TVU Mobile - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

i've been hunting around looking for a windows version of either sopcast or tvu and it looks like TVU have produced a mobile version (just about to try it) but here's the link..
TVU is a streaming media player which shows channels from all over the world. Star sports shows live premiership football matches (channel 10006)
http://pages.tvunetworks.com/labs/mobile.html
Edit: tried it, and it works, it's still in early stages so it's a bit choppy/laggy but on my pc it takes a good 5-10 minutes to "catch up" and work fluently so the mobile version will probably take longer (i've been watchin the bolton v arsenal game for around 5 minutes and it's not caught up yet but it seems to be getting quicker)

Good stuff, i've been waiting for an app like this for a while, I hope sopcast make one too!

yeah hopefully,
with this though, although it says it works on HTC Diamond, it seems like the bitrate is too high to play at decent quality.... hope they sort it out

i just downloaded this and when i start the app up in the start menu i just get 2 empty tables with channel number/name in them, i put 10006 into the channel number and press play but nothing happens! Anyone have any ideas as to how i can get something to happen?

mee too nothing happens when i press play anyone plz help

i got core player renamed install directory TCPMP and its playing a lot better, then it did with TCPMP.

hey..hecatombercm how did you do this......."i got core player renamed install directory TCPMP and its playing a lot better, then it did with TCPMP"
any help would be appreciated

i just renamed the directory in programs that core was installed too. but eventually the stream would just stop. I wish there was more development on TVU its a fun app, but some of my favorite channels are no longer available.

do you guys think that this will work on my Sprint HTC Hero?

MySpace Music Mobile - BETA

Hey everyone!
Some of you may have seen me on the boards before, I'm Anthony, the guy who runs YouTube Pocket. As of recently I have been working on MySpace Music Mobile. It's in a BETA stage, so please let me know if you have any problems with it. Check it out with the link below:
MySpace Music Mobile
Before people ask, you will need to install TCPMP and follow the directions for this to work, and WMP does not like the format. Also, Playlists are stored by cookies, so make sure you don't have them disabled.
Thanks in advance for the feedback!

My Space Mobile Rocks!!!!!!
Just want everyone to know that this My Space Mobile music set up is awsome. Anthony great work. It plays seemless on TCPMP with no hiccups
on my tmobile dash. Guys you got to try this out!!!!!!! I'm streaming Boney
James smooth jazz as I post. Point your phone to http://msm.gopckt.com/
and listen to the magic.
You're awesome!
Thank you so much!
It works great for me so far.
Haha, awesome! I'm really glad to hear things are working perfectly for everyone! I spent alot of time bug testing this befre releasing the beta. I work at a Best Buy Mobile and we have a bluetooth speaker alarm clock demo, so I just set up playlists, stream them to the alarm clock and put the phone back in it's pouch and walk around the department
Yes, it works perfect on my Dash. I think you've started a movement with this. I think this will be very popular with most due to how easy it is. I like your You Tube Pocket set up also with the exception that TCPMP seems to buffer too much during the stream. So i just download the video to phone and
watch without the buffering. Keep up the good work man!!!
OMG! You are great for making this possible!
Since i see that myspace is now workable, i cant help but ask that you do the same with Soundclick.com, thatd be the perfect for me
Its a user driven site with artist page, but way more original content
works great man
I think next I may try to tackle MySpace Mobile since their site seemed to only last 10 minutes haha
dude this is GREAT !!!
Coreplayer?
Does anyone know how to play playlist(m3u) with coreplayer?
I can play single songs but not playlist...
It shows "Unauthorized request"
thanks!
Playlists should work with Coreplayer now
Kewl, will also review it in my forthcoming, kick-ass Multimedia Bible!
Awesome man!
I am cleaning it up as we speak, I am also redoing YouTube Pocket and Veoh Pocket, and adding a pocket version of SeeqPod.

anxious to get seeqpod!
Can someone upload it again?

WM 6.1 ROM - A Good Media Player?

