Hello!
I removes the Opera I had on my original ROM and replaced it with the last beta version.. The only problem is that the accelerometer is not used anymore in order to set the position "landscape" of the screen when moving the Diamond in landscape mode..
Somebody knows how to recover this fonctionality?

first of all you cannot delete files from the rom, nevertheless, concerning your problem you should reconfigure your g-sensor software, probably after reinstall window title changed or something like that.
if you're not sure if you have such a configurator in your system, get Flip IT by swtos.
Thanks ucxoq! Working now

I know this has came up before but i am not sure if this is solved.
I download the gyrator and everything is fine. However whenever I lock the phone I can rotate the TF3D screen. Once it is in landscape mode, half of the screen is mess up. Is there any instruction to disable rotation when the phone is locked?
thanks for advice in advance.
Same here , I couldnt find out HOW
I'm not sure even where to begin (please use search as this has been solved like 5 times over; not that it was really a problem to begin with, just an issue). But to save you time this once (SEARCH) here's a couple options.
If you want to keep using Gyrator: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448141 (that itself has two different solutions, one applied to probably what you have done and have auto-rotate everything and then exclude certain things and the other is rotate only things which you want rotated (probably better, definitally safer and less buggy)).
Furthermore you can change from Gyrator to Gsen or ChangeScreen(probably better as it's dumbed down and made really simple but still very effective) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=468488&highlight=rotate
Lastly (not really, I just don't feel like typing more) you can change your ROM to Dutty's as it runs on the new manila v3 which allows for landscape rotation (Dutty's is not the only ROM that has it, so once again, you have choices here as well).

Hope it helps
thanks for the info

You need to set Gyrator so it doesn't rotate in the lock screen, manilla should already be disabled but when the phone is locked manilla is not the foremost app anymore. To do this add a new event above Rotate, Edit the event and call it something like Disable (Lock), set the Application to Dialog, set orentation to portrait, set Actions to Rotate screen. Click apply then Click and hold the new event and set it as Orientation and click apply again. This will also stop your email from auto rotating in message view, but if you go to landscape in the list view you can still work in landscape for email and SMS.

I already did so, thank you. But I really wanted to get manilla working in landscape mode with the standard ROM. I saw it working fine with other cooked ROMs but not with mine. The only way to solve this is to flash with a newer ROM ? Or there is a cab to solve this issue ?
New rom
Hi there, I believe your problem stems from the fact that your version of manila does not support landscape viewing. Having tried a few things with varying success, I flashed to Duttys 2.1 rom and am glad to have done so. It's a far superior experience with hugely improved notifications, faster response times, more storage space free on the HD itself and it also rotates manila without glitching the backgrounds.
I recommend you try it
Actually the dealer told me that I would lose the warranty if I flash the device with non official ROM. Also my ROM is not found on the internet ( 1.14.488.3 WWE )
no current stock rom runs on manila v3 and therefore no stock rom supports landscape. In order to avoid voiding warranty, you can flash the rom using USPL (keeps original SPL) and then before sanding your phone in for w/e reason you simply flash back to original rom (by either backing yours up or chances are it's already posted in the wiki ROM section as they have most of them). If you were to send in the phone with a none stock rom, they may or may not refuse to fix it because technically you have voided the warranty (but if you flash it back to original rom using USPL, then they have no idea)
i was wondering anyone could help me. when i first got my htc HD, the messaging keyboard rotate automatic. somehow when i reinstall the original-rom due for some reason, the auto rotate was gone. anyone could help me get back the original setting?
Did you buy the phone new? As far as I know, the official HTC ROM never had screen rotation in it for the keyboard.
There are loads of different programmes you can install to allow you to rotate the keyboard:
Gyrator
Flipit
to name but two...
no rotation for stock !
weird or maybe my memory was too bad. anyway i have found a screen rotating soft which was quite good compare to the rest i have tried.
changescreen_inst.
its somewhere on the forum. deleted the icon using explorer from startmenu because this software enable auto startup. now it looks so original.
how ever found it slightly lag on TF3D.
Hey guys !
I really hope there is a simple answer to this strange phenomenon!
Just bought an HTC HD2 ROM 1.48.707 (WWE) unlocked & it simply does not rotate clockwise in the rotate-enabled applications no matter what I ve tried.
HOWEVER it does rotate counter-clockwise.
If someone knows anything about it or of an app that checks the g-sensor or be able to adjust its sensitivity, please help me out here!
NOTE: When I calibrate the G-sensor everything seems to work fine & testing by playing the teeter game is OK.
Thanks for answering
From what I can tell, the HD2 doesnt rotate clockwise natively. I'm sure theres a registry tweak or an installable hack for it, but as a right-handed fellow rotating counter-clockwise is all I need so I haven't looked into it.
edit: found some info in another topic:
or
"you could try using gyrator"
I have no idea how these 2 solutions are - again I haven't tested them
Did try with BSB Tweaks & it did what it was supposed to do, that is enable/disable rotation for any application. HOWEVER, clockwise rotation is still a NO-GO & the program does not include a sensitivity tweak....
I will try gyrator...
You should try Gyrator 2. It works .
ChangeScreen v2.78 & Gyrator 2 seem to solve the problem. This should help left-handed people too.. Thanx
Has anyone figured out how to get this working without Gyrator / ChangeScreen?
I can say with complete certainty that rotating to both left and right used to work with my Rhodium.
Same ROM (NRG) and same G-Config List.
I'm also interested in this solution as my car holder presses accidentally the volume key. counter-clockwise this problem would be minimized or removed comletely!

