I have blank email bodies on sent emails and draft emails. They are there for a few weeks then eventually go blank. I did sprite backup with restore and that didn't help and I did PIm restore too. I also deleted the account and recreated it and eventually the sents and drafts email bodies are blank. I have the stock verizon 6.1

From unkonwn reason I cannot see or access my SMS inbox. When I go into my inbox, I am able to see only the Active Sync inbox, the SMS inbox has gone away.
Any ideas how to show it again?
your sms inbox database & ou active synch database are deleted, the possible reasons for that are either you restored from a backup file where your inbox was not included or you used the Database view program & accedently removed it, in both cases & to my knowledge you have to hard reset & restore from a backup you did
Hi,
after getting my XDAIIi back from having the screen replaced I had to restore my last backup.
I now have two old email's in the inbox of the Outlook Email account in the messaging application which were obviously unread messages when that backup was created via ActiveSync.
Any ideas how I can get rid of them? I can click and highlight them but even though the option to delete the message(s) is shown when I choose 'delete' or 'move' nothing happens to the message.
Many thanks
i have a similar problem, the emails can't be read, deleted, or moved, and it has nothing to do with restoring (as the only restoring i've done was part of Sin's ROM build process for WM2003SE on the XDAII).
these emails that are unmoveable/readable/deletable i used to be able to read, like a couple of days ago i could.
before i recently hard reset the device, i had the same problem with some sms's in my sms inbox and sent folder.
very strange and annoying, as a hard reset appears to be the only way to get rid of them.
Where are e-mail account & unread files held?
Hi there, hope you can help.
I have an HTC Wizard (O2 XDA Mini S) and recently restored a backup using
the latest Sprite Backup for WM5.0.
It kinda half restored my one POP3 e-mail account, in that the account
appears on the Today screen showing '59 Unread', but not in the Messaging
program folder list. I.e. it's there, but not visible and I can't see the
Inbox etc.
When I try to recreate the account using the same name, Messaging won't let
me as 'an account already exists with that name'. So, it's invisible.
I've tried removing all entries of the account name from the registry, but
after a reboot they reappear, it still shows Unread items, and I can't
recreate the account.
How can I completely remove this account, to start again?
I just re-flashed the ROM of my Wizard and used Sprite Backup to restore my SMS messages. Everything works great. But...
Now I have on the Messaging Today Plugin an old e-mail account showing with unread messages. This e-mail account is not installed on either the Wizard or my desktop I used for syncing. I can highlight it on the Today Screen but when I click it doesn't go anywhere.
I've search entire registry and deleted all instances of the e-mail account and/or account name. I've even tried creating a new account with the same name (it doesn't let me as it says its a duplicate). Either way...everyting I tried has yet to solve it.
Anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance.
When you don't have any precious mail in there, you can use for example SKTools 3's mail database cleanup utility to clean up these databases completely.
Menneisyys,
Thanks for getting back to me. I've tried what you have suggested. First backup the entire phone again. Then did the following:
1) Deleted all e-mail accounts in PIM
2) Deleted all registry entries with any information linked to e-mail account name or account's e-mail address
3) Ran SKTools' Messaging cleaner and deleted all files
4) Ran SKTools' Databases cleaner and emptied all fldr* files that aren't matched to SMS messages. I was unable to delete any of them. It would just say "1 process" but when it re-scans it will still show as 356 bytes.
5) Ran SKTools' Delete PIM info and emptied all MSG for all e-mail accounts. Once again I was unable to delete any of them. it would just reduce them to Zero bytes.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Probably not very helpful now but if they are POP email accounts you are supposed to delete them before the backup as they cannot be restored to a new ROM or Device.
Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me where in the registry the email accounts are stored. I restored from spb backup and for some reason I had to reset up my email accounts, the problem is that some of my programs such as pocketbreeze are still picking up the old email accounts that I orgianally had setup. I would just like to know how to delete these accounts. I went to the options in messaging but those accounts from before I restored from the backup do not appear. any help would be much appreciated
