Just wondering if there were any emulators so that i dont have to keep flashing my titan over and over to see which roms i like and dont like lol this would be nice.
Yea, I'd like the same thing, it would be nice to be able to check ROMs before reloading.

I think if you download the Windows Mobile 6.1 SDK it comes with an emulator you can use.
You have to have visual basic tho lol
I don't believe this version requires VS:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...A8-1DD7-426F-A913-4F370A65A582&displaylang=en
Thanks for the link I am downloading now and will post back if successful.
I couldn't find were i could flash a rom in windows mobile 6 SDK
Yea, I use VS and I think you can use those emulator images to run things on WM 6, but I don't believe it allows you to 'reflash' a ROM image (unfortunately).
If anyone can prove me wrong or knows a way, then please respond!

Hello all,
I have got a HTC HD2 phone with WM 6.5 T.Mobile version and the question is: Do I have to remove the current WM 6.5 that is installed on my phone in order to install Android? if yes, is there a way to backup the windows and everything installed on it including the messages and the names stored? If no, is it 100% guranteed that the WM will work perfectly with Android? Which version of Android is most stable with everything working perfectly? Also I need to know the exact tips of installing. You may laugh when I tell you that I need to install Android because there is a game being released for Android and not for WM this game is ANGRY BIRDS you have no idea how I'm glad I will be able to play it as my friend got an iphone and he doesnt want me to play it with his phone
So people, I know these are alot of questions but, all of us began this way. Thank you for understanding.
Michael
Usually these type of questions get the "do some research yourself" treatment, but i'm such a nice guy, so here i go:
No, WM stays. Android boots from SD card.
But, to get Android to boot right you have to upgrade you phone a bit. Well, a lot actually. You have to make your phone able to do other things than just stock WM. (Upgrade SPL). Change the Radio (part of the "bios"), change the WM to something better, and then at last you'll be able to use your Android.
These steps are usually done once, and then you'll be able to change your Android version easily later.
But still, it's all worth it
Good luck
The short answer to your question is 'yes', you will need to 'uninstall' WM 6.5 to use Android.
You will need to 'flash' another ROM, which will replace WM 6.5 as you know it. You can always revert back to the stock version in the future.
You might also need to flash another radio (depending on which version you have already).
There is no single 'best' version of Android right now. There are several, each being updated constantly. In broad terms, you can choose from a HTC Sense version, or a stock Android (Froyo) version.
You are asking too many questions to talk you through the process here. I am using the following:
ROM - Chuckydroid
Radio - 2.12.50.xx
Android - Bangsters V1.3
You will need to search and learn if you wish to progress.
One word of advice - read and follow all instructions carefully!

Hey
You are speaking mysteries guys
Here are the details of my OS
OS version: 5.2.21889
ROM version: 2.10.531.1
RADIO version: 2.08.50.08_2
What should I do? Another question: Isn't the OS WM I have a registered version from Microsoft? Or it doesn't matter I can install any version?
Another thing, I did try searching and asking a lot of questions to know the answers I'm asking about it here. But the thing is that people talk about an advanced things and I need to start from the beginning.
Thanks guys for being patience with me, I really appreciate it.
Michael
I will follow this one... I am still trying to get anything. Tried Froyo's on stock by just putting it on the SD card... but it says: Jumping to kernal, so that wont work really well.
Maybe someone could write a clear How-To to just get a Android instal.. I am very curious.
Don't think you guys will get massive amounts if help in here but firstly search for hspl read how to install it, read all steps carefully there is a full step by step guide, then you need to upgrade to latest radio again just search on xda and you will find s step by step guide, then you will need to update the windows mobile Rom process is same as installing a new radio.
Then you will need to download an android build, hyperdroid is very stable,
Android runs purely is your SD card like a virtual machine on your pc,
Spend an hour or two reading,
It's not really a complicated process once you've read around a bit

Wow all these threads asking the same questions. All these members asking us to break it down Barney style!
Look none of this stuff is hard!
They have done most of the hard work for you. All you have to do is read the instructions on the forums!
You don't need Barney to read it to you. You dont need instructions in the form of a cat in the hat book.
I am challenging you to research for yourself!
Give me a honest effort and if that doesn't work you can private message me! But you had better done your home work!
Even if I don't use the rom I read the threads. I follow dcordes,shu8i, cotulla, cyanogen and anyone else with info on twitter. I read most if not all the threads. I am not smart. So if I can do it you can too.
Forgive me for being candid I just felt it needed to be said!

Guys, is it alright if i ask a question?
Why is it not right if we run stock rom with froyostone and radio 12?
Some say it causes problems with the audio. I say bull but I am not running stock winmo. I've always used energy roms. And haven't had a problem!

what are the good things using energy roms?
Well it. Use to be I liked the look and speed and stability. I don't use winmo at all anymore!

I am using Froyostone builds on my stock 1.66 WWE ROM.
All i did to get android running is a new HSPL and a compatible radio.
I have never flashed any custom/cooked ROM on my device.
It runs smoothly on the stock rom and have had no major issues at all..!!
All the best!

