Has anyone got a clean WM6 v3.7 ROM
a) Without the extended Rom - I see that it is available (Have even managed to remove mine using Total Commander)
b) without the additional softwares - like acrobat, clearvue, Asian Network wizard !!, onenote, Audio Manager (Wmplayer is fine), Windows Live (Why Why??) etc - waste of space as I do not use them or need them.
I need this as I need the additional space for my company software and with all these additional apps - I just done seem to have enough space left and my Orbit crawls and screams...
Please can someone clean the Dopod Rom and remove the extra apps and place it online?
Any help - please will be reaaaaaallllyy greatfull?

Not as yet - have downloaded it just now. Will try it out tonight and get back to you.
I have spent the last 3 weeks - since I purchased my HTC Touch HD - on getting Telstra to give us the right to use a stock ROM. It seems they may at last be starting to listen to their customers.
In the meantime I have been using my old and trusted SPB Mobile Shell; Weather; Wallet; GPRS Monitor; Keyboard; Time and Backup. Took a long time to set it all up again and get rid of the Telstra stuff.
Although some of it was useful and I do like the look of the TOUCHflo 3D - I just didn't want all the Telstra Overkill - seeing as I purchsed the HTC outright.
What a surprise to now see Telstra come to the party. LOL
Cheers
i've tried it can't say i notice anything really different....might just have the fixes built in...same old keyboard etc
I tried it and found the following differences
1) HTC Weather tab (only major cities so sort of sucks but the animations are cool)
2) a few different internet connections defined including 'telstra enterprise'
3) couldn't set up my over the air activesync to my corporate email. Kept on telling me the modem settings wouldn't let me connect. After a number of fustrating phone calls to HTC and Telstra I worked it out myself. When you go into the options for the email account after setting it up there used to be an advanced button where you could set which internet connection to use, this is no longer there. Instead where you define which options to sync (email, contacts, calendar and tasks) there is an options tab, under this is a connection tab which has 'dedicated' by default. Changing this to internet fixed the problem.
3) new Telstra email service seems to be on this rom, for $7 you get 1000 emails from telstra mail, hotmail etc. However attachments are only free if you use Telstra or bigpond mail.
It seems a little bit faster, although not that much.
Internet seems to be quicker as well.
I gained an extra bar of signal strength.

