Is this happening to anybody else?
Its frusterating typing in a 30 digit password everytime!!!!
Can confirm this. It happens every time you are a bit too far from the access point. So X1 can see the AccessPoint but is not able to connect. Due this "unable to connect" the pre-saved password is deleted and you have to reenter... I havn't found a solution yet :-(

I'm not sure what i have done here, because up until about a week ago my jasjar worked fine with my wireless home network. Then, for some unknown reason, it has stopped.
It connects, then spends an age locating and opening, but does nothing. I have tested the signal (good), increased the performance and reset the connection on both the router and the jasjar.
Is there a schoolboy error that I am making that someone could make me aware of, or is there a solution that could resolve this. I had got used to using the net in my bed you see...
if you're not configured to obtain your DNS from DHCP; you DNS maybe suboptimal.
had the exact same prob today!!!! turned out that though the exec was showing as being coonected with the network infact it wasnt....just try to open your routers setting page...usually 192.168.1.1 if it opens then the prob is after the router otherwise before it.... had to hard reset my exec....
Solved
I simply deleted all connection info, and let the jasjar find my system again. Once found, had to reenter the connection info, and bingo, b3ta was readable again! Thanks for the replies folks!
I have recently experienced a stranfe problem with one of my wifi connections. I am using this connection to browse internet, and suddenly I lose connection and geta notice that the network key is incorrect. Upon checking I discover that the network key is cleared from the settings and the authentication type has been changed to open. This has occurred twice now, with no apparent changes anywhere else on the device. My laptops continue to access with no problem. My other wifi connections are not affected as of yet, although I rarely use this device on other wifi networks. soft reset does not resolve, I have to reenter authentication method and network key.
additional info linksys router.
using wpa-psk,tkip protocals.
Rom in signature.
Any thoughts? Has anyone else ever seen this? It seems like some process is actualy changing my settings for this network.
Has nobody else ever seen this? It seems to be occurng more frequently now. Now it just loses the network key. Any thoughts?
Good afternoon,
I have the ZDA IIi - 02 - trying to connect to any wifi network is a nightmare - I can get it to connect locally, but when the device asks for the security key, I simply get "incorrect key" I know it's the right key as my iPhone uses the same key. Can anyone, make any suggestions please?
see if this is a simular issue
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540235
Webcrawler, please read my post above, and see if it seems like a similar issue. I use WPA to make it happen less frequently.
Most likely you connected successfully the first few times, then all of a sudden it will no longer connect until your WIFI router is rebooted.
it seems like this happened maybe after I started using my phone with my dsl router for internet via wifi. anyway, I believe the error message also says something about the #777 that the connection dials as if it's a problem. I'm assuming that has always been the number, so maybe the problem isn't the number (?). so now I can barely connect to the internet with my data connection.google maps comes up tho momentarily.
MY experience with this has been totally annoying! ! ! The single and ONLY BAD thing about this phone.
What I experience is that for some unknown reason the Imagio looses the password to the data connection, and therefore can't connect the data side. It remembers the user name ([email protected]) but looses the password.
The only solution Ihave found is to go to settings/connections/connections/manage existing and edit the connection and re-re-re-re-re-re-re-enter the password.
I changed the registry setting in HKLM\comm\connMgr\Providers\7c4b...blah\VerizonWireless\RequirePw to 0, but no joy
I also changed connections.xml to include the [email protected], AND password, and requirePw = 0 with no joy there either.
I use WiFi when I'm at home, and every time I leave home, I have to re-enter the password. This is totally annoying.
IF I leave the data connection on, it will remain connected, but if I disconnect, I will have to reenter the password. That sucks.
I'm using the stock MR2 ROM.
Oh, no help from VZW, they say it's some program I'm running. Yeah, right.
Like there's a piece of software or some game that I'm running that's going to change the data connection's password. Right, and I own swamp land in Florida too.
It's bad enough that I can't use a hard IP address on Wifi when at home because the CDMA data side will also try to use that hard address, so the only solution I found is to use DHCP on WiFi so it will also work on the CDMA side.
IF someone knows a way that I can have something enter the password even on a timed basis, I would be very happy.
Until then, every time I connect to the CDMA data side, I have to enter the password or get the damn ppp error, can't connect message.
Just sharing MY experience.....
so what's the password?
For verizon (which is what I know)
Verizon
Username:
[email protected]
Password:

oh silly me. i use pageplus. but thanks anyway
So I just got my phone like two weeks ago. At my home I can connect to my wifi fine (it is secure but i don't remember what type). but when I am at work, I can connect to the visitor network which has no security, but sends you to a login page when you connect and makes you enter a password that they change daily. So being stuck using the visitor network would be a huge pain to have to go call it and get the password every day. We also have a staff network that is secured with 802.1xEAP and has MSCHAPV2 phase 2 verification. However whenever I try to connect to it, the little spinner spins for 3-5 min and then it says that my credentials are invalid. I have verified that both my username and password are 100% correct. I even went and spoke to one of the system admins and they pulled up the logs and can see that I did give the correct info and the system accepted me. They looked at my phone and tried to set the connection with EAP method = PEAP, Phase 2 authentication = MSCHAPV2, my username and password and it still failed. So that combined with the logs lead them to think something is wrong with the phone.
I have tried restarting the phone, trying with bluetooth on and off, turning mobile data off and and putting it in airplane mode while trying to connect (idk why this would help but some guide i found on google said it would), I have turned off the auto connect to hotspots and disabled smart switch. I have forgotten the network and re-added it, reset all network settings. None of this stuff worked.
The only thing I have not tried is a factory reset, but i would like to avoid doing this if at all possible.
I read somewhere that it is an issue with Android 6.1 but I also found articles saying samsung patched the issue so I am not sure what to believe. And in both cases i could not find any updates beyond the initial posts.
Anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix? Or, am I just left waiting for a software patch?
Is your phone rooted?

no it is not.
Its my first android (i have had an iphone 4 for last 4-5 years) so I am a little hesitant to root it.
No one else at your work has a problem with connecting to the wifi, with their phone? You can always check out their connection settings. Is your laptop and phone trying to use the same credentials?

Were you given a CA certificate for PEAP with MSCHAPv2 to install on your phone?

no I was not. My boss didnt have a certificate either, and also didn't use the MSCHAPv2 so I tried it without that and still no go.
AFAIK a CA certificate should be required for PEAP with MSCHAPv2 authentication, otherwise your credentials verification would fail (even if they are correct).
But I'm not so expert...

Me either. Boss had no no secondary auth set and was able to connect. No such luck for me if i turn it off. Still gives same invalid credentials issue.
