i've trying to find a working kitchen (preferrably Ervius) with the latest WM6.5 Build with 407 (German Language). I also tried to get this done myself about 10 times - with no success.
Could anyone please upload a package with the desired features, or post a link to a working tut with all needed resources - and yes i used the search function. I just want to make sure not to brick my device by using my own incomplete software.
If someone could be so kind and upload a fully stripped WM6.5 rom (latest release) in German for Polaris i would be deeply grateful.

PS: at the moment i use pcarvalho's 3.19 rom. maybe he is able to provide a localised (407) wm6.5 for polaris without spending too much time in it.....

download latest mega german rom....dump it and you have all ext apps......download a rollup on Da_G´s thread and you have all German files...and you must recmod the sys files (over 530 modul´s the rom is not working

Post #2 of Da_G's thread at XDA has a lot of good info.
SOHKis and I were discussing this in the VK Tips thread and decided it warranted a thread of it's own.
The basic idea is to compile a list of what files should be recmodded and which should be modules.
From what I understand (please correct me if I am wrong), resource files should remain modules so that they will get allocated for another slot besides 0. I am going to try and recmod some files in the system and look at them with a resource explorer (PE Explorer has been suggested) to see what's what.
The following list is a work in progress. If there are any issues after recmodding these, please post your results and I will update the list.

PS I don't use .ReadAllBytes method to search a pattern. Sometimes i use it when i need to keep something in memory.

I don't remember what it exactly does since it's stuff from several months ago but it should be code that is related to the new slots allocation that can be found only on windows mobile 6.5 kernels.

You certainly do but for first-time users it's not so immediate understanding that each device requires its own native kernel, that the kernel is specifically compiled for the windows mobile version it came with and that even though an old kernel may work on newer windows mobile builds the kitchen needs to know the version of the native kernel to do the proper slots allocation and if it's not chosen correctly the ROM could not work. If you auto-detect the kernel and remove the kernel selection option (that in the case of your kitchen being only labeled WM6.1/WM6.5 I think may confuse users into thinking the option has to do with the windows mobile version rather than the native kernel version) you can remove a considerable burden from beginners.

These kinda developers can build a windows 7 for a 256MB RAM 1.2GHz System. Hats off to you sir! Due to you only I can show off my streak5 to a galaxy note owner with full confidence and comparable performance! Now I started believing that streak5 is the most optimum device to run ANY Android build successfully! though I don't like the iPhone interface and hence MIUI, m on CM7 and more than happy with what I had ever expected for!

I didn't do anything.
I just contact the developers and write some post about ROMs before hPa come here. That's what I did it so I didn't do anything about ROM.

If rom can rotate screen 180 degree by build.prop (ro.sf.hwrotation=180), above patch will work properly. but If not(maybe most roms...), you will need MIUI's added kernel patch.
So for more compatibility, you will need MIUI's patch too.
It seems that Dell Streak's LCD been rotated 180 degree. and touch driver source's default setting is for landscape.
So first, I define TOUCH_FB_PORTRAIT for portait touch. then second, I rotate touch 180 degree. (because touch panel been rotated 180 degree with LCD.)
Finally I rotate screen use ro.sf.hwrotation option in build.prop.
(and because miui doesn't support ro.sf.hwrotation=180, I modified some lcd registers.)

So I've just noticed my Nexus 4 running CM 10.2 seems to automatically download a file named "st", I think just about everytime I go to yahoo answers, after the file downloads my phone reboots.
I pasted the content of said file below .... can ANYBODY tell me wtf this is or why its downloading it?

I'm on to something.... This file only downloads if I'm on a yahoo answers website on chrome or chrome beta...
Edit: Uninstalling Adaway /ad blocker seems to have stopped it from downloading on yahoo answeres/yahoo ads websites
