Games and stuff for WinMo - Touch HD General

I'm writing for you guys to exchange some ideas on WinMo software.
I dont know why, but I have the impression that there is no real good games or good aplications for windows mobile.
There is a lot of very very pro software been made for symbian or even for iphone, specially on games. But I did not see nothing of that for WinMo.
Specially on games, do you guys know any games with real deep play, with 3d and stuff (like a NFS, a shooting game, a good sports game, etc)??

playing games on the Mini - don't bother?

I've been looking around the web for some comments on playing games on the XDA II Mini, but can't really find anything. Does that mean the Mini sucks as a gaming device (I know that's not what it's for, but it's at least possible)? The button layout sure doesn't look good for playing games.
Has anybody tried playing NES, SNES, SEGA, Playstation/etc games? Is there a good way for controlling these games?
I tried snes emulator, it went ok, although there a slight delay. i guess NES would work flawless.
There are plenty of good native to the windows mobile platform games for the pocket pc and I am sure the majority of them runs easily on mini since there is a 416MHz processor. So you ll better look a bit more and try to find them! I love Monopoly and Age of Empires but also Sky Force and Worms!
I don't actually own a XDA  I'm considering buying one, and the gaming aspect of PDA's appeals to me. I'm sure there are some very fun native Pocket PC games, but playing good console games on an emulator is much fun too If I could play games like Sonic and Mario on the Mini on the go, that would be awesome.
About that (or any) SNES emulator: SNES games usually have at least for buttons for controlling the game. Can these buttons easily be set on the Mini? Or is playing with onscreen buttons a drag?
Thanks for the replies so far, really appreciated!
i play everyday on my Jam instead of my PC!
i'm addicted to Worms and can't stop playing it...
Anyway i tried AOE and it's good too. The only games that i don't like on the Jam are those where u drive since it's quite hard to control your car with the standard keypad
free good basic games, classics
Can i find the WORMS game for free ?? and does it support 2 player mode ?
im searching for good free basic games, not lite the viking saga, or world of empire, just fun easy games that u dont get sick and tired of in 2 min..
anyone ?

XPERIA X1 - Games - Cool Software - Cool Applications

Does any one know of any good games for the X1?
i love my x1 lol but i wish i could do more on it but i cant find any food games really - does any one know like one offical site for all the games or just any really cool stuff?
I found the Astraware games that came installed on it were very good so I have bought Astraware Casino, Bejeweled 2 and Board Games pack.
They are all very polished and work well with the X1 - trial versions available.
I've installed a couple of old wm5 games on my X1 and the results aren't quite satisfiable. since the screen reso is larger, the game is already smaller:
bookworm deluxe, syberia2, and heroes have only filled up 3/4s of the screen vertical wise. And what's more frustrating is that the menu couldn't be seen unless you already know where it was in the first place.
I also tried installing FpseCE to try playing PSX games on my ATI integrated X1 but the result are the very same on an ordinary pda phone. it simply sucks. I mean of course FpseCE is made for CE phones way back world war 2 but let's just hope people develop games for X1 that maximizes it's full potential.
Though the phone is primarily a business phone, but for the heftly price I wish it had almost what we wish on a phone: The music player fails in my opinion, the camera fails too. the speaker for music isn't stereo and the player doesn't come up with an equalizer. I know, I know, it's not a music phone but heck for moment I thought X1 was a Sony Ericsson phone, then it lacks what an SE phone is famous for.

Emulator support

Potential gaming platform
I know it's been said on other forums, i'm not sure if it has been said in this one though. Anyways, with supposed unrestricted use to the services of the phone, i can't wait to see what sort of games we can see on Android. With wifi, 3g, and bluetooth, this can be the ultimate gaming platform and capitalize where wm and apple didn't. Imagine mmo's, multiplayer deathmatches, or something as simple as spades, all online or played on bluetooth. And androids focus on playing in wm territory can mean potential for a huge installer base. The future for Android looks bright indeed.

apps for android are Managed code in java which in most cases is the enemy of speed
and supporting 3d features in cpu and gpu though
Any phone I have had since the Nokia 3300 has become a gaming phone for me. Special kudos to playing Dragon Warrior I & II on the Nokia 6600's gameboy emulator.
(I wish the trackball would be on the left like gaming controllers, which was the first major thing I had to adapt to when going from Wing to G1, but oh well - what can ya do?)
The one thing i would love to see for the android is pocketnesterplus. I'm not sure if there is a way to use it with g1, but hopefully one will come out soon for the nes games. Its extremely hard to play alot of the nes games on most phones but with trackball it would be easier to control the directions. I've heard some of the top game companies are coming on board, all of them better if they're smart!!!
it seems like there was an opengl demo by google a while back where they ran doom I would like to see more 3D games esp if they are written to run off the kernel and display thru the FB device that android creates. As far as I know there is no reason that android apps NEED to be in java.... maybe to be on the market they do... but it's a linux kernel... it should run arm9/11 compiled programs
Does anyone know if there will be development of an emulator for old school consoles like NES and SNES?

Haven't seen any announcements of one(except that there's a really slow gameboy emulator on the marketplace) but I can say with 99.999999% assurance that there will be some.

Essential Apps for HD?

1. I'm dieing for some high-res games like the iPhone is getting. Anybody have any suggestions?
2. CBR/CBZ viewer. INB4 "extract them."
3. Password/form filler for opera mobile 9.5?
Some Good Games Please!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anyone develop or find some games for the Touch HD that have good graphics and are actually a good game. Like that monkey game on the iPhone. That is 1 fun and good looking game.
Everybody always wants monkey ball from the iPhone... Well the truth is games of that calibre are not just easily "developed"... it's a very high quality game that will require a *lot* of time for spare time unpaid developers to create.
The people on this forum invest a lot of time and energy already to even create proof of concepts, they got daytime jobs as well.
If anybody were to make such a game, make it a GOOD game that is, it would be a professional company, like the creators of Monkey Ball... Not many winmo phones got G-sensors and graphics accelerators, so it is not commercially attractive for companies to make games for it, simple.
However, the amount of GPU/G-sensor winmo phones is increasing exponentially so I would not be surprised to see such games appear in the near future.
Oh, and nothing about iPhone games is high res, it's the gameplay and graphics quality itself that is good. The res remains HVGA
I would like to see EA develop Spore for the HD in hi-res. Possibly a full version with the ability to sync with the PC version. But I would settle for a port of the iPhone Spore Origins.

Games like Teeter?

hi does anyone know if there are any games like Teeter?
I enjoy it and just wondering if any similar
Thanks
resco bubbles: http://www.fuzemobility.com/resco-bubbles-gsen-addictive-game/
It's like teeter but you need to pop bubbles in order and the boards are textured so the ball acts differently...really neat
also Marble Worlds which is similar but slightly more of a traditional game: http://www.fuzemobility.com/marble-worlds-2-released-g-sen/
I wonder why the Windows Mobile platform gets so few games. I guess WinMo users have the sense to play games that are meant for gaming.

Well there is that and the fact that winmo has tons of emulators. Wait till marketplace comes out then we will get more accelerometer based games.

I would like to know any emulators that work with the TP2 I'm kinda missing my spring mogul.(NOT REALLY TP2 ROCKS!!!)
While I like games as much as the next guy, I would like to see them incorporate the accelerometers into more APPS as well. This is one thing that the iSore, er...iPhone does well.
