Hi people,
As the title stated, does anyone have any idea? I tried coreplayer in RMVB with no luck.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link. But there's no anything for WM but only Nokia OS.
Try changing the dropdown option from 'mobile phone' to 'pocket PC'.
I have the codec built into my rom but only for low bitrate. Real codec is resource hog and no mobile CPU can play it smoothly.
i was able to play rmvb files on my I900....dunno if it will work on X1 too

How can i play avi and divx on HD? plz some help?
As far as I know you will need good player. I will wait for CorePlayer 2.0
try this
http://www.4shared.com/file/51243023/beaf1cb8/TCPMP-072RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03CAB.html
This worked with my blackstone
I also used CorePlayer from CoreCodec... very good player, but you need to pay a small amount of money to be able to use it legally.
Plays probably anything you care to throw at it, most notably normal divX files, like ~800mb .avi aXXo rips and such.
I used the DIVX player for mobiles downloaded from DIVX.COM for free! Seems to play any Divx and Xvid .AVIs I've tried so far without problems! Give it a try!
http://labs.divx.com/MobileDownload
and since I posted that message, more digging around has pointed me to an updated version of TCPMP that works on WM6.1.
You'll find a link to that thread below...

Hope this helps!

does divx player mobile play flawless standard divx (for example 700mb divx) or did you convert to phone format?
I've read that the Core Player sometime has a choppy playback. Anyone here experience that?
And I'm also curious about jackthekayman's question as to how flawless the Divx player mobile plays videos.

Yes they are. Somehow they have the same source but core is faster while TCPMP supports more formats as like AC3.

CorePlayer is the only player worth using.. I bought it for my Nokia and have now transferred my license to WM6.1 (for free )
No conversion of formats is needed. Even Full movies etc.. Best framerate.
When coreplayer reaches 3.x in the near future it will also have hardware support for HTC phones.
Great program, great developers.
FYI... I haven't used TCPMP yet, but it is possible to convert an AVI file to MP4 which can be played with the HD's built in player. The easiest way to convert is is by using VLC to do it, here's a quick tutorial: http://appleclinic.wordpress.com/2008/04/20/convert-wmv-to-mp4/

Can anyone share the cab installed file of steaming media player?
Thank you very much!

I've tried coreplayer V1.25, but my mobile phone hanged....
diamond? works on mine perfectly with h264 streamsfrom the web. just lags a little and the resolution is different tho.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't help myself. The term you are referring to is called 'stReaming', and not 'steaming', which brings a whole new meaning to the phrase...
lol no wonder it looked awkward, reminds me of the iSteamy app on jailbreak iPhones!

Hi, I am using diamond too, you're using coreplayer to play h.264 streaming video? I used coreplayer to play that, but after I pressed the "play", the mobile will freeze on the screen.

The best player for avi is Coreplayer.
It's not freeware but it works like a charm.
Only reminder is that u don't want the polaris to play to high resolution avi's because it wil not work that good on this device.
Best is to remake a lower resolution avi (320x240) so it wil play perfect.
Or just recode it to a mp4 with the the max resoluiton of 640 x 480 and it wil also play perfect.

any solution to watch movies with subtitles on coreplayer?
I don't know about coreplayer but you can watch subtitles with TCPMP.
you can find everything here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345995&page=2
yep tcpmp became coreplayer - tcpmp was/is free, after gaining popularity they changed the name and made it chargeable, tcpmp still works fine for me.
people have different preferences on the converter (have a look about for one - i haven't done it for a while so can't remember which one i found best!)
but scaling down to 320x240 AND make sure you either choose an option to keep the original frame rate or as close to as possible (right click on the avi on the pc to check the properties - it's often 23.97) otherwise the picture struggles/pauses etc as sound and video no longer match or by choosing a higher frame rate than the original the converter puts in duplicate frames (which has pretty much the same effects)
hope it helps
OK so yet another video question. I'm quite happy with the performance of realplayer on my N95 because it plays all my MP4 videos. When I try and play them on WMP11 they don't play. So I guess they won't play on the touch HD.Is it possible to bypass WMP and download Realplayer for mobiles.
Any thoughts?
Coreplayer should play them fine, try that.
Yep, Coreplayer will do the job. I haven't had any problems with formats.

Hi Guys, i have a noob question.
How do you watch videos from your HD on PC, what player or codec do you use? I can see the image, but MPC reports there is no codec installed for the sound.

Try VLC http://www.videolan.org/
I tried it before, now i tried it again, i get the same message every time for 3gp or mp4:
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "samr". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
Does anyone know how to solve this? Where can i Find that codec? I googled it with no results.

As I said, I'm trying to play mp4 or 3gp that I made with my phone on my PC. Thank you guys for your advices. This evening, for the first time since I got my HD, i heard the sound. I'm usimg MPC Home Cinema and Windows 7 x64. I don't know what happened, yesterday nothing worked, and today all is fine !!?? Strange, I didn't install anything except VLC.
I was going to suggest VLC it will play just about anything. My guess would be it has installed the required codecs.
BGF
I think VLC is using it's own codecs, i just tried the demo 3gp from my phone and there is no sound. In MPC Home Cinema x64 everything works fine, i guess it's this latest version (1.3.1249.0)
i've tried vlc, quicktime alternative, mpc, mpc-hc, but still, i always get the same error: ".samr files cannot be opened" or sthng like that.
there's got to be a way...
im using win 7 x32.
Has anyone found a solution for this problem? I am also trying to play videos (that I recorded with the touch HD in mpeg4 format) on my PC, but no player can play the sound. VLC gives me the error that it cannot play samr audio. I also have the full k-lite codec pack installed, but still no sound.
How do you guys play Touch HD videos on your computer?
you most probably know this...
... but here is a reminder...
i view my hd video's on pc.....
by going to video settings on hd......advanced ..capture format and set it to H.263 instead of mpeg4...
i then view it with quicktime..etc..on my pc..!!
...why persist with mpeg 4..?
above method still gets you there ....to view on pc..
(maybe picture quality not fantastic ...but still good to view..)
good luck

Thanks. You're right, I'll stick with H.263 and play the 3gp video in Quicktime.