Me too!
stranger still, I used to be able to rotate in both directions without Gerator or anything. Just now suddenly it fails clockwise...
Hi all,
I am using for the moment G10 Rom, wich is very good for me (at least for now, )... anyway, I used to use the Xanny's ROM's wich has rotation enabled and after installing Max Manilla and enabling rotation from MaxManilla's settings screen, rotation actually worked in almost all menus and applications (I actualy needed to erase a reg key to stop in call screen from rotating because it had a small bug)... Anyway, Now i use G10 Rom and max manilla ofcourse, but I can not rotate my screen using the G sensor, can anyone tell me what do i need to do to make it work ?
Thank you very much and please excuse my poor English language...
Well.... anyone ?
Have you tried Changescreen, gyrator, Flipit etc......try searching for these in apps/software forum
Hi,
I recently purchased MN7 v7.3.10 from 1800pocketpc.com. It will not run in landscape mode. If I do the bsb tweak for screen rotation it will rotate the program but it cuts the bottom half of the screen off and leaves a big black area to the right of the program screen. Is there any way to fix this to run in landscape mode? A reg edit or change the ini file or something? I looked at the forums but didn't see the answer to my questions. I looked at the thread about the HD1 and navigon but didn't see a definative fix...... any help would be GREATLY appreciated. This is beyond frustrating me. I'm going on a long road trip over easter and would LOVE to have this fixed.
Thanks
bump for some help? I guess no one has this running in landscape on an HD2??
have you tried the HD fix?

Thats what I have in my file and it doesnt work. What I also did was to use B2B to add the start menu to rotated progs then make sure I was in landscape before starting Navigon, then it displays in landscape.
you need to be in landscape BEFORE you start Navigon!
I ran the latest PDA trial for a month and it was quite nice - as I did not want to enable manila rotation I set the win startmenu to rotate (bsb)
went to start -> rotaded to landscape -> started Navigon -> perfect (until someone calls)
start Navigon MN7 - just go to "options - settings - general" last page. turn screen left / right, portrait etc.

Yes, thats what I had in mind as well. And I used it this way with my "old" Samsung Omnia 2 (i8000) with MN7 v7.3.4 (not absolutely sure about the version). Unfortunately this option seems not to be there in my current version of MN7 (7.3.9) that came with my T-Mobile germany rom.
I guess thats either because Navigon removed that option in 7.3.9 (but why should they?) or because it is just not supported on the HD2 (like the navigating to adresses from the adress-book).
Ciao,