Or you can do dualboot wp7 and android like I'm doing. Hopefully soon we will be able to triboot all 3.
It depends on what you want. They are all great OS's. But to run either android or wp7 on your HD2 it will take a lot of reading to learn how to do it and set them up good, because they are ports, so they won't necessarily work great right away. You'll want to set them up good so they don't drain your battery too quick and work around any little issues that may pop up. You should do some reading about both those os's and about how to boot them on your phone, then decide what you want to do. If you're not very experienced with your phone, you should probably just start out with flashing a custom rom and go from there. A step at a time until you're comfortable enough to install magldr and flash android or wp7. You can try them all out and see what you like best. All the info you need is in these forums.

I recommend you try them out.
I would recommend you to try out an android rom, becuase what can you can do on wp7 is really limited, and I think that wp7 is boring (my opinion). If you need help with installing or something feel free to ask

Hi, I downloaded the sense rom, but where is the setup.exe in it? I don't see it anywhere
Thanks!!!......
This guide does not work
looks useful, thx... but the radio changing part is missing
Why would you guys use this guide when there are better ones here on XDA? Most likely, they took that from here too. There are better ROM's on here too v
suweet i will try this out thanks!!
This guide is OK at best (basic) and using this guide only allows you to use DFT builds which are becoming more and more unpopular. CWM is the much perferred and easiest way.
Its been updated to be even easier
I can confirm it works
Hi,
This is (as far as I know) the first dump of wp8. It's based on the 9900 (emulator) build and is meant for cooking roms (for WP7/8 devices)
It has all 51 languages and all 3 screen resolutions
Good luck devs,
Download link:
http://htcfanboys.com/download/sianto1997/?action=view&file=14516
If you use this in a rom, please mention me.
greetz
WOW!Thank you very much!
Do you know that emulator have x86 version of WP8? It's impossible to use it. So your dump is really useless, even more than me.
Shhh... It's easy to dump the emulator, just mount VHD.

Offline ISO weights 1.6GiB. But it's much faster to download using torrent than downloading from unknown hosting.
Sorry but in the future is possible to have a WP8 Rom on a WP 7/7.8 device?

Yes and no. As it's possable to run on the hardware (all 1st gen are the same CPU wise and 2nd gen are pretty close still) and even Microsoft said so, there are no drivers designed for it. Nevermind the OS is designed for a dual core CPU, so performance could be a big hit.
The HD2 was the ONLY Windows Mobile device to get WP7 and the only reason why that is was because Microsoft used the HD2 in testing WP7 and someone "leaked" the drivers needed. If things follow suit, the chances of getting a WP8 rom running on a WP7.5 device might be like finding that needle in a haystack...might happen but, I would not hold my breath.
I also would love to see it tho.....
Longtime lurker. But its time to contribute! I recently bought a TimingPower RK3188 and searched high and low for these tools. After endless hours of searching and translating Chinese and Japanese I brought this little package together to build your own CFW. This probably isn't for complete newbies but I made it as simple as possible. I can confirm it works on my TimingPower RK3188 using Rockchip Batch Tool as well as copying update.img to SD. Anyway, enjoy!
This is what it does:
Extract update.img as well as system.img
Pre-root your firmware
Open system folder to edit your rom
Repack update.img
I cant post links so previews are a no no I guess. Let me know how it works. If this is the wrong section I apologize.
Thanks !!
Would like to bring to your attention (as you seem the only Chef so far) :

Hope you can help contribute to the thread, and possibly have the first full solution, root, CWM, CFW, custom ROM
Thanks! I was looking for a material Quick installation!

Okay Windows 8 users should try this. RAR attached

I am quite happy with them. However, some notes are in order. I received them with firmware 20130715 installed, and that does not support 1080p. The timingpower.com website offers 2 updated images for it, one 20131101, the other 20131104. The 20131101 image has some improvements over the 20130715 version, but still offers only 720p, but the 20131104 version does offer 1080p. I updated both units to the 1104 version, and it went smoothly, but it can be a bit unstable at times. The screen and sound cut out at random intervals, but I got used to that, even thought it is quite annoying. Overall the picture is amazing (i use it on a 65" flat screen). Speed is acceptable, not a gaming computer, but fast enough. Takes a bit to get used to using it, keep wanting to right-click stuff for options, and get dumped back a screen.
Suggest that you get a USB 2 hub (more ports are better). I connected a USB keyboard, USB mouse and USB camera (all cheap, nothing fancy), and they all worked fine. However, the tiny Bluetooth keyboard (IS11-BT05) that I got, doesn't seem to work. It pairs up just fine, and shows as recognized, but after that, nothing.
One caution note: if you do flash your device, make sure that you use a newer computer, with USB 2.0 , really old PC's with USB 1.1 will not work.
Making your own version of the ROM shouldn't be too difficult. Plenty of advise here, and there are even some tools available on the TimingPower site. I'm in the middle of customizing mine, and I have not found it particularly difficult. I mainly want to scrap some of the basic stuff, and make it more sleek (to my tastes). I am also considering incorporating a dual-boot option, for Android <-> Linus (not sure of what flavor yet).
BTW, I have an English translated version of the Chinese RKBatchTool Manual, should anyone need it.
thanks!
KitKat for CS968
I have been using your program to root my CS968 and other rockchip tv boxes running 4.2. I have now installed 4.4 rom, but you program does not work on KitKat. Does anyone know how to root a kitkat rom for my RK3188 CS968? I would be most greatfull.
