How can I show AM and PM on clock?

As the title states: How can I show the AM or PM indicator on the clock? I tried editing the registry, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Yes, I already tried editing the registry using PHM Registry Editor. That did not work.
I went to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides then I change the registry to "h:mm tt" as I said did not worked.
Ohhhh, I forgot to mention I am showing both date and time at the same time in the upper right hand corner of the screen and not just the time alone.

Have you considered WisBar Advanced 2? It handles the clock issue very well and it does a LOT of other useful things, as well.

I read that Wisbar causes slow downs on the Universal, is this true?

You can just go to settings -> System -> Regional Settings -> Time instead of setting in registry.
However the AM/PM doesn't show up in the title bar. It will only show up in other applications or when you tap the time.
Never noticed, but I tried it on mine. (I use the 24 hour clock anyway) The am/pm doesn't come up.
How did you get the date in there?

Wisbar has become faster and faster with every new beta. A new full version (2.5) should be released in a week or so. Version 2.4.20 (beta) has treated me very well in the speed department.

I used SPB Pocket Tips and Tricks. I am pretty sure you can also do it via the registry, but using SPB is a lot faster.

Thanks for this tip. I might wait for the full version to be released though. Right now, I have the perfect settings and programs installed, that I don't want to mess things up nor slow things down. My EXEC runs fast with my current settings.

Did you try this registry tweak:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides]
Create String: S1159 Value = Am
Create String: S2359 Value = Pm
Create String: STFmt Value = h:mm tM

Menu Font Size changeable?

Hi - just have my HD for one day now and already get SOOOOO annoyed by the ridiculously large MENUE FONTS... you even have to scroll vertically sometimes to see all entries - WHY do fonts have to be 24pt on a mobile device? Perhaps this is only with the GERman ROM...?
Does some kind soul know if the HD's registry has entries for downsizinbg the fonts?

Yes you can with Advanced_Configuration_Tool_v3.3.

You can use Schap's Advanced Configuration Tools (Search) or you can go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\gwe\menu\popfnt
and change the value for the "Ht" entry to "1000" decimal (from 1200).
Works for me anyway...

If I'm not mistaken, this value is usually set to 800.
Anyway,play around with 800, 900, and 1000 and see which suits your personal preference. It may depend on the size of your fingers and application. Only some applications's menu are long enough to require scrolling which I too found annoying.

THX to all - problem solved!

I changed them from 1200 to 900 but it seems nothing has changed (also after a softreset). Could you exactly explain which fonts should be affected by this modification?

what I did
...don't know who is meant by 'you exactly', but what I did was change this popfnt's Ht=800 and Wt=500, softreset ... and BEAUTIFUL small and thin menu fonts! Now..if someone could point me to an entry where I could read a bit more about all these GWE settings ?!? THX

[REQ][APP] STYLUS suspend and wake

Hello all,
As i have been enjoying all the great appz from so many great developpers, i kind a miss an app for my TP which puts device in suspend when stylus goes in and lets it wake up when stylus is released from its hole.
If any kind soul could find time to develop such an app, this would be great.
if not possible plz let me know..
Lastly a big thanks to all great contributors on our forum.

Not directly, but indirectly, yes.
With StylusLock you can overrule the default settings, as described here.
One setting which will suit your needs:
stylusAlwaysControl = 1
This means the locking is dependent of the Stylus status.
In combination with the already default setting suspendOnBacklightOff = 1, you can get what you want. You just must configure the backlightoff period very short via the Windows Mobile settings: start -> settings -> system -> energy -> advanced.
You can also try TouchLockPro, although that has not the StylusAlwaysControl setting, but gives you more unlock features and also the backlight off feature.

Scroll in lines instead of pages in P.Iexplorer

In pocket internet explorer, when you scroll with the 4 way pad, you go 1 page up or down.
When reading a forum or news item this is very annoying. Is there a way to change the page jump to (1 or 2)lines jump?

My sentiments exactly

Some site i visit are not fully compatible with opera mobile.
but second time.
the topic is not why i'm using this app. but how to scroll line by line.

Opera 10 Beta

I have just downloaded and started to use Opera 10 Beta. Gotta say that it is a fantastic browser, definitely a step forward from 9.7. There is practically no 'checker board' when browsing pages and it is super smooth, seems to use less memory too so i would recommend it to anyone.
One problem though is that the zoom bar doesn't work on the D2. Not suprised to be honest but does anyone know of a simple fix? I know there was a fix for 9.7 on the LEO ROM's so maybe someone knows if that will work for 10.

Also the browser doesn't rotate anymore when the phone is put in landscape? But agree with #1, looks like an improvement!

Didn't like
I didn't like the beta and uninstalled it because the rotate and zoom didn't work. I have the HTC Pure. But now when I click on the internet button which used to pull up opera, it pulls up internet explorer. How can I switch that back to opera. I can still get to the old opera but through the start menu, so I know it is still on the phone. Is there a customizer to do that?

Which ROM are you using? I'm on Duttys R0 HG Sense 2.1. Would like to get to the bottom of this as it is only accessing certain forums that is causing freezes on my phone.

First Create the following registry keys
- Open [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\SmartTouch\Opera]
- Set String "ClassName"="Opera_MainWndClass"
- Set Dword "Mode"="4"
- Set Dword "WheelCount"="10"
Second Edit the "input.ini" (located in \windows\opera10)
- Change "Right = Zoom in, 10"
- Change "Left = Zoom out, 10"
- Change "Down = Zoom in, 10"
- Change "Up = Zoom out, 10"
restart your device, all should be good

Input.ini is in "Program Files/Opera Mobile 10/Profile"
And it's not so easy to get it working...

yes can you please confirm this works with the hardware zoombar rumpleforeskin? I looked in input.ini (in Program Files/Opera Mobile 10/Profile) And there are many entries for Right= etc. Which ini section should this be added to? In [Browser Widget]?

It's using Mobile View in the settings that breaks this version for me. Desktop view was fine when browsing xda forum.

Also I have seen that Opera 10 doesn't work well setting Mobile view.
I also have another problem, when I active Opera 10 from the internet tab touchflo, it send the following error:
Could not open file "file://localhost/home"
After if I overwrite this address with a correct url, Opera run very well.
Anybody knows how to solve this annoying error?

rumpleforeskin's idea doesn't work, also there is no "Opera" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\SmartTouch, there's "Opera Browser", dunno if it makes any difference
Where exactly do I put the Right/Left etc? the input.ini file has more sections, as wineds said.

Opera 10 Beta - lacking Zoom bar functionality not a problem
I've been trying the Opera 10 beta and have found that the lack of zoom bar functionality isn't an issue. Double-clicking on a page automatically zooms the browser to the right size for the body of text under the area double-clicked.
It actually is better that the default installation which I had to manually keep zooming to make the text fit.
Big +1 for this beta version on the TD2.
