did tmobile discover this loop hole??

Working fine for me today. Have you changed your network preferences to use wifi perhaps?
Did you update your ROM recently? The new ROM does not allow you to get to the internet with TZones.
I am having no problems, and unless there has been a recent t-mobile update to the ROM (recent as in newer than 2.26.10.1) and everything is working peachy for me.
You are using a proxy, right?

Click to collapse
I'm using 2.26.10.2 and don't have problems. Is there a newer version?
actually, it works but only for IE. I downloaded Opera 8.6 trial version and when I tried to connect, it just says Connecting... but never connects.
I read on Opera's site that it uses port 80 and for Tmobile users, port 80 is an upgraded subscription port. I am wondering if any of you are using the Tzones GPRS to run Opera 8.6. If so, please enlighten me since my Opera isn't working.
Thanks, Mike

A Step By Step Tethering Guide for your 8525

Hey Guys,
Check this out: http://www.box.net/public/jytpxq47nk#main
Follow this to the "T" and it works like a charm! I did it and it I finally am able to connect!!! Here are what I am running:
ATT 8525 Downgraded to Rom 1.34
Radio 140
BB Connect 2.1.2.54 transport=2.1.0.91
I have the BB unlimited plan
NO LAPTOP Connect
I get about 138k with GPRS and about 600k with 3G in Vegas. I hope this helps..
Use mobile 6 and you don't need to do all of that. You can use internet connection sharing.
Running WM 6 as well. Is there a way to tether with AT&T without looking suspicious and get charged without the tethering data package? Any success with this?
Thanks

Wi-Fi Problem

I'm having an odd problem with my Sprint Mogul wi-fi. I can connect to the network at my office using wi-fi, but I can't use the Internet. I'm guessing it's because the wi-fi router is being used as just an access point, and a server is acting as the router for the entire office. I know it's not the wi-fi, as I can connect at home and use the internet without problems. I'm thinking it could be the ROM, because I didnt have this problem when using dcd's ROM (currently using Sprint ROM because I had to take it in for a new battery). This isn't a common problem, but is there a solution that allows me to stick with the Sprint ROM, or will I have to switch to dcd's ROM to get this to work? Thanks in advance.

Need Help: Mobile Internet issues

Hello Guys,
So I'm on Simple Mobile (on t-mobile network) and I activated mobile internet soon as I got my vibrant. Before, I used wi-fi and everything worked well. But when I enabled mobile internet (My provider gave me settings for G1 & G2. I thought that it would be good enough for my vibrant), I faced these problems
*The default web browser won't connect to internet
*Other applications seem to work fine
*I can browse android market but any downloads I make are unsuccessful.
Its just so weird that some apps are able to connect to internet and some don't. Is this a known issue or is it something with the settings I got from my provider?
any help/comments would be appreciated!
Different apps probably communicate on different ports. I know when I got mine from T-Mobile the rep had to edit my account to add the Android data plan even though I already had unlimited data he just needed to change the provisioning. The only reason I can think of is that maybe it unlocked different ports.

[Q] turn off t-mobile hotspot as default wifi

Hello,
i have a tmob stock, unrooted SGT. and for some reason, on wifi it defaults to the tmob hotspot with no bars instead of grabbing the open signal right next to it (set up a WAP in my office) I manually connect to the WAP, but within seconds, SGT disconnects and go back to the tmob signal. Anyone seen this or know how to reconfigure.
I plan to root my SGT soon after doing my research here. You guys are gods =D
I believe you can open up the tmobile hotspot app and disable it. You may have to hit the menu key and pull up the options. But its there somewhere.
thanks~ totally forgot they pre-installed that app. I kept checking in the wireless and network settings menu. connecting perfectly now.
now for more research and will attempt to root my SGT this weekend.
