notifications/ringtones problem

problem. before the 107 update my ringtones and notifications played fine. after the update it doesnt. they break off, sound comes distorted, drives me crazy. i reverted back to 27 (like before the last update) and its fine again. does anyone have this problem? any permanent solutions? thanks
BTW, as a temporary fix, if i toggle the bluetooth off and on, it will fix the problem for a while, but then it will happen again.
Have you tried unmounting your SD card, going to notifications, verifying that they're gone, then re-mounting it? (Might also want to reseat just in case).
If you have something A2DP connected, this can happen, but in general, I haven't noticed it much. How are your ringtones encoded?

I've experienced this issue also. It only happens when I'm connected to another device through bluetooth.
I've been contemplating reverting back to DG27 also, but for other reasons. Ever since the update, Android System Process keeps the phone from sleeping properly. I'm getting half the battery I was getting before.

[Q] Fascinate Randomly Soft Reboot

I've been having this problem for about a month now. The phone would soft reboot. I think it soft reboots because I see the following:
1. Phone locks up for a few seconds.
2. All apps restart including my LauncherPro.
3. All widgets try to update.
4. Cell Signal is lost for a few seconds.
5. Media Scanner starts to scan for media files.
6. I hear the boot sound, eventhough the phone doesn't completely reboot.
My phone is rooted and has Voodoo V0.2 Kenrel installed (not the OC one).
I also noticed that it soft reboots more often after I turn Bluetooth off in my car when the phone is connected to the car stereo and streaming audio.
I wonder if anyone know what is wrong with my phone or if they have experienced this issue before on the Samsung Fascinate or any other android phone.
I see the same thing sometimes when turning off bluetooth when connected to my car stereo. In addition to the symptoms you mentioned, I hear the boot sounds, even though the phone doesn't appear to completely restart. My phone is completely stock, never rooted.
Yes, I do hear the boot sound too. I forgot to mention that.
Maybe try one of Dirk's D02 kernels? My phone soft rebooted yesterday, but that was because I flashed the ota radio. It's been fine since.
However, it COULD be a problem with the DI01 update, since it is happening to a non-rooter as well.
Just some thoughts.
Sent from my Fascinate using the XDA app
This issue has been fixed in the DJ05 update.

HD2 Freezes When Screen Turns Off With Bluetooth Off

Hi all,
I'm getting a very wierd error that started the other day when I was using the radio on Darkstone's SuperRAM Android build (not the NAND version). When turning on the radio in this build it automatically turns bluetooth on, after I was finished using it I switched off (and disabled bluetooth).
Ever since, if I try to use the phone with bluetooth off and the screen goes in to sleep mode, the phone freezes up completely (hardware button lights don't turn on either); I have to either use the hard reset button or pull the battery to get the phone to turn back on.
The wierd thing is, if I have bluetooth switched on, it works fine (but drains the battery a lot faster than normal). It is also not just related to android, I tried it in the windows mobile rom I was running (OzDroid) and have even converted over to Magldr and a NAND edition of Android and still get the same problem...
Any ideas!?
Same problem here.
I know that I used Pocket Mechanic to repair my registry and after that it started to happen. Hard reset and the problem still persists.
Update
Problem solved!!! It was SpriteBackup Restore Settings:

Device crashes when alarm goes off, won't turn on without hard reset

Hey guys, I got my Nexus 4 about 2 weeks ago. Love the device, and haven't had any problems until recently. I set alarms to wake myself up in the morning. When it comes time for the alarm to go off, the device fails to ring, and when I attempt to turn it on, it fails to work. I have to hard reset it in order for it to turn back on. Do keep in mind, that I use multiple alarms, so the device's screen is always off when this happens. I also have installed JuiceDefender, and I think that might be a possible cause for this crash (I will have to do some trials). I did a search on the forums, and haven't quite found anything specifically related to this, just yet. I've read some things about wake locks, but I don't really know much about them.
Is anybody else experience this issue? I am on 4.2.1 stock everything. I have JuiceDefender Ultimate, and I believe it may be a source for the issue. But I will have to test further. Any ideas?
Thanks, in advance!