Hello,
I just purchased a Mogul. My first task was to apply the official Sprint WM6.1 update, which applied with no trouble.
I am now looking for a media player that will play videos I have converted for an Ipod Touch. Windows Media player does not do it. So I tried a version of TCPMP for WM, but it won't even come up.
So I bit the bullet and purchased a licensed copy of the CorePlayer. This is supposed to be the best their is, but it freezes up when I play most video files, including simple MPEG1 files. I suspect it has not been tested extensively on WM6.1
So .. is there any other media player I can try?
There is a new version of TCPMP posted here on the forum - with source code. You need to get that and you also need to extract 2 DLLs from WM5 into you windows directory. This will allow you to play all wma files (otherwise TCPMP won't even see them). If you can't find either of these files, let me know and I'll post links to them sometime in the next couple days.
ALSO, you will need to customize TCPMP to set the buffer settings that work best on your phone. In general the phones are a step back from pure PDAs like a circa 2005 Toshibe e750, but you can get them to play without skipping if you balance them right and/or select low quality playback in TCPMP.
TCPMP is nice, but after trying Core I stuck with that. I like the more refined look, and the equalizer has a few more sliders.
Both are great though.

I'll willingly purchase but would love to first see a full listing of the changes to see what I am getting for my buck. Have you seen any comparisons or could you do a fuller review yourself?

Where can i find those 2 dll files? i've installed the correct version which works on 6.1 but the movies i've played, skipped... Do anyone have an idea what i can do, so that the movies played correct? What settings do i have to change?
well this costs 20.00 but i truly think it is, hands down, the best audio player you will get (not best video) but for audio it is extremely nice. http://www.conduits.com/news/pr20080820.html

That's a $25 commercial program. I hope this file is only the 30-day trial.

The built in browser/music player can STREAM AUDIO

Holy crap guys.
Found this works from trying a site on another thread.
I went to http://bol.cnet.com on the browser
then i clicked on "download today's podcast" just after the little paragraph, a box popped up saying it's "opening podcast.cnet.com...." then bam it starts playing RIGHT AWAY in the built in music player!
And no, it doesn't download and play it, it streams it, you can fast forward to the end right away.
I tried it with the other episodes, works just awesome!
EDIT:
I been messing around.
Looks like ANY URL that points to a .mp3 when you click it, it will automatically play in the built in Music Player

Hold up - lemme test this as it is pertinent to my interests.
1) Went to mynorthwest.com to hear this TBTL show from Seattle I dig when the local talk radio is driving me mad and need a break
(show not live atm, so went to archives) Play now option doesnt work - I blame the pop up window they used.
The download it option - SUCCESS, streamed immediately.
2) Went to thestreamcenter.com/PDA/?state=MO (which is bookmarked on the Wing so I can play local radio on demand). Tried 4 different stations - webkit downloaded the asf file and when clicked to play was given a "Cannot Play Video" error. FAILURE.
3) Clicked a random radio station link from the above site, only showed the giftwrapped ? for where flash is needed. I blame the webdesigner for not being mobile compatible raather than android on that one.
So since your d/l of a podcast worked, and my d/l of a saved program worked: I see podcast capability. I have to yet been able to get live streaming audio, someone figure this out and post their results.
I tried to listen to a shoutcast stream and it said size couldn't be determined... I don't think we will see it integrated into the browser... I think it is gonna be a standalone streamer for shoutcast style streams.
I cant stream with Jinzora and it uses lots of different methods like m3u, pls, ask, ram, and xspf. Does anyone know how to get these filetypes to stream to the g1?
I just tried this also and it works perfect. Now only if there was a way to save some songs
I'm not happy that radioio.com/io2go doesnt stream, even though they have mp3 format option.
probably G1 only can "stream" archives, not live
tried .ram, .asx, .m3u, .pls, no luck at all
could someone try this site for me please? this will play a big part in me buying a g1 if it can stream from thus radio station although it uses a pop up amd is live so doubt it will work :/
http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/
link is on top right to listen to station
Nope doesnt work, bbc radio requires real player.
grrrrr and am i right in thinking it does not have fm radio???
WTF
I've had my g1 for 2 days, figured out last night that it wont stream. uh why ?
my crappy old htc s620 was a stream machine , live streams podcasts anything. So is there any update on this ?
don't diss the dash lol, I'm gonna keep my eye out for streaming web sites, a thread with compatible links would be great. there are plenty of apps like "sreamfurious" and "a online radio" that can stream anything you want.
try pressing the stream links with a trackball, dont ask why cos i have no idea why it works, but it does

