More than likely you are running T-Mobiles Stock ROM
which is slow and useles, and very outdated.
OTP7 you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421304
Make sure you read the instructions carefully

videos dont save after pdaviet rom upgrade

I have realized that my wing dooesnt save the videos that I recorded, which after I ve upgraded my rom to pdaviet. im sure that's a setting to do so. can someone help me out?
What video player are you using? Try installing a different video player.
TCMP is one of the favorites out there.
so wut u saying is after install tcpmp , my phone will save the file(video ) that i recorded on my camera automatically..rite?
haha. My bad .. I only slept 4 hrs last nite ... and its already 1am ... I for some reason thought you wrote that they don't PLAY.
Go into your camera settings, and make sure everything is ok in there. Are you sure its just not saving to some random place in ur phone or storage card.
nope....everything is okie...nothing in the folder. it save pics tho..it's weird..oh by the way , my gurl has a wing too and hers dont even save neither..
we both use the same pdaviet 's rom.
Switch over to the Touch IT rom
The first Rom I ever flashed was PDAVIET, but you have no idea how much better the TouchIT 4.x Rom is.
These are the 3 things you are going to need.
HARD-SPL
Touch-IT v4.4 and 4.41 WWE P4350
KEYBOARD FIX for WING / HERALD & ROMS
I'll help you out if you have any questions.
yeh i had ppl to me that it's a good one. i'd like to do that...but one thing..i'm like a newbie..lol..never flash..i used the file u posted in the pdaviet thread..is that anyway that u can put everything together ? or i have to flash back to tmobile factory rom?
You should go ahead and flash the Tmo Rom just to be on the safe side.
If you want, I'll walk you thru the process. Send me an IM

rom on storage card

is there any way to run a rom on the storage card insted of on the device its self???
or if not what files and folders could i move to my storage card because im haveing a really really bad memory leak. i mean it goes from having like 25mb free all the way down to like 4mb free and it will do that in less then a days time. i dont really know what to do to either stop it or maybe slow it down.
any help at all would be great thanks
oh also i am using the stock tmo rom
2.26.20.2WWE
radio 02.25.11
prtocol 4.1.13.12
extrom 2.26.10.105
ipl 3.08
spl 3.08
Your problem is the T-Mobile ROM. The carrier ROMs have HUGE memory leaks, that at this time cannot be fixed. I suggest that you upgrade to one of the new WinMo 6 or 6.1 ROMs, they are faster, more compatable, and solve the memory leak problem.
were can i get a stock winmo rom from that doesnt have a bunch of bs on it
Well, I would go with the latest version of the TNT ROM. Its pretty much considered the best, but if you want some variety in your programs, then go with S.V.I.s HORNET V0.5, as its got the most usefull program set out of all of them.
I can understand your wanting a ROM that doesnt have alot of programs in it, and I am sorry to say that there really isnt one anymore that is really minimal, but the 2 that I just told you about are still quite fast and stable with the programs that they inlcude, and they dont have any kind of crapware like the T-Mobile and other carrier ROMs have.
After you download a ROM, use the Wizard Service Tool to find out if you have a G3 or G4 Wizard, then read the appropriate guide to see how to flash it, or ask back here for more info. Happy flashing!
I read that the best way to get a base rom is to cook your own using FARIA but i have never tried cooking a rom before so idk if it would be a good idea for me or not i mean i got my wizard for free but i really dont feel like bricking it because i didnt do something right...
how easy is it to cook a base rom using FARIA
Meh, cooking isnt that hard, but if you plan on making your own, start with a newer kitchen as the Faria one is 2-3 years old now. Just read the instructions with whatever kitchen you use, and FOLLOW THEM TO A "T", if something is not matching the instructions STOP, and you should be fine.
which kitchen would you suggest for me to use since im a first time cooker
also do you live in florence ky if so what part cuz i live in villa hills

Complete noob need help in updating to windows 6.5

Okk i hav just got my htc touch hd and want to update it to windows 6.5 all the stuff here is damn confusing like in a nutshell
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.14.0000
MicroP-BlackStone (LED) v6
this is wat i get wen i switch on the mobile by pressing the volume button.
I hav gone through the "[TUT] Dummies guide: flashing 1.56+ roms [v 2.0] - [HSPL][USPL]"
for starters which method is better for me HSPL or USPL also to wat i cud understand HSPL seems better but i dont get wat this means in the procedure "A 1.56+ based rom- Dutty's latest rom" 2nd step in the guide why is this done i wanna update to 6.5 so which file shud i select frm tht post there r so many.
Am so condused this is nothing lik hacking and modifying psp i dont wanna brick ma htc touch hd so not takin any rash deicisions and goin wid the update
Plzzz tell me how shud i go about this.
As you have not modified your phone the first thing you need to do is update your ROM using the official updated ROM from HTC you can download this from www.HTC.com it's the new 1.56 one you need.
After you have done this you can either use HSPL or USPL to flash a custom ROM to your phone neither is better than the other. In short USPL lets you flash without changing your SPL and is easier to restore to factory if it goes faulty. HSPL is easier is you flash alot of ROMs as you can just flash without running USPL. The procedure for both are in the Threads in the ROM forum
As for picking a ROM thats entirely up to you i cant tell you which is better than which but i can tell you that i use duttys and have no issues.
If you have anymore questions just give me a shout

You could try NRG28 ROM its pretty slick although a little heavy on battery, as the above poster I am also on Duttys 6.5 ROM, R9, its very stable.
If you dont like the standard setup check the themes available and also the (post your screens) in themes thread you will be surprised what some people can do.
You shouldnt have to flash a different radio unless your having problems with connections etc
Start with the ROMs then work from there
I don't know if this has been answered yet, but will SIP-backup restore my text-messages if I backup my WM6.1 and restore it in WM6.5?

