I tried both, i-nigma freezes my diamond to, quickmark works on 2D-Codes. But is there a program to read the bar codes on all the things from the supermarket? I think, that's only the number under the bar code.
CU, dc7os
what its good for ?
Yah what's the point of reading a barcode?

I use quickmark with QR-Codes. I make my own V-Card and every quickmark user and/or N95 (Barcode) user can scan my QR Code and save it @ a new contact with all important informations about me and my company
In Asia is it a normal way 2 swap contact data and hear in germany find u an QR-Code on all mail near the stamp.
Try Barcorama...

Hello all!
I was wondering if anyone knew if the app called Bar Scan ( or something like that) for android has been released for Windows Mobile? The app allows one to scan bar codes(I believe via the camera) and search for better prices online using the SKU number.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
hi!
there is a free program called i-nigma that uses the camera, but it's a scanner for QR Code and Data Matrix
look at this http://www.i-nigma.com/personal/Default.asp
bye
Quickmark http://www.quickmark.com.tw/En/basic/index.asp is a very fast 2d code scanner. But it looks like there isn't any 1d barcode scanner available for wm devices.
Hello again!
Thank you for your suggestions, they both look very promising and I will have to look into both of them!!
Thanks again, Best Regards.
i dont think any of those are what he is looking for...
I had ported ZXing barcode library (google it) from java to C# .net a couple months ago (when I was prototyping a barcode app) but I haven't really tried it yet. An easier way for .NET developers might be to try using the ZXing just as it is via J#.
This would be awesome, but unfortunately, it won't let me complete a purchase. My IMEI has 2 alpha characters in it, and they want 15 numbers, even though it's made for the Touch Diamond. Bummer.
Do a search in the forum for barcorama, it works on my fuze.
Thanks for the tip! It works, although not nearly as well at capturing as QuickMark, but it will do for now.
Here's barcorama
thank you darkness!
I'm looking for a good feed reader application that supports wvga and allows me to view pictures (webcomics) and flash content (if possible, optional) inside the flash player. The RSS reader that is installed shows only text. Anyone who can point me in the right direction?
try spb online or spb insight
Newsbreak, pRSSReader, Egress - all these can download pictures as well, none support flash I think
I use google reader iphone version on iris browser. works like a charm though it doesn't support flash.
maybe combining reader + opera + flashlite should work...
I use BeyondPod for my feeds and podcasts. Don't know if it can do flash though.
Thanks for the all the replies people. Here's some results:
SPB Insight: First of all, it's paid, I prefer not to pay for such a trivial app. Second, it didn't look the way I like my feedreader to look.
Newsbreak: Won't install on X1, keeps returning an "installation unsuccesful" message.
Egress: Won't install on X1, keeps returning an "installation unsuccesful" message.
pRSSReader: Looks like everything I want, but refuses to show pictures - it's the same as the stock RSS reader.
Google Reader: I've never in my life seen such an unintuitive and annoying feed reader. Also, it's online, I want to be able to use it offline as well.
Beyondpod: Review coming soon, can't DL it from opera mobile, the website doesn't correctly load and I don't have access to a PC atm.
does anyone of the mentioned apps have the ability to show feeds on the Today screen?

Newsbreak does indeed work on the x1... was recommended to me by a friend and I have been using it all day... nice little app and does what it says on the tin (plus a bit more).... would recommend this one... would also like to try egress too as have heard its pretty good... btw Newsbreak utilises the whole screen... and it has a today screen plugin which is pretty good... and handy...
Does anyone know how often SPB Insight updates/download the feeds?
Or do I have to do it manually?
I use this app:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ooijamaxocg
It's Java but has a load of channels to choose from.

After reading on SPB forums, I found out that it doesn't auto-update.
Does anyone know of another app with both a today screen plug-in and auto-updates?
RSS Hub will work with Flash (as long as FlashLight 3.1 is installed). Look hard enough and you can find a cab for that around here.
How about pRSS Reader??

Newsbreak... you can set it to update when you are connected to pc, connected (wireless for eg) and a couple of others as well as never... and it shows on today...
pRSS Reader also shows on Today, just checked.
Thanks guys. Ive just tried 3 different RSS readers and heres what I thought:
* SPB Insight: Looks good, especially with thumbnails on the Today-screen.
- Doesn't have auto-update
* Newsbreak: Works great and has auto-update.
- Doesn't appeal me visually / No thumbnails on today-screen.
* pRSS reader: Works great, has auto-update and shows more info than Newsbreak on the today screen.
- No thumbnails either.
So it came down to either have thumbnails or auto-update, and I went with pRSS reader

