Hi Guys. Sorry to post a new thread for this, but I didn't know where else to look for answers as I have already searched everywhere with no luck. I have an unlocked AT&T Tilt on the Cincinnati Bell (in Cincinnati, Ohio) network. No matter what I try, I cannot seem to get the internet working correctly on this phone. Cincinnati Bell does not carry the Tilt, so they will not help me. I have searched these forums and found Cincinnati Bell's web proxy settings and tried plugging the information in, but have not had luck. What is strange is that when I click Internet Explorer, it actually shows that it connects, but no web pages will open. If I touch the E at the top of the screen, it shows a web session open with a timer counting how long I have been connected, but still no web page access. If anybody has any suggestions, I would sure appreciate it. It seems like it would be something simple as I can see the connection timer, but I am lost as to what else to try.
* I have also already posted this question in the Kaiser forum in hopes of getting an answer. I realize that double posting is frowned upon, but I am so frustrated with this that I am willing to try anything to find the answer. Thanks in advance to anyone that may be able to help.
I found these settings over at MoDaCo

This has most probably been asked before, ive tried searching under settings and T-Mobile but to no avail. I am after the network settings so i and can configure my magician. I have managed to set up gprs for internet surfing but mms doesnt work, so if anyone can point me to where these settings are, much appreciated.
Being a smartphone convert, i am quite impressed with this device although i had to search online to find out it never actually turns off.
This is a pretty cool forum, much better than www.modaco.com for these devises.
Keep it up

Have you tried installing the CAB files from the T-Mobile extended ROM?
I assume you are using the latest ROM update from UK T-Mobile?
You can try the following MMS file and see if it helps
ftp://xda:[email protected]Mar05.cab
Thanks for taking time to read this Have found this forum extremely helpful in the past - have not needed to post as your developers are brilliant and informative! Now, I am stumped!
After searching endlessly here, I have not found a solid answer to successfully tethering my titan via USB on a Vista machine.
By using the Wmodem - I get error 1010, simply stating I am unable to tether. I have found the registry fix for this on this site, however the user/pwd is for the Verizon network. Anyone have the Telus user/pwd? I can only assume the user is my phone number...
Now, let's assume I do get this password - by using the Wmodem, can the Telus network detect I am using it as a phone modem? I think that is referred to as PaM? Phone as Modem? Dunno...which brings me to my next topic...
Internet Sharing - I have seen a few posts with respect to this as apparently this will allow me to tether undetected (within reason). Unfortunately, my device seems to have this option locked up as well. I do not have anything listed in 'Programs' for 'Internet Sharing'. According to my help files, I can find it under Start --> Accessories...I don't have 'accessories' listed. Any idea where I can find this?
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Hey
I know there are threads related to this issue where an Hero refuses to connect to a network (the bars has a x over the top) however i've discovered something strange with my hero.
With the correct data/apn settings the phone is connecting to the network and will allow me to browse the internet, post tweets etc etc, it actually allows me to do anything thats not phone related. I cannot make calls or sent text messages.
This phone was unlocked and working ok until one day it just stopped working with my network.
The hero is unlocked - I have tested it with Tmobile and Three and they both work. Any kind of o2 sim refuses to work....
Am i being a complete n00b and missing something here....?
Any help appreciated - I;ve spent weeks on this issue and almost ready to give up
Damon
Anyone having a similar issue to the above, I've found something that appears to help fix this.
Get AnyCut from the market place, create a shortcut to Phone info.
Launch phone info, turn off radio.
Now im not exactly sure why this works but change 'set preferred network type' to WCDMA Only and then renable the radio after a few moments, the singal returns.
Weird and very annoying.
Damonsk,
Can you point me to a solution for the other problem where the hero refuses to connect to a network (the bars has a x over the top). I have searched every term I can think of with no luck yet. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
Hey all, I'm currently using an Oppo Find 5. I bought it while in the United States for a few months. I've just returned home to Canada now, and I seem to be unable to receive any data on the Wind network. I was able to get on the network itself, make and receive calls/texts but I don't seem to have any data activity. Does anyone have any idea on what I could do to resolve this? I went in to Settings and enabled 3G and Data, but that didn't seem to do anything.
Any advice would be very welcome!
Thank you so much from a long time lurker first time poster.
You need to find your apn settings for the carrier and place them on the phone.
Sent from my Oppo Find 5
Thank you! I went to the wind store and even asked if I'd need to change the APN settings, and they said no. After seeing this post, I found an explanation on what the settings are from Wind.
I really appreciate this, thank you so much!
Hi,
Please excuse my naivety, am relatively new.
I just got my Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and am having a problem with accessing my wifi at work. I find the wifi network and can connect with no problems, except it should come up with an icon asking me to verify myself. I then would add my email address and away I go.
Except, since having this new phone, I can't seem to get access to the verify page. I thought I would be able to access a web page (using Chrome, built in browser AND Dolphin) and forcing the page to come up, but nothing.
Am I missing something at all?
My old phone and my tablet both work as expected. I also tested someone elses phone today, next to my own, and that worked exactly as expected.
Please help!!
Anyone?? Any ideas?
Am at my wits end. Doesn't help that my normal internet signal is a crappy ole E!
