scummVM Fullscreen - Touch HD General

Hello
How can I run scummVM on Fullscreen? I will play Monkey Island 2 on the HTC Touch...
http://www.scummvm.org/

I was trying this earlier. If you change the Graphics mode to 2x, then it's in "full" screen mode. I've only tried to play Flight Of The Amazon Queen - that turns the screen to landscape on the right automatically. I dunno about the other games though. You may need to have Adjust Aspect Ratio ticked too.
The problem is the same as on the Omnia, apparently. If it's landscape to the left, the cursor is an inch or so to the left of where you tap. So if Monkey Island doesn't turn the right way, I think there's a program that lets you turn the screen. I just can't remember what it's called...

nes emulator with landscape

does one (besides morphgear) have landscape support?
or is there anyway i can modify pocketnes or pocketnester to use landscape?
thanks, i love this place!
try MorphGear. Google it
Yep, you can modify Pocketnester to use landscape, just open the keyboard and it automatically adjusts to the landscape mode.
I use Inclose Mobile (free). It's a task manager that has a rotate option. I think that most drop down task managers have this.

doesn't for me, i'll try the inclose thing though
I am havign the same issue with nester. I also have inclose and have tried using it to force it to switch and the game image just won't stick. I will have to look into this morphgear
yeah that sucks, morphgear costs money too - and is pretty inferior emulation-wise
I got pocketnester plus but everytime I set my controls they are never right, meaning correlate to what I set them. Anyone else having this issue? I am gonna try to delete the software. reset my wizard then install again after work.

DeniaL,
Set the keys ask if you were playing it in portrait. Then set the display to landscape and it should work. I think it adjusts the keys as it needs too
I have an 8125 with morphgear but landscape doesnt work... any ideas?
I didn't use the buttons at the top (the email and internet buttons) as if I wanted these programs, chances are I would have my stylus out and they are in the today screen and start menu, so I set the email button to rotate the screen and the IE button to close programs (like hitting the [X]).
Certainly made it easier and the keys auto-rotate, but you have to convince it to go left (or right) handed as it defaults to the wrong one.
yeah i can't get the landscape to work for it eithor.
I set the keys for normal (non landscape) and when you flip the screen out, the keys change. but the screen does not change.
i have gotten the screen to change before i start the game.. but once you start, it switches right back.
anybody have any clue how to get the screen to switch to landscape without sliding the keys out?

will vueflo be able to rotate screen automatically?

vueflo is great for viewing webpages. all that technology for just scrolling through webpages... surely it's not just there for that. i'd like to see the screen rotate if you change how you hold the device... basically do what the iphone does. anyone know what future plans for vueflo will become? i play bejeweled 2 and with the universal i flipped the screen and the layout automatically rotates. i have to shut down bejeweled click rotate 3 times before i can play it properly. damn frustrating.

Auto rotate stopped working

I just got the HTC touch (love it so far) but after I installed the Sprint TV app (or about the same time, not sure if that was the direct cause) the auto rotate feature stopped working.
I can manually rotate to landscape mode but it doesn't automatic flip when I tilt the phone to the side. I've restarted, removed sprint tv, soft reset, but still isn't working.
If autorotate ever worked on your Vogue, it would be the first Vogue I've ever heard of that has that feature.
Whatever he's on, I want it.
The Vogue never had an auto-rotate.

If you have spb mobile shell 2 on your phone it will auto rotate your screen
from portrait to landscape mode. I have it (spb) on my phone (XV6900) and I just tried
it. It works.
maybe when you use a certain program like sprint tv, but it definately won't auto rotate like an iphone.
If you have mobile shell
2 it will rotate whatever
is on the screen - today
screen , email , etc. from
portrait to landscape.

Go to the tools section and push the rotate screen button.
By the way , when you
turn on the camera ,
the screen " autorotates"
to the landscape mode.
well when u open the camera it does not really Rotate the screen that's just how the camera opens the screens in behind it are still in portrait. If the screen is in portrait "mode" when you open the camera then something is wrong. And if you press a button to have it rotate that is not really auto rotate. so if by auto rotate you mean the view changes to landscape when you rotate the phone sideways that is something the vogue does not do. It does not have the hardware to detect orientation changes.
rofl the touch doesn't have a g sensor so autorotate is impossible.
Guys, no need to waste any more time on this. I think the reason for the question and confusion is a clear case of "spin".
It is true that when the Sprint TV application launches, it changes the screen orientation to landscape. When you close it, it switches back to portrait. You could say that it "automatically" does that. There is similar behavior for the camera and fullscreen video playback (if you have configured your device for it).
It is also true that the iPhone has a built-in piece of hardware that the Touch does not. This little gizmo (essentially an accelerometer) allows the phone to know when you have turned it on its side, and it will switch to landscape. This is an automatic process, and it is different from what the Touch does.
The Touch will never automatically rotate the screen unless someone here (hint, hint) writes an app that allows it to do so. One idea would be to use the camera to track the orientation of the device, and hence detect if the phone has been moved. This has obvious issues as the camera does eat up additional juice when it's on, and I'm not sure what the processing requirements are. We can make a thread on this in the hacking forum.