Can you upload this rom for sharing? Thanks!
can't download
Can you tell me why I can't download this rom?
When i type my device S/N HT92RKD01786,
system answer is "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device."
When i open htc site for my country (Poland), there is no rom update in this year. Can I install this rom , if someone upload it?
Tried it - very disappointed
I tried it out last night and was very disappointed - yet once again.
The Weather Tab is now available but I still could not find the Customize Tabs location or application. Nothing else changed much on mine. I live in the "Next G" network area - so going from 1 bar to 2 bars did'nt exite me too much.
Telstra - shame on you for degrading such a perfect piece of equipment.
Ohh well - back to SPB - seems that one does work well and allows me to change whatever I like. Maybe not as good looking as the Touchflo app but at least I can customize and I don't have TELSTRA in my face the whole day.
Fuxik - I believe this upgrade is only available to the HTC 8285 "Telstra" branded model. Believe me, you probably don't want this one if you already have a working "Stock HTC ROM" installed.
Again guys - very disappointed in Telstra. Why aren't we allowed to have a stock ROM ?? Does Telstra think we are all "dummies" and can't find our way around a mobile?? Or are they afraid if we don't see them we may not use them (haha)...
ROM is in the base directory of the FTP site, couldnt seem to put it anywhere else
Battery life seems to be a bit less with this ROM
Can't change the home screen on touchflo, can assign a different picture but it doesn't pick it up
Seems to turn itself on every now and then for no particular reason
Drop downs in SPB Mobile and Phone seem to have stopped working
Opera browser paints itself about 1 cm to big sometimes and you can see the top of the bottom buttons but cant hit them.
Same here Nossac
I've also found a few issues with this new Telstra release.
Battery life is definately shorter now.
I was never able to change the picture on the "Telstra" home screen from day one. Last version had same issue.
Still cannot find the so-called "Customisation Button".
I ended up not istalling SPB Phone as it kept conflicting with the Telstra settings. But not having any issue with SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 (as yet)
I'm in the Next G zone and am now having an issue with the Internet Connection. My phone now seems to want to connect to HSDPA instead of 3G - It takes longer to download anything because of this. Telstra won't let us change the Connection Settings. They are pre-set.
What a joke.
Will be calling Telstra today to see what to do next.
Still NOT happy Jan!! LOL
Not being able to alter the background annoyued me so much I ended up putting Mobile Shell back on
I have SPB Mobile, Phone and Time all running nicely.
If only they would release better Mobile Shell widgets...
My phone has always gone to H when doing data then kicks back into 3G after is has finished. For some reason I thought that is what it was meant to do??
Even my mega battery is down to 40% at night now (new ROM + Mobile Shell) is a bit of a killer, it used to only get down to 60%
I'm not sure whether this is the correct place to be bringing this up but I have a bunch of MDA Compact V's going out with the latest T-Mobile ROM on it which is home to Windows Mobile 6.5.
Personally, I think for our end users who are mostly Sales Reps not used to owning a phone let alone a multi-functional device such as these will like the jumbled mess known as Microsoft's HoneyComb-based Start Menu.
So, using the test devices I have, I've managed to find the registry tweaks to install the apps that they would be using on a daily basis to the HTC Programs Tab. I've also managed to figure out how to create the order and visbility of tabs that we'll want there by default.
Can we hide the customise tabs option under the settings tab?
I have know I can hide the settings tab though I figured it would be better to just prevent changes to the customise tab option so that we have consistency across 100+ devices.
Can we re-enable the start menu button to activate the HTC Programs page?
Tried to setting the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu\EnableManilaStartMenu to 1 but that made no difference and tried setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\EnableStartMenu to 1 too. Neither one nor together make a difference. Microsoft's start menu keep appearing.
Tried to do loads of research on this but not found what I was looking for. Hopefully, someone here can help??
Hi,
today i've found a new official ROM v.1.72.207.0 provided by O2 Germany, it's brandnew!!
Peace, Andi
Link: http://www.o2online.de/nw/support/downloads/software/xda/htchd2/htc-hd-2.html
Changelog:
Digital image enhancement: removing the "Red Shadow" for Photos
Improving the SMS functions
Correct display of SIM contacts, in addition to the telephone calls, and Exchange Server contacts
Determine the correct amount of free space on a memory card and an improvement of support for certain memory sizes
Extended functionality of the Calendar application
Eh,with the amount of bugs and freezes this phone has, this rom update seems quite lacking.
so is this coming out in an english rom? and would it even be worth upgrading as it doesnt seem to do a lot...??
Would expect anything more from O2? For all the time i have had my o2 Orbit the ROM updates for that device were pathetic at best.
I'm afraid I found the first bug in this new ROM
After flashing the device my Java app (DB RailNavigator) is unable to go online. Of course I tried several things like restoring the orginal files from backup or re-installing the app from the web.
Ant the network and security setting of the java vm are also ok.
When I tap some online-function within the app it even does not come the point where the java runtime asks for permission to enable online access.
it simply locks up.
Has anyone else here tried to use online-aware java app with this new ROM from O2?
For me this rom really fixed problems.
For example the appointment bug is solved and the pink flicker or dot in the camera seems to be solved too. the cam now really takes decent pics.
I will stay with this rom as it just fulfils my needs - i only need that damn ereader tab get to work...

I hope it is!
Today I installed JavaFX Mobile 1.2 from the SUN website. Now DB RailNavigator works again online and NEW! can access GPS via location API.
So to me it strongly seems that with the new O2 ROM something changed to the standard Java VM.
BTW: HTC support told me to ask for a new version of DB RailNavigator, but
how could DB know what is the problem???
Hi,
I have recently replaced the (German) HTC Stock ROM with the current (German) T-Mobile Stock ROM downloadable from HTC's server the reason for this being that it provides about 100 megs more space for programmes and that I have the feeling that the Internet connection is somewhat better, e.g. when I'm listening to Internet radio.
Even, if I managed (with the help of xda developers) to repair or at least circumvent the most stupid restrictions the T-Mobile guys have put on the user, there have remained some boring things I would like to get rid of:
1. When I disable Manila a stupid warning message pops up.
2. I would like to have back the original Internet icon from HTC in lieu of the ugly (w'n'w) T-Mobile thing on top of the Internet tab.
3. I would like to get rid of the T-Mobile splash screen when launching Opera.
4. The light blue colour e.g. in the mail account settings does not necessarily contribute to better legibility - I would like to have back the original dark blue colour from HTC.
Any suggestions?
