Radio Rom 2.67.90

I have been reading rumors about this Radio Rom. If it does exist, what rom is it from. If some one can tell me i'll extract and test it.

look in artemis forum, they got the 2.67.9 radio rom in the latest artemis rom. we shoul b able to use it no problem. im willing to try it out 1st if anyone able to extract it.

so did someone try it? i heard new versions were very bad for the battery life, hope this one is better.

i did.. but im using wizard. somehow not compatible. should be able to use. i dunno if rdboyce pulled it out from the artemis or not but it dun work. it didnt crashed the phone thou so no harm in trying. you can flash it back to 2.26 or 2.47 if dun work

I did pull it from the Artemis and I'm redoing it now. You're right it don't work but it doesn't brick. I looked at the size and the Hex Dump of both and they are similar. The Artemis ROM even had the G3 and G4 IPL and SPL when I decoded the ROM. I had so much hope but no go.
I was considering the Excalibur ROM as well but its bigger than the Prophet/Wizard radio ROMs. I'm more apt Prophet/Wizard Radios are usually around 2.5MB. The Excalibur ROM is 2.8MB. Not sure the the dedicated Radio space on the Prophet but the difference is just enough to brick.
I've already decoded it. If some one wants to try the Excalibur I'll post it.

Confirming the radio rom does not work as well on my S200

I've created a G3 version for my S200 but it's not working, doesn't find the provider any longer, I'll play around some more, but a no go so far.

I'm the same place after re-extracting it from the Artemis ROM. I'm going to wrap the Excalibur ROM. It'll be posted soon. Anyone wanting to try it, Have fun.

i've changed the header info a bit, but that doesnt seem to help either

I'll do a test soon, I'm playing with the new AKU 3.2 ROM and made a clean version.

Radio rom upgrade problem!
I upgraded my s200 RadioROM to 2.63.90. Now my Phone lost Radio Rom and lost the GSM signal. The phone become very slow and con't activesync to the pc. I have try but can't upgrade any other rom now! Can someone help me?

I had the same problem! After radio update, Prophet does not connect to the PC anymore. I,ve managed the problem with the following steps, take them exactly:
1. Download the linked file and extract it in a known place: ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Wizard/2_47_11_radio.rar
2. Disconnect Prophet from the USB cable;
3. Enter in the boot loader mode (press power button + camera button in the same time and hit reset);
4. Connect the cable and in the left down corner the USB name will apear;
5. Go to the directory that you extracted from the downloaded file and start ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe (is in itallian, but there are the usual steps for upgrading ROM, so I think you'll manage).
After this, hopefully the upgrade Radio ROM process will start!
I'll repet myself, follow exactly this steps with attached file, this was my way and the only that worked for me!
P.S. Someone should delete the 2.63.90 Radio ROM file from th Prophet FTP, is dangerous and brakes your Prophet!

Radio 2.63.90 removed.
The Radio 2.63.90 has been removed. It is incompatible the Prophet. I'm going to continue to research these Roms. Thanx for the input.

Here's my own modification. I did id for my own purpose, and decided to share it with you.
As a Base, I choosed 1.11.171 version of O2 ROM.
I stripped it from o2 stuff, left only necessary files. I added extra bluetooth profiles and left bluetooth and camera patch from new version (pug's version doesn't have it, despite what he says in his posts on this forum)
I also added Radio 1.04 from Pug's release.

radio was taken from pug's release (162).. which is good, because it's more stable than official 1.0
apart from this, there's patched bluetooth driver, that was officialy released by o2. _THE SAME_ that previously was circulating around this forum.
i merged it with extra profiles taken from previous releases, because some people experienced a tiny set of options with this upgrade.
camera fix was also merged from the new, official 171 release. dunno what it does, because i'm not using this function
overall, the stability is the same because main rom version is the same. it doesn't change anything in windows core. changes were made only to the extended rom. that's it.
i have many applications (including startup ones, like: spb pocketplus, resco explorer, skype, agile messenger, etc.)
i'm using my rom for a week and I, personally, didn't experienced ANY hangs or resets. it's working like a charm.

sure you can, and yes you'll lose everything (like after hard-reset)

My Alpine is dead
Yesterday I tried to update my alpine to this new Rom, but dissaster happened.
Maupgrade recognized my device and my version, and I told the program to begin with the update.
After more than 3 hours the scrren was blank with usb v1.01.
I took the pda and trie to hard reset it but it has been imposible.
Now the screen only says serial v1.01 or usb v1.01
If i try to re-run the maupgrade it only says that is checking the information of my device and stays like that for hours.
what can I do to have my PDA back?????

if you still have the screen saying serial v1.01 or usb v1.01, your device isn't bricked. maybe try other rom upgrade

Still No Luck
I have tries to install again the same ROM but there is no way of doing it. Maupgrade freezes saying "checking infromation from your device".
Any other ideas??