I don't know what you are smoking but I want some cause I have Mobil Shell 2 and it does not auto rotate. I have had my Touch 7 months and I have never had it auto rotate, I have to do it manually. As far as I understand it we do not have the necessary hardware for autorotation.
my camera "rotated"
hey.. maybe someone can explain this to me
one time when i turne don my camera. it was in portrait mode...
but it only did it once.. i realy dont like having it in landscape mode.
is there a way to get it to work in portrait mode all the time???
hey

Where can I go to download the mobile shell 2 then so mine will also rotate?
there has to be a tilt switch in the vogue, and there is not one in the sprint touch. so it will NOT AUTO rotate.

OMG - It DOES go to Portrait

OK, I may have missed something along the way, but I remember months ago every one was saying the Shift can not go to Portrait.
However, I was playing around with plug ins, trying to find something that makes the WM side more usable for me and I found the HTC Home Plugin Version 2.1 at:
http://www.pocketemu.com/downloads19.html
(this is one of two of the available downloads, I only used this one)
One of the tab buttons takes you a launcher, which includes the ability to change Portait to Landscape. So I tried it and WOW it worked.
Of course the computer thinks it is currently in Portrait, so when I hit the button I was actually telling it to go to Landscape, but we can not all be perfect.
Of course, the above call be obvious to everyone else who has been paying more attention.
It's well known that the WM can switch to portrait from landscape. I use Quick Menu and it works very well.
The issue is getting Vista to switch between portrait and landscape.

Dave
Mobipocket Reader switches WM mode

To avoid installing other apps, you use can use mobipocket reader for pocketpc both to read ebooks as well as switch the display orientation. switch the orientation within mobipocket, exit the reader, and voila - wm6 stays switched and rotated.
One other thing on mobipocket is that in full screen mode, tapping on top rightor top left corners (bottom right and bottom left works also) turns the page forward or back without requiring hotkeys to be pressed. Very nice. If you tap too close to the top it gets you out of fullscreen and shows the menu again.
On the vista side its still no joy :-(
The portrait orientation works well under Windows XP (and probably under Vista too), but only for 480x800 resolution. For 600x1024 it does not downscale.
To change between 800x480 and 480x800 (landscape and portrait), you can use iRotate tray utility for example.

Home/Today-Screen for Landscape mode on HD? (maybe from the Touch pro (Raphael))

Hi,
I want to use my HD in Landscape mode in the car, mostly for Navigation purposes, but sometimes also 'just' as a phone. (I need the landscape mode to have full functionality of Navigon MN7). The Problem is that the TF3D supports only portrait mode. Is there a possibility to (automatically) use a different Landscape-Today-Screen when turning the device and get back to TF3D when turning back to portrait? The Toch pro has a kind of Landscape today-Screen, although it's not TF3D... could there be a possibility to use that somehow? or just any other sensible possibility without switching off tf3d or manually using second today or something?
regards jan
really no one any ideas/suggestions? am i the only one who has that "problem"?
Have you tried GSen or Gyrator 2?
From what I understood it will fit your needs. Search for any of them here on forum.
i know about programs like gsen or gyrator, but that's not the point... the point is that the tf3d today/home screen itself is not available in landscape mode.
Another problem seems to be, that there are certain applications, who change the orientation again.
When I set orientation to landscape and start Navigation, it works as expected. Then a call comes in and the phone application turns everything back to portrait ... no way, to go back to landscape anymore. Is there a way to tell the phone app, not to turn the screen back again?
By the way, on the touch diamond the phone app runs in landscape, when this is the actual orientation ...

i believe you just answered your own question.
if you look at the raphael, the landscape mode requires an entirely different set of graphics and frames and layouts. it is not a simple rotate of the portrait view. On HD, that set of graphics, and frames do not exist. I _believe_ even if the GSEN or gyrator will rotate the homescreen to landscape, you would get some pretty ugly results. i haven't tried myself.
Yep it's like an untuned tv on the right. I really like it
Having said that if anyone does port the graphics...
