Yes, try the new cooked ROMs.... phone will vibrate when it connects.
Try dsixda rom..
It has the vibrate you need..instead it is the best rom for touch in my opinion.

The volume on my BA seems very low, although its turned up all the way. When I make/receive phone calls, I have to put it on speaker just to hear anything, and speaker is still pretty low for being on speaker. Also when the phone rings, its very low. Any ideas on how to fix??
Let me guess...maybe a "SRS_WOWHD" is in your rom. Check it...if so, close it!
Another way to solve is to upgrade your BA to a rom with no SRS_WOWHD integrated.
Good luck.(sorry for my poor English)

Go to Settings-->System tab and look for it there
SRS WOW HD doesn't boost the volume much :/ but with headphones you can make them sound better than subwoofer ;]
nope..don't have that in my system tab...i guess xplode's 199 rom doesn't include SRS WOW HD...but the sound is somehow so small that sometimes i miss the call...
Try this ROM, it has sound volume OK:

Can anybody confirm that after HSPL the frustrating problem with very loud incall speaker and popping/crackling noise is gone?
thanks,
G
What ROM are you on? I've found this problem to be a 1.43 issue. Other ROMs seem to be set at a much more acceptable volume. The speaker still crackles a bit, but it's a vast improvement over the stock 1.43 sound quality.
the 1.61 rom and Radio, which i think is the most important thing reduced the crackling on calls. You can Hardspl up to that version.
HardSPL won't touch anything of these things.
The SPL is only a bootloader.
I've flashed custom roms even before HSPL was out but...
I was hopping that flashing with HSLP would help!

Flash the 1.61 radio using HSPL. Seems to have fixed the issue for me:

What Radio do you have on your phone? I dont have any crackling problems on loud speaker and I have 2.06.51.07. If you look at my flashing for noobs thread in the rom development section it tells you how to change radios using HardSPL. The Radio does handle the sound so maybe thats your answer.

Stupid question but have you tried turning your volume all the way down to minimum while on loudspeaker as you may have it turned up too loud causing problems.
When im on loudspeaker I only have it on the lowest setting shich is still very clear and loud enough with no crackle.
Just a suggestion..

It's not a stupid question, but trust me the volume it's all the way down at all times. It's not only on the "loud speaker mode" we have this problem but with the earpiece one too.
The only way to have a private and decent conversation when I place the call is to try to play with the volume before the other party pick up: when the call is in progress i turn the volume all the way up and then back all the way down fast. It's the only way that kindda works for me. Incoming calls... tough luck, let's hope the other party has their volume all the way down otherwise they come through extremely loud and the speaker pops.
I've flashed 3 radios since yesterday and it seems that 2.05.50.11 is the best for me so far. will confirm after more testing.
thanks for trying to help!

If you are having no luck at all I would contact wherever you got the phone from as it sounds like you have a faulty device. If you have tried different radios, different roms and different settings then it looks like its hardware based and not software/firmware.

I thought of doing that but it would be no use as some have already done that and the new unit they got had the same issue. It's not an isolated case as you have probably seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=588925&page=18

Hi, welcome to the forums
Maybe is that you are pressing too much your phone to your face / ear while you are talking.
Is there any way to avoid this ? with some program or similar
phonEx
You can try PhonEx. i think it got back screen off option while your phone is connected. So you can avoid call ended button pressing problem.

Hi All.
Question maybe is pretty stupid but I have problem with this. I can't find any solution to turn off blink of flash light (from camera) durning incomming call ? Any help ?
Do you mean like when you recieve a call? If so that can be turned off in the accessibility settings under hearing, it should be the first option.
