Has anyone managed to get Nicetrack working yet?
Thanks
Incidentally, the part of Nicetrack that doesn't work is the connection to the comm port. GetCellID works fine. I'm sure that splicing the source codes is easy enough, but building a binary... :S

There is not one that works yet. Vjay of the forun is working on one VJCandela but not working on the wizard yet. He needs a wizard to enable him to sort this out - so if you could loan him your spv3000 we all could be happy lol
check it out here

Working on the atom right now. Then I guess I'll have to really steal a Wizard some time!

I have a 9100 that I'm not using because the speaker stopped working. Maybe we can work something out. I'm in the US though.
Yeah this would be sweet!
Hi guys,
This has been something I've been trying for a long time (since I first got my Wizard nad now my hermes), but to no avail.
I've got TomTom 5 and the 3dtracking software from http://www.3dtracking.net/home.aspx, both of which work very well on their own.
However, trying to get them to work together is a nightmare.
I've tried franson GPS gate in the past, but found it very tempremental and I'm loathed to fork out 15 quid to do something that my device should handle anyway.
I've enabled the GPS control panel, no problem whatsoever, chosen the appropriate hardware and software ports in the GPS control panel, set up an outgoing port in the bluetooth settings, told the PPC to manage my connections automatically, told TomTom to use another bluetooth GPS on the appropriate software port and told 3dtracking what software port to use and bob's yer uncle... nothing happens! (Good grief, that's a hellishly constructed sentence! Sorry!)
Anyway, has anyone successfully got this to work?
I've tried a number of combinations of ports etc., and also follwed about the only guide I could find on the net, but nothing seems to work.
Your help would be appreciated!
Adrian
Any thoughts guys?
What version of GpsGate have you tried ?
The product has developed very nicely; I am using GpsGate with 3 applications using the GPS signal at the same time without problems at all.
Martin
Hi Martin,
Thanks for that. I've not used version 3 to be honest, it's something I might give a try in the end.
I'm by no means averse to paying for a piece of software, but it wrankles me somwhat when the device is supposed to do something on its own.
Is there an inherant problem with the control panel function, or something that can be fixed do we think?
Thanks,
Adrian
Hi!
I got the same problem over here.
Trying to use Navigon MobileNavigator 5 and POIObserver via the built in GPS-panel. BT-GPS is a NaviLock BT-338
Thanks

Has anyone managed to get WiFiFoFum to work (without breaking TomTom)?
I can get the WiFi bit of it to work, but not the GPS.
Is it possible to access GPS over bluetooth from a PC? How?

Yes, I run the latest WiFiFoFum on my Athena without a problem. It even picks up the coordinates from the GPS after I setup the Comm port.
Haven't tried it. You would have to setup your Athena to accept BlueTooth connections, then you may have to configure a serial port for your laptop to connect to. Give it a try and let us know how it works.
EDIT: How was TomTom "broken" by the way?
After I installed Wififofum Tomtom seemed unable to get a GPS fix until I removed it. What com port numbers did you use?
How do I link that Bluetooth com ports to the GPS com ports?
I have to run out for the moment but try this.
After you run WiFiFoFum, make sure it's really closed down before you try TomTom. Reinstall it, run it, then to make sure it's off go to Start, Settings, System, Memory and make sure it's not running under the Running Programs tab. WiFiFoFum may be locking down the Comm port denying access to TomTom. Also, make sure you're running WiFiFoFum2...the latest version.
As for setting the comm port, you'll have to research this. I've done it before but don't remember how and have never tried on my Athena. You may want to check the manual or google for the solution. Sorry I wasn't much help in this area.
Hi,
this has been discussed before and in different places, but nobody came up with a valid solution:
Is there a quick GPS program that works for Trinity? Is there one in the new p3600i that works with P3600? What about the Kaiser one, did anyone get it to work properly on the Trinity, if yes, does it actually work? There's the Qgps, apparently from HP wich has the same qualcomm chip - it doesn't seem to work.
So, the objective of this post is to summarize anything that works. Please do not post anything about other GPS quick fix from other vendors or Sirf fixes, we already know they don't work.
thanks!
Nope.
there is a gps sat location updater piece of software but it doesn't seem to do anything on Trinity in UK.

which one is it?
thanks!
P.S. QGPS appears to help a little bit, but it's difficult to tell
This may be a solution, but it requires a data connection

Yet another placebo - as the final remark in the thread underlines....
Anyone managed to get it working on HD2?
Installed both software and certificates. Already tested all COM ports, on some received error, on other it says "TMC DRIVER ACTIVE".
"Sound output" is set to Headset, and "Mute radio" is set to "tuned sound" which should give radio sound in my headset and TMC data on screen.
But no matter which COM port i choose, there's i can hear just nothing. Not even a noise.
I assume there's possible incompatibility between software and HD2.
Any ideas?
Different drivers to deal with.
I suppose a new version will be out soon that will work on our HD2.
Is there already something in progress right now?
I don't think so. Just look at the HyperGPS thread, there has been no update for a long time. Probably nobody is working on it anymore.
Or does someone have different info from the developers?

With no breaktrough in GFMAPI, it will not help to look at HyperGPS yet.
Flywhc and some others are still working on the TP2/HD2 (both have the same FM-radio). So far, they have not yet been succesfull.
