its real
anyone tested this?
I dimly remember Skyfire ... it seems to be similar to this one. I think it first appeared spring 2008.
But I never heard about it again and I just don't trust it ^^
http://www.skyfire.com/
I use skyfire. To be able to use it on he beloved HD, you somehow need to decrease resolution. Skyfire is great for flash.
Has anyone tryied "Bolt" ?
Finally, Bolt - the public version of the Thunderhawk browser that is around for a while. Tough sell, a browser that relies on proxy server-side image rendering, similar to Skyfire and Opera Mobile. So how will they make money? Data-mining usage patterns, subscriptions or ads - no one got to work it until now. Good luck, the environment is hostile to your concept...
Guys--Bitstream is a real (and real old) company in Cambrdige, MA. Started out as a typeface company. They are the Thunderhawk people, for whatever that's worth. It looks to me like Bolt is an alpha release masquerading as a beta or version 1 or something, but I'm going to try it because it's from Bitstream.

Windows Mobile phones: Skyfire runs on Microsoft Windows 5, 6, and 6.1. We support VGA and QVGA screen resolutions. Skyfire runs on many popular Windows Mobile phones including the HTC Tilt, HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Fuze, Motorola Q and Q9, Palm Pro, Palm 800W and Samsung Blackjack II. To check if your phone is compatible with our OS and resolution requirements, please refer to the Microsoft website.
Skyfire will not run on Windows Mobile PDAs. Skyfire runs on phones only.
Skyfire will not run on WVGA Windows Mobile phones.
wapreview.com have got 500 referral codes to get a download link for Bolt.
Just got mine.
Downloaded and tried it. Very similar to Opera Mini. Visited youtube.com and clicking on a video just opened a .3gp stream which opened up in Coreplayer. Not really any use on the Touch HD as there was really no way I could see to navigate around due to the lack of hardware buttons.
I too have the same files on "my documents" folder and cannot open, based on BOLT's install instructions it supposed to download the browser and rights stuff but nothing actually downloads to the folder....I too need help

Opera Mobile Keyboard Fix?

Im using opera mobile fine, besides the onscreen keyboard popping up.
Someone made a cab to edit this before, but cand find it..
Do you mean NullKeyboard? I don't have any problems with Opera Mini. I do with the normal Opera.. ..while typing the keyboard disappears and then I can't use the keyboard of the Pro either..
yea nullkeyboard did not work
Same problem here. That's why I use Oper Mini and Skyfire to overcome that problem
Been using Iris, puts Opera to shame (other than flash)

TVcatchup & Skyfire

Just a heads up - signed up to tvcatchup.com (free) and thought i'd try it in the skyfire browser and it works. not perfectly but not bad and well watchable.
more than 40 uk channels
Dude how did u log in with skyfire?... Whenever I try and use iPhone.tvcatchup.com on my Leo, It only shows the username box?.....
Did u use the desktop site, if so, how do u view full screen. Cheers dude.
I used the skyfire mobile browser (version 1.5.XXX) - and could log in to www.tvcatchup.com no problems. (wasn't using iphone.tvcatchup url just the standard site www.etc)
I'd already set up an account for tvcatchup on my pc before i'd tried logging in on my phone, don't know if that helps.
was watching some of the villa game on bbc last night with it!
The only difficulty i had with skyfire was it wasn't recognising me as being in the uk... so iplayer would'nt work....fixed it by deleting the prefs file that's in the install file/folder of skyfire and it now works pretty good.
Ive tried using the iphone site before, it just gives you a stream link but its .m3u8 which our phones cannot play even coreplayer ive searched everywhere for it.
just have to use desktop site on skyfire a bit jutery but watchable

TVCatchUp on HTC HD2 with Skyfire
TVCatchUp on HTC HD2 with Skyfire:
install skyfire whith the RADIO TURNED OFF, if the radio is on, skyfire then defaults the connection to 3g instead of wifi, re-install skyfire when connected to wifi and it will then work, in landscape as well with BSB Tweak, i have now had it working on 3g and wifi, and it actually runs better on 3g/h than it does on my home wifi.

Works for me, although the experience is not quite as polished as the desktop version. Still find myself reaching for the laptop to watch streaming TV atm...
Using WebTV much much better. it has 1000s channels from around the world.

I've just downloaded the myPlayer app which is just what I was looking for. It has all of the live channels if you are within the UK (BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and more). You will need CorePlayer though.

Landscape appears after soft reset of HD2 and is automatically invoked when turned on its side
I have myplayer installed on my hd2 works great but not as big a channel selection as tvcatchup.
But tv catchup now has some sort of bug through skyfire as it keeps saying none uk as the skyfire servers now direct you through us servers.
Can anyone sort this.
Sorry for caps didn't realise until i finished typing. Not going back & writing it all out again.
Cheers nedster

facebook problem opera 9.7 - THIS IS NOT A REPOST!

Hello folks.. this is not another FB related thread...
i can access the full facebook website with my opera 9.7, the thing is that the site doesn't display properly! i am unable to see the wall! i have javascript active, plugins enabled and fixoperaflash 1.5.5.20 working properly with ieactivex.dll registred, but with no success.
I am able to view it properly on Internet explorer though... so it's opera related... don't know whats wrong! youtube works perfectly for instance, and the thing is that it worked before but i was installing some opera builds, and trying to add flash and then it got broken, and i was never able to view it again, no matter what i do.
tried:
-deleting user profile
-reinstalling opera
-installing other version
-view all possible configs
nothing.. suggestions appreciated!
i can see that i am doomed... DAMN!
