Hermes and Jabra BT610 - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I have a Hermes and just got Jabra BT610 stereo bluetooth headsets as a birthday present. However, when I play the music I hear the first few seconds, and then no more. I'm using both Windows Media Player and MortPlayer and they both behave about the same. I'm on ROM version 1.18. Am I doing something stupidly wrong; because I know the big problem I should be facing is the stuttering problem.

Problem with motorola HT820.

Hi,
I have qtek s100 and recently got the motorola HT820.
It all works great with the BT stack which can be found on these boards. I only have one problem noone else seems to have - I cannot pause a song :'(.
I can control volume, skip to previous or next song, stop song and even play again after stopped.
But if I'm currently playing a song and I press the pause button on my headset it'll freeze and close WMP.
I've tried hard resetting - upgrading to radio 1.13 so I'm giving up.
Anyone have any suggestions?
THANKS.
Have you tried Mortplayer instead of WMP? It's got much better soundquality & supports more formats & maybe the pause button works with your headset.
M
ADPD or what's it's called is only supported by WMP but what the people on these boards say... no?
Must confess I haven't tried myself. I got A2DP & Mortplayer, but no BT stereo headset.
Mortplayer is free though, so you can give it a try.
M
Hmm, I might. Do you have any buttons that work with mortplayer?
There are no buttons on my regular wired stereo headphone. Only a 2.5mm -> 3.5mm jack converter.
So I really can't tell. Try a pm to WvanWaas, I know he's got a stereo BT headset (HT-820 :!: ) & the A2DP stereo BT patch & it works for him.
Hmm, mortplayer doesn't play wma.. anyone else know something?

Jabra BT620 and Cingular 8525 issues

I have a problem with my bt620 working with WMP. The controls work fine but no audio will come out of the headset. I have applied the a2dpfix with all the registry hacks. My rom version is cingular 1.34. I use TCMP player to stream my sirrus and it works great with no problems and no skipping. I just can't get it to work with WMP for anything. Any ideas?
I am having the same problem as well... anyone got this working yet?
Are you trying to play videos or this is happening while playing mp3s?
I'm asking you this cause I can listen mp3 in WMP without a problem, but when I play a video, the sound is played through the phone's speaker.
One more thing, when you stream audio through the net, do the bt headphones work? cause mine don't .
PS: I have the Plantronics Pulsar 260

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand]
"LaunchAPEnable"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand]
"VoiceCmdDuration"=dword:99999
or use this cab, its the same!!
rom is the latest official wm6. how i check radio? oh cool, i'll try out that cab dude, and post here the results
not working bro. shudnt my pda restart after installing that cab? i installed in main memory, and i'm now using my headphones. still got the problem. your registry tweaked the voice commander, my problem is with the bluetooth. 0_o
as in, i listen to music using my bluetooth headset, i hear
EXAMPLE: BONJOVI'S ITS MY LIFE
Its my ..(no sound suddenly).........Now and never, i aint gonna live forever!
the sound is lost but the music is still playing
Getting the same problem with iTech R35 bluetooth stereo headphones and offical Dopod WM6 upgrade (ROM 3.00.707.17 / Radio 1.46.00.11).
The headphones were working fine for the last 6 months with decent sound quality after pairing. Ever since I upgraded to WM6, either the headphones or the phone are dropping the BT connection after random intervals of between 5 minutes - 30 minutes. i.e. the sound suddenly cuts off even though the PDA is still playing music and everything seems to still be connected ( the BT icon is still displayed in the taskbar). If I re-pair again, it comes back for a short while, but then always cuts off again
This is the exact same problem I have with my R35 and WM6. I have figured out a way to make it cut out on a song (a different format wma). if i just play mp3s it will start to skip and then cut out completely after a random time. So I think its WMP I tried different radios and it still doesn't work....
help us anyone!
I posted a thread but no one was able to help...

I don't think it's a WMP problem, since I generally don't use that app. It's dropping for me with Resco Pocket Radio and CorePlayer.
Getting fed up with Dopod firmware. First, it was the 'no-bass' problem with the previous ROM. Now, it's this problem...! Can't they just release firmware without MAJOR bugs in it?!
I don't want to suggest this but do you think it has something to do with the itech clips?
when i use my BT stereo headset (plantronics pulsar 260) the music stopped sometimes, like described above.
when i disconnect my headset, the music plays normally over the phone speaker. no problem at all.
i guess its just another bluetooth problem.
when my phone is in my right pocket, and the receiver of my BT-set is in my left pocket, my body is between them, it gives the same problem( i am on my ATB at the time, moving)
very strange.....and no, i dont have any metal in my body. ;-)
Hi,
I'm using Touch 1.2 U-Clip and I have the exact same problem. So it's not just with i-Tech. I hope someone will find a solution for this problem.
Think its the Bluetooth stack
I am having the exact same frustrating problem - after checking to see if it was a Dopod error (tried closing down everything else on the PPC, tried other wired headsets), I have come to the conclusion it is something in WM6 Bluetooth, as I did not have this problem in the previous WM5 on the same machine with the smae Blueant Stereo headphones - mind you with WM6, I have full function with the Media Player, that is I can pause, next track, etc, whereas I couldnt do this with the WM5 version. WM5 had a really annoying high pitched whine, otherwise worked a treat.
So, in short WM6 has fixed the whine, has brought full features to the headset, but skips (blanks) the songs. Just before each "blank" I have noticed that it sounds like the song slows up - much like an old tape player running our of battery.
Now, I have no idea how/where/who to fix this, so anybody with even half a clue, please let all of us know, this is getting quite maddening!

bump for the thread. and yea man, i have the same prob. its like a battery dead sound, as the song goes out of tune etc
a slightly different problem
i use the INDIGO LITE rom, and i use OMIZ 5110 stereo headset, and i dont have the skiping problems described here, however since upgrading to WM6 the sound quality is terrible, i feel like tori amos is singing in my bathroom (which if was true could be really great) but alas, its just crappy sound quality... i tried changing the registry BITPOOL to 58 and played with all the values there known to man (at least to THIS man) but nothing helps...
Going by the devices that have this 'dropping sound' problem, it seems to only be affecting A2DP stereo bluetooth headsets paired with WM6 Trinity devices. Or are regular bluetooth mono headsets affected as well?
Personally havent paired a mono headset, but the problem I am having is definitely a stereo one! Any solution as opposed to taking to the machine with an axe?
Anyone found a solution yet?????? Please!!!!
I am also having the same sound dropping problems.
I have the same problem as well. I have just upgraded my rom to official WM6 rom. I'm using iTech Clip Radio.

problem with bluetooth headset!

I have used several bt headsets (mono, not stereo) and all of them have the following issue (currently I use nokia BH104 and samsung HM1500):
A. No sound is forwarded from the hd2 music player, windows media player, tcpmp player to any of the headsets.!! Please help!
I have original rom on the hd2
Notice that all the BT headsets receive and send calls and are coupled with the mobile with no problems. I have checked the option to forward all system sounds to the headset but nothing changes for that.
(not to mention that n81 and omniaII and omniaI do forward sound played by any of the music to the same headset SO I guess its not BT headsets problem)
Any solution or suggestion would be much appreciated.
thanks!