Dude, this happens sometimes. Take it out of cradle and then take the battery out. Re-insert the battery again and put it in the cradle and then re-run the maupgrade.

I have solved the problem!!!
I have tried doing it on a windows xp based computer and everything worked fine.
Has anybody had the same problem with windows vista???

Maybe you would like to share what roms u using?
Some suggestions, you might want to flash back to the original rom to see if such problem persist.
I'm currently using UDK R7 with murata 1.58.25.14.
Hope that helps

Because on a dutch forum we collect al the serialnr. to look at the most common problems with the serialnr. as a reverence.
Maybe with this information i can look a this forum for u so you can contact HTC.

there is a fix on the HTC site
there is a patch for the HTC polaris on the HTC site. Did you apply that?

This patch can not solve BT problem. The BT can't switch on to apply a patch (patch for mute and steady)

Note that: i have try many Radio, many Rom but same problem, even come back to original Rom.

Is it your hardware problem? Seems no ppl encounter the problem. I use it very happy. No hanging at all.

Do you try radio rom 1.64.08.21? the lastest one because no problem with this raido rom for me and other in this forum.

Yes, i have try 1.64.08.21.
This is not a hardware error because some time my BT was switch on, (on that time i dont know why it live)

What is the differences between 1.58.25.14 and 1.64.08.21 version.I don't understand why some rom are 1.58.xxxx and other are 1.64.xxxx

are you using the comm manager or just turning it on from the bluetooth section of connections

Today my Polaris Began to do exactly the same, Bluetooth will not turn on no matter what. I did hard reset, applied the BT patches on HTC support page after the hard reset and my Bluetooth worked for some hours but when I walked in the car it could not connect to the BT Hands free and afterwards it restarted itself and no more BT. Did hard reset again applied the patches but now nothing seems to work. I have the original German 1.25.407.1 GER ROM and it had been working great for the past six months but not anymore today... any suggestions on how to fix this issue??

1.64 Radio ROMs are from Kaiser.

Bluetooth is weird, i never managed to setup activesync with my cruise with BT,
only USB
all other stuff works.

I have the same problems with my HTC TC. It is only 4 months old and it all started with the BT problem failing intermittently... now permanent. Then my mic volume is too soft to make proper conversation... and now my USB doesn't work.
My TC information as follows:
ROM: 1.26.457.1 WWE
Radio: 1.58.21.23
I like to flash the ROM with the latest from HTC but no USB connection... to PC.
Can someone advise how I can proceed?? I'm hoping this upgrade can fix all my problems.

You can put your phone into bootloader mode by pressing camera + reset button, connect your phone into PC by USB cable, then flash a rom you want.
In my 3 month experience using Polaris, no any rom or radio at this moment can fix BT problem. Only one method will fix it: goodbye Polaris, buy another phone

So I like to try and recover the TC by trying everything b4 giving up totally. My PC-to-USB connection on the TC does not work and would like to see if I can load the new ROM on HTC site thru' other means via the microSD.
Anybody know how I can achieve this???

rename the RUU_signed.nbh to POLAIMG.NBH copy to the root of your sd card then while pressing your camera button take youir stylist and stick it in the reset hole at the bottom of your phone to the left of your usb.

Missing FM Radio + GSen crashing on boot

Hi friends,
I purchased an unlocked version of GSM Touch Diamond from newegg.com while I was in US. I realised later that I could not find any FM radio in it. How do I know if its just hidden (though that would be absurd) or not present at all ? How can I get it, if it can be done (and I would assume a rom update) ?
Secondly, I installed the latest version of GSen, got it to be run at startup and when I rebooted my phone, it said that GSen would not start bcos of some damn error. I had to uninstall. Any ideas how I can get around this ?
My rom version is 1.93

In order to 'unlock'the FM radio you need to replace your ROM with a cooked ROM that has it built in. There is no way to enable it without doing so. Also GSen is an old program and I never had much luck with it. I would recommend Gyrator2 as it is a much more stable and gives more options for customization. Hope it helps!! Both of these answers could be found in the xda forums with just a little bit of searching...

