GPRS PPC wired laptop - Networking

Heyhey,
I hope this is the good topic for my problem: I can connect my WM phone to my laptop using bluetooth and then I can use my PPC as a wireless modem. But since BT AND GPRS cost a lot of energy, I want the connection to be wired.
I have searched for such topics, but I didn't find them. I hope someone can help me out with this
Greets,
Demster
Edit: I have the SPV M3000

Sharing GPRS connection on XDA2 with IPAQ using BluetoothGPS

Hi,
I'm trying to share my GPRS connection with my friend who has the IPAQ 1940. I'd like to use the Bluetooth connection.
I am using the BluetoothGPS.zip bluetooth stack which is basically the IPAQ one.
Can I just initate a SSA connection on the IPAQ and it'll automatically dial on mine?
To share Xda II intenet access to group of ppc or PC, I use pocketpcproxy (I named it ).
But that program are not perfected yet. If you are interesting, please check at http://en.pdamobiz.com/en/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=72
or http://en.pdamobiz.com/en/default.asp
Thanks, that's what i'm looking for...
BUT I noticed that the Widcomm bluetooth hacked drivers cause a lot of problems with the Pocket PC... Once you install that, your regular bluetooth gets messed up.
Also, you cannot use the Widcomm for SSA.
I'll email him anyway, thanks

Use internet explorer / MSN over Bluetooth

Dear all,
I've tried almost everything to make a LAN bluetooth network, but no luck so far.
I've paired up my PDA with my PC, but at the end of the wizard I can't select any services, although I have a bluetooth network connection available in 'network connections'.
Is there some driver I need to install first ? I've heard something about 'PAN' for bluetooth wich is necessary for the use of internet over bluetooth ??
Can anyone help me how to do this ??
Oh yeah, I haven't got a XDA based PDA, but a DELL Axim X50v with windows mobile 2005, but i guess this is a general question wich is valid for all types of PDA's ?
Thanks in advance
the ms bluetooth stack dont support PEN
vidcomm does
or you can just connect to activesync then your pda
have the same network access as your pc unless you have
it disabled that is
I've already found the answer. (finally fieuw)
Now I can synchronize AND surf the internet through Bluetooth !!

TCP/IP over bluetooth on Chramer

Hi,
I hope I am posting in the right forum, but I didn't find a forum for the Charmer (MDA Compact II) PDA phone. So, I am posting here, because I noticed that there are many threads here about Charmer, but If there is any place where my problem fits better, please inform me about it.
So, is there any way to set up a wireless TCP/IP network between PC and Charmer (obviously, over bluetooth, Charmer doesn't have Wifi)? After 2 days of massive googleing and reading various threads, I figured out that my Charmer shipped with microsoft bt stack, witch is not support PAN. On the Magician, there is a solution, it is possible to replace the bt stack with another one, or expand the functionality (I don't know too much about the technical details) to support PAN. On the Prophet, the problem easily can be solved with Wifi.
But what about the Charmer? I cannot find any working hack to replace the bt stack.
Activesync works over bt, but there is no TCP/IP. If connect through USB cable, TCP/IP network appears.
I'm really disappointed, and plan to sell my 1 week old Charmer because of this problem. Any comments, tips or tricks are welcome.
Thanks in advance
go into my network places, view network connections. you should be able to use the 'bluetooth network connection' to establish a network between the two but ive just tried it on mine and it doesnt work, guess the charmers stack doesnt support it. i know this is the right way to go about doing it as i can set up a network between my pc and laptop.
Yap dave, I did exactly the same, under network connections/bluetooth network connection I cannot add my ppc, becouse it says that it doesn't support PAN. That's why I need to replace the ms bt stack, wich is a garbage. As I figured out the last days, nobody have succesfully did this scenario yet.
Any solution?
I still don't have the solution for replace the BT stack on Charmer which supports PAN.
Any ideas?
When you connect to PC via ActiveSync (via Bluetooth) your ppc got address 192.168.55.101 and pc got address: 192.168.55.100

Internet sharing

Has anyone succeeded in using Internet Sharing over bluetooth with the Trinity? I am trying with a win2000 pc with the Widcomm BT stack and I can't make it work. The manual mentions BT Personal Area Network but the closest thing in the Widcomm stack is called BT Network Access Point.... I am trying to connect the pc and the Trinity that way but no joy so far. If it works for you, can you please post step by step instructions? Thanks.
PS: I don't know what was wrong with the old modem connection like my Qtek S200 had. I could make it work in seconds.

Connecting HTC HD2 to another phone

Folks,
I'm new.
I have a t-mobile HD2 without a voice/data plan whatsoever. I would like to connect it via bluetooth to my blackberry and use its data plan to connect to internet. In other words - simply - I want to tether HD2 with BlackBerry via DUN.
... but
The problem is HD2 does not connect to blackberry's BT DUN - it wants PAN and BB does not offer it and i could not find any way to enable/add it on BB side. In fact, HD2 says it could not find _any_ bluetooth services it is interested in.
I have done this exact thing with my jasjar running a cooked wm6.1 and it worked by selecting a bluetooth in the modem list.
HD2 does not have this option and in bluetooth settings i can see that it only offers an incoming bluetooth serial port (COM1) but not an outgoing one.
I am open to flashing another ROM instead of the stock t-mobile.
Please help and thanks in advance.
anyone ? please help !
heelp.
no one? come on, folks. help.
I also want this topic to move higher. Searching for the solution also.
It was no problem with Qtek 2020i with some patch. But HD2 can't find DUN on other devices. Sad truth. Maybe some registry hack from other WIDCOMM based devices with DUN client enabled'll help?
Some solution...

I need it.
Also desperately searching this too.
Desperately because I have no other possible solution.
This time it my car that provide the internet connection via BT DUN.
And of course no chance to get any kind of update/upgrade of the car bluetooth support.