Thanks! I meant PIM backup, so that's what I'll use, next step is to download Dutty's WM6.5
Well lol i tried all 3 roms by Miri, Dutty, and NRG28 and by far jst love the interface of NRG28 aesthetically amazin to look at though battery drain is alot but if you are a show off like me this is gonna be a complete eye pleaser to all the ladies plus its got all the stuff u need jst a few extra addition lik WinVibe pro player as only this has tempo adjustment and repeats the same song again and again, a comic book reader , divx player, omniano, core player, keep bluechatting and well thts about it though i did lik Duttys home screen the way shortcuts can be added dere but thn again i feel its kinda small lik am seein the screen of a htc diamond maybe ma imagination but i lik ma screen long and wide lol.
Anways thanks for all ur help dude u guys rock helped me get the hang of all this mannn was kinda scared in the beginnin of screwin up the mobile or certain function becomin obsolete lik wifi , gps etc lol know i am cool as a button hehehe

[Q] XDA pr0s, gods! pls help the Rookiee!

hello to everyone, i have hd2 phone with 6.5 windows mobile OS. I want to know if there is someone here, that is brave, good, and that knows to tell me something about win7, and that i can trust him... i dont want to risc, and trust other forums...
so... i want to install win7 on my hd2, is it really possible, and how exacly to do that.... thx for ur help, dont hurt my feelings
Installing WP7 on your HD2 is more than easy.
Manual: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=912416
After installing it's best to test it for some minutes or hours and make your own picture of this OS. If you decide to use it further you have to activate it:
Manual: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928695
Please backup you SDcard before flashing WP7 as the tutorial says.
I you never flashed a phone before, i want you to say, that there is no risk to break your phone, if you do anything wrong while flashing. and everything is reversable, you only have to flash original windows mobile 6.5 rom and everything is the same like before.
I used android for 1 month and then decided to test WP7. Before i used it, i thought it is nothing against android, but after it started and i looked around i really fell in love with this operating system. It's simple and fast and that's why it's soooo cool! I would say it's worth to test it and if you like it, it is stable for everyday use.
Do it and you will know what i mean
If you have further problem just ask in this thread or pm me, i'm glad to help you!
Greez
thx good m8, u realy helped me ) ... i wanted to flash it before, but then i saw that someone posted on internet that u can destroy your phone by flashing it, so i must do it on my own risc, so i got a bit unsure... anyway, thanks again for ur help, and i will ask u, if i need something to know... if im allowed by u, ofc

[Q] Hyperdroid questions

first of all, thanks to 'everyone' on these forums
too much reading !....but worth it...thanks
so..
Im gonna buy a HD2 soon
will use Android on it ofc
I've been using Samsung i5700....installed Rom n stuff...so this stuff is familiar
...
...
HyperDroid seems good enough
all the instructions are here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7909725&postcount=2
and the new update is this I guess http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026
are those links the right ones?
..
and, is there something I can skip from the first link and jump right into the latest stuff(from the second link)?
another thing...I'm currently in the Middle East, and will buy the HD2 from here....thats not a problem right?....I've heard stuff like 'It should be a UK version'
last question...about the storage....is there anything I need to know about it?....because I had some "low storage" problems with i5700 regarding apps.....problem was solved by using apps2sd ....any problem like that on HD2?
(yes I read the FAQ, theres something written about it, but Im not sure...I didnt understand)
..
(I got so many questions solved by reading/searching.....I didnt find answers to these question so thats why Im asking em here)
thanks
Hi there,
You are more or less correct. The links for the ROM is in the 1st post. 2nd post are the FAQ.
I recommend you search the HD2 Toolkit by ksubedi. It simplifies a lot of things in installing Hyperdroid (or any ROM). The latest version being the 5.3.0
Any HD2 is okay. I'm using Asian model. more it less the same. The US model has 1 gb mem, where ours are 512(or 576)MB.
hope this help.

The steps are really simple.. (made a guide myself, check my signature)
- Install hspl 2.08
- Install radio 2.15
- Install magldr or Clk
- Install the right cwm partition
If you need any further help, feel free to PM me.
You will get at least 500 mb of storage.. which is great, unless if you're like me which has over 120 apps/games. I use app2sd. No problems.
You can partition your sdcard from cwm, very easy. Then your rom will automatically recognize it. Everything is very simple, but when your new, it may look a bit hard..
Like I said, feel free to PM if you need help.
Thanks.
hmmm....well thanks a lot .....I'll let u know how it went