I was able to get the FM Radio without replacing my original ROM by downloading the radio cab file from this post -

I want to upgrade my device to latest possible version available today. Please help me how to go ahed.
I lik my device vry much, onlything, functionally its lagging far behind. Say even I cant add Google lattitude or any of .cab file bcs its not supporting so.
I'm totally new to this all & never done before but if guided I can do it.

If you download any roms: wm6.5 is the latest, but wm6/6.1 is more reliable.

Well, I all set go for my first ROM update. But just the part of precaution, I'v a query!
I gone through many threads & wiki, which helped me like tutorial.
But if suppose the new ROM update gets crash with my Himalaya, is there any way to re-jump to the existing original ROM I do have in device now?
I mean, can I bounce back to original ROM, in case of new ROM update failure?? If yes, please guide me how??

if you list all the spec of your computer and the equipment that you have for your himalaya it would give me a clearer idea about upgrading for you.
2.Its ok it keeps me busy! my teacher has gave me 3 htc voxes to fix in the past. anyway.
a little story.
When i got my himalaya in march this year i was chufed at what it could do then i discoverd that the rom was out of date and that was why i couldnt install much. Then i found this place. I read up on some threads on updating and i saw it was possible. So i nervously followed the guide because i found that if anything went wrong the device could be rendered unuseable. But... I went ahead and flashed it and it worked. And the first rom i ever flashed was athers windows mobile 6 ultimate edition. Since then i have not yet found a rom as brilliant as stable as it.
so when upgrading things can go wrong. but dont be reluctant to flash a new rom.
and you would have to do a bit of research if you decided you wanted the original rom back.
btw how old are you?

Thanks for encouragement. Like you, me too love my gadget very much & peruse a hobby of using high profile gadgets. I was not aware of this platform & came across through Googgling.
Long time I'm using O2 XDA II & loves it badly, it's a last gift from one of my friend from Singapore who's no more.
I'v a HP 614c gadget & if succeed with this , I'l like to have some R & E with that too, in fact that's require on that.

Well man, I got this link (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=233219) relate to O2 XDA II WM 2003 SE ROM, please have a look on the same.
Whats your opinion, can I use this for bounce back to previous version, in case of any problem?

that rom i would recommend flashing with that first.

Y'day I tried to do the process but I fell to upload Hard SPL (BTW I'm going for C_shekhsr's ROM)
I followed noobs guide, update the USB driver for vista, then went to bootload the device & try to force Hard SPL.
Following all given instructions also its showing connection error (Error 260, 264) & process stops, but in reality everything is well connected & correct.
Well, when Hard SPL program executing, I observe, it also not showing my old version @Upload (second stage of confirmation).
Is there any special process for O2 XDA II hard SPL & on vista os??
I followed all guides well; What do you think may b going wrong?

Hard SPL? whats that? i never had to use it.
regarding error no connection:
go to task manager and make sure something a long the lines of microsoft usb sync or something is installed. and then disallow all the connection settings in windows mobile device center.
oh and if it still doesnt work try it without hard spl because i didnt use it. and it works on 7 and xp.
oh and the rom im using now is WinMoB_6.1_OS_5.2.21109_Build_21109_-_Lite_WWE.

Well, he flaged Hard SPL as compulsory pre requirement.
Well, the OS you have mentioned, is that of Ather? or from which source?
Y'day I tried Asia CE2003 (Upgraded), & that worked.
Well, in Bootloader, the device connectivity is a main issue occurring with me & I'm failing to understand the reason. I mean is this bcs of Vista or else?

just try it without the hardspl thing cause it worked for me.

I load the Ather's dark ROM (WM 6.0) & its really nice, I'm enjoying a new look to my gadget.
Well, is it possible to install FM Radio on O2 XDA II? I tried the same from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=479572 but saying not related application after installing cab.
Do you have any clue for same??
