Hi guys.
All of a sudden out of the blue my wifi keeps trying to start and connect, even if i turn it off after 5 seconds it will come back on again.
I havent done anything to the phone, (i.e no new apps etc) anyone else experienced this?

Hey Everyone,
I currently running Artemis_v100_WWE_210_23563 on my HD2, everything is going great except the YouTube app. Every time i try to play a video it seems to state "Connection failed. Please try again." only while I'm connect to wifi. Seems to work with my EDGE though for a little while and then it keeps showing that message. I've noticed if i hard reset my phone, it works amazingly for a good hour and then, if i trigger the wifi off, and use EDGE it starts causing issues, and when i try to re-enable wifi and use YouTube, it fails and never work again. Every time i hard reset the phone it seems to solve the problem for a little while, and then it goes back to the usual message.
I did not install anything on the phone when this occurred, and also turned off my network and only had wifi and its not working. It will work for a while like i stated with no network off immediately after i hard reset my phone but after i turn off the wifi and turn it back on it doesn't seem to work.
My internet and all other things work on the phone perfectly fine. Has anyone encountered this issue?
Current YouTube Version is 2.6
Anyone got any ideas?
anyone got any ideas yet? i update and downgraded my rom and installed the new rom V11 and still occurs, works for only a little while and now it doesnt
my does the same thing i want to know why too

I had this same problem... I had to delete a proxy registry entry for it to work correctly! I forget which one... Do a search for it and you should find it here in the forums...
Hi guys,
this is my first time using these forums and I wouldn't have done that if the problem was easily solvable. However, this is a major problem for me and I couldn't find a thread nor a solution to it, so I'll post it here.
I have the i9305 4G version of the S3. I have had it for about a month now, and it worked fine, up until now. The phone suddenly starts to restart itself (not reboot!) for about 10 seconds, then goes back to the dashboard.
The problem seems to be the WiFi. Right after I get the "Connected to ... network" message on the bottom of the screen, the phone vibrates immensely once, then everything freezes for a few seconds, then another 2-3 vibrations, before the Samsung logo comes up with the LED light on. After a few seconds again I'm back in the dashboard until I get the "Connected to ..." message, and so on the process repeats itself.
Turning off WiFi seems to solve the issue, but once I turn it on again the problem reoccurs.
Something else I've noticed is that if I have WiFi turned off and cellular data network (for instance 4G) turned on, the "4G", "H+" etc. logo does not appear, even though I'm connected to cellular data! Don't know if it can be related to my main problem.
I have tried everything I'm aware of. Unplugging the battery, factory reset and back up, hard reset, wipe cache pertition. After the factory reset I can use WiFi again, but only for a few hours until the problem reoccured. I THINK once my battery is fully charged the problem occurs.
Note: I haven't even touched stock ROM, kernel etc. Nothing is flashed. Phone is in the same condition as when it came out of the box. Android version: JB 4.1.1
I would be forever grateful if you could help me out here, I can't have a phone restarting itself and vibrating like crazy every 10-15 seconds.
(Sorry in advance if this was the wrong place for this thread.)

UPDATE:
Seems like my issue isn't just related to Wifi. Cellular data network was actually related to my issue, as I first feared. If Wifi is turned off and cellular data turned on, the same thing happens. Seems like the issue occurs every time I try to use the internet either way.
Anyhow, if I let the phone reboot itself without turning on or off anything at all, it will reboot about 5 times until either Wifi or cellular doesn't work anymore even though the status bar tells me that it is turned on!
This seems to be a serious connectivity issue and for the first time I'm suspecting interference with the phone's wireless network hardware. If none of you are able to provider an answer, I guess I have no choice but to hand it in to get it repaired or replaced.
Still noone who has a solution to my problem?

My solution to your problem would be to just bring it to whoever you bought it from and demand a replacement. That isn't normal behaviour.
you can boot into recovery and do a factory reset and cache wipe
if wiping does not solve your problem, just return your phone.
I don't know if this is related, but, I had this issue once (the cause is not wifi though), and samsung fixed (or replaced) my phone.

I'd wipe the phone and return it. This is not normal behaviour and should fall under warranty... Wiping might fix but this may happen again if there is an inherent problem with your handset....
Hey guys, I got my Nexus 4 about 2 weeks ago. Love the device, and haven't had any problems until recently. I set alarms to wake myself up in the morning. When it comes time for the alarm to go off, the device fails to ring, and when I attempt to turn it on, it fails to work. I have to hard reset it in order for it to turn back on. Do keep in mind, that I use multiple alarms, so the device's screen is always off when this happens. I also have installed JuiceDefender, and I think that might be a possible cause for this crash (I will have to do some trials). I did a search on the forums, and haven't quite found anything specifically related to this, just yet. I've read some things about wake locks, but I don't really know much about them.
Is anybody else experience this issue? I am on 4.2.1 stock everything. I have JuiceDefender Ultimate, and I believe it may be a source for the issue. But I will have to test further. Any ideas?
Thanks, in advance!
hi guys, been having problems with my wifi not turning for a couple of days. when i hit the button in the notification bar it turns a dim green, then turns back off. i have tried restarting, taking battery out, i rooted my phone and changed the name of wpa supplicant in data/misc/wifi. i even installed cyanogenmod and nothing has seemed to work. the most common fix appears to be removing the battery but its not doing anything for me and i dont really have any ideas as to what i could do. any ideas or links for a solution would be greatly appreciated

If flashing a new ROM doesn't work, then something serious is up. Try flashing stock firmware and I'm guessing if that doesn't work it could be a hardware problem

okay i will try that, i was on unrooted stock android when i started having this problem but maybe going back will fix it. i recently got the phone from bestbuy as a geek squad replacement so could it just be a bad phone? wifi worked at first but maybe something came loose inside
Hey,
I was wondering if some one knows a solution to my problem cuz it is bugging me out I have to restart the phone two tree times a day.
So basically on random occasions my drop down menu (clock/battery/sygbal etc) will stop working and I can't pull it down, I even had it stick twice when it was pulled down I was not able to pull it back up but the small portion from the background I had left was working. So in all situations in order to make it work again I have to restart the phone. The phone it self works I can call I can do anything but I can't pull the menu up or down. If for some reason I by mistake close the phone app wile talking I am unable to pull it back up and I can't close the conversation, I can talk but I cannot hang up or do anything with it.
I was wondering if some one has expiriance something like this if so if they figured out a fix, and if some one has any suggestions how to fix it?
I have nothing special on my phone it's not rooted or anything, I have mostly Google apps and some social media like tweeter etc.
Thank you in advance for your time and help.