Yes. Go to the website you want the feed from, and look at their RSS address (hold the mouse over their RSS-icon).
For example http://icanhascheezburger.com/ has http://feeds.feedburner.com/icanhascheezburger

maybe enabling multi touch is a trivial matter. i seriously doubt that HTC modified all these apps in such short notice. so far i have seen the following apps demonstrate multi touch:
IE
opera mobile
google maps
Igo,
TF3D,
all office aplications
media player
anybody has any idea about that

cool (would be even cooler if you still have it), was that video shot in Gitex or Riyadh?
for multitouch on IE look at this video http://pocketnow.com/tech-news/ie-mobile-supports-multitouch-on-htc-hd2-windows-mobile-65 its probably just a newer software revision than the one in gitex. that was a very nice video btw
oh and i found this interesting answer
l3v5y says:
PMI'm willing to bet that the multitouch is provided by an HTC service that's integrated with the touch screen driver, and is nothing to do with MS. My Diamonds zoom wheel zooms in in IE, that was an HTC "Innovation".

I have to say, I don't speak any Arabic other than please/thankyou/hello/goodbye but this video review has been one of the best I have seen in terms of a tour around the device. Well done.
Is there a Windows Phone (Mobile) version of IGo? I can only find an iPhone version.
Does anyone know if HD2 comes with IGo or any other navigation software out of the box?

You must be kidding - I've been using iGo before the iPhone even appeared, and the iPhone version is a rather dumbed down one. I don't know where you can (legally) download it though.

I assume whenever the zoom-bar of Diamond 2 works, multituch zoom works too (this means it works in messages too)

Thanks for the link.
How do you deal with the need to keep the software on the original SD card? I install most of my software on an 8GB card. Switching between the two seems impractical. And from reading the info at the site, it doesn't look like you can transfer their card data to a larger card. Or is there a way to do that which NavNGo would rather not make generally public?
Thanks.

Does this multi touch pinch zoom functionality work while reading Mircosoft Exhange Email?
Any Idea?

You can't run a legal copy from anywhere except their card, you can't just copy the data over to another one.

Just noticed that an 8GB card is available, so I'm assuming there's more than 6GB of free space. I could work with that.
I tried to find a functioning demo showing the maps AND offering examples of the voice directions. No luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Can anyone recommend and poste an good 1d, 2d barcode reader software for de HTC touch pro 2 ? Please include an activation methode.
Thx for your advise
you can download free 2D barcode readers from I-nigma and Microsoft but I-nigma seems to be a little more responsive than the Microsoft one. You can even create your own 2D barcodes on Inigma's website.
http://www.i-nigma.com/Downloadi-nigmaReader.html
Microsoft Tag
You can create barcodes but you have to create an account.
http://www.i-nigma.com/Downloadi-nigmaReader.html
also if you read the sticky it shows softwares worth installing for your tp2 it includes the programs mentioned by strikeIII
Does anybody know a QR code reader that works with Leo?
I've tried: i-nigma, quickmark, beetagg...
I-nigma just quits when it is started. Quickmark doesn't load. Beetagg can scan, but fails to load webpages.
strange because i use BeeTagg on my HD2 and it works fine.
I have the 1.48 Bouygues Telecom French ROM.
Yes ! I download the release version for HD2 from quickmark
and it work!
When I use BeeTagg, whenever I try to load the browser to go to a URL nothing happens.
I see QuickMark released a HD2 version after the last time I checked. I'll try it. Thanks!
QuickMark is free? It asks for login... I cannot create logins on every stupid webpages...
Hi, I can confirm QuickMark works very well on HD2. It is free but does require a registration. Since it worked so well I went for the $10 advanced version which amongst other things also stores the codes.
I'm working with Quickmarks for the past few days and it's got real potential. What upc databases are you people using?
I-nigma works awesome for me. very fast, in fact its greece lightening..
Tried all 3 aswell, and I got the same problems as cortk has. Anyone got something else?
Have you guys installed the .net framework 3.5? (Needed for several other apps/mainly older ones) Just a thought.
Quickmark 3.8.5 for HD2
Mirror: mediafire
There is a new revision QuickMark-DS-HTC-v3.8.5r4697 on QuickMark's website that works well for hTC HD2
Both I-Nigma and BeeTagg worked fine for me. I preferred the way I-Nigma works though.

Hi guys,
I did download and installed the quickmark qr....but I can only read the barcodes...no information about the product...when i click access a windows pops up telling me I need the advanced edition and must purchase. No other option?
i-nigma reader seems to do the trick.
http://www.i-nigma.com/Downloadi-nigmaReader.html
blurb says;
"Go to www.i-nigma.mobi on your mobile. I-nigma will automatically identify your handset type, download and install i-nigma."
tried I-nigma but it installed ok, but when app opens i see a black box in the middle and it then crashes wanting to send an error report.
Tried to use the latest version of Quickmark (QuickMark-DS-HTC-v3.8.5r4697.kcu.CAB) here, but it sez to hit enter (no keyboard pop us so that's a no go.
Eventually I will find one that will work.
MobileTag works on all the barcodes I've ever found, including QR.
It's free from Omarket.
Try this