Seeqpod Mobile launches

Hi all, got an email 40 minutes ago from Seeqpod, that app that's supposed to find music on the fly p2p style. Anyway, here's the linkage to a free copy for two days:
It's here!
SeeqPod Mobile is now available for download!
And from now through Sunday, December 21, 2008, it's free! That's right, free! Consider it our season's gift to our friends. Let your Windows Mobile friends know as well!
You can get SeeqPod Mobile installed onto your phone in two ways. Both begin by going to http://www.seeqpod.com/mobile and clicking on the "get it free!" button:
* Internet enabled Pocket PC or Smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.0 or greater
* Broadband internet connection for best performance
* Compatible with the following display sizes: QVGA (320 x 240), WQVGA (240 x 400), Square QVGA (320 x 320), VGA (640 x 480) (Yes, that's right! VGA!!! That means you, HTC Touch Pro and Sony Ericsson Xperia owners!)
Found this on PPCGeeks first, I was about to post it here, but it looks like you beat me to it. The thing is I interpret their registration offer in a different way... I think they're letting you get it 100% free if you get it before 12/21, like Nintendo did for the Wii with the Internet Channel...
For those wondering the App is GREAT... put in any song you're thinking of and it pops up playlists and the song itself for you to play...
I posted it on digg as well: http://digg.com/software/SeeqPod_Mobile_for_Windows_Mobile_free_until_Dec_21
Let's bring some attention to this thing before people have to pay $10 to get it!
Great clean look to the program and website. Music is fast and plays clean.. Great find.
Can you download the music? I know on ipod touch when i used this, with a safari plugin I could download the music as well. Great find either way, downloading now.
Music playback sounded very choppy. Also it works on WQVGA (Omnia) but is not designed for it. The player fills up 300x240 of the screen, leaving a piece with nothing in it but the desktop.

Music playback on fuze is great, no choppiness at all over 3g connection, evening switching songs in playlist only takes a couple seconds. Now just need to figure out how to directly download the songs
Thanks for the info!

Same here, It worked nice and smooth on my Mogul (Titan) w/ EvDO rev A, no lag, very little load time...
I suggest changing the title of this thread, I'd like to see as many people as possible get this before the deadline.
I agree 100%, we need to get the word out while people can still get it free
I tried installing it on WM5, it installs but it doesn't run. FYI.
Doesn't work on my WM5 Wizard either.
Tested on Wizard, WM6.1 working
woo hoo. working but it doesnt work on wqvga
Doesn't work on Touch HD
works perfectly on my kaiser with latest hyperdragon rom.
very nice. for the previous question, i don't think you can download to your phone, but the link where it's getting the song from is listed.
It doesn't have a volume control so it's not very useful unless you want to carry around a pair of 300 ohm studio headphones.
It works on my Tocuh HD with VGAFIX3
Change the resolution => VGA
Review here.

in many movies on youtube they say that the coreplayer has blue screen flickering with video palyback (with video out cable)
I have been looking at CorePlayer, the WindowsMobile PocketPC version, and under notes it says:
CE/Windows Mobile/PocketPC/Smartphone

- Does not support the Qualcomm MSM7200 QTv chipset (we only support the MSM7500)

Doesn't the TP2 use a Qualcomm 7200 chip?
Edit: no idea why it says the above, but I bit the bullet and bought the app and it works soooo sweetly =)
I used coreplayer on my tytn2 but it won't run on my touch pro 2 it fails to start everytime ????
just downloaded an ipod movies .mp4 video and all it shows up as on the built in media player is perfect sound but a green screen ??? why is it so hard to play video's on my phone
I'm using Coreplayer 1.3.2 Build 6909 for ARM atm on my TP2. Had no problem with the install, and it runs all my Xvid/DivX movies just fine.
Mediaplayer, wont show any files in its library so i stopped using that, for music I'm using that crappy Touchflo player (library is too limited for me)
For Vid's I really recommend you to use Coreplayer, it plays music as well, although I haven't tried that yet
just looked at their site and they want me to pay $29 for it !!!! it may be annoying not to be able to watch certain movies on my phone but it isn't worth parting with the much money. I used TCPMP player previously before it became commercially Coreplayer, it worked on my tytn and it was free, since it's become commercial I guess it's no longer an option.
MP4 Player fix for TP2 PLEASE!?
I'd just like to take this moment to say AHHHHHH!!! I'm about to pull what little hair i have left OUT!!
Ok... I've dug through 1000s of sites and forums, 100s of downloads, installs, uninstalls onto memory card and or directly onto my phone. Downloaded even directly to Desktop computer to open / transfer / unzip to removable, then active sync, drag drops, etc... etc...etc...
I had a good TCPMP Player on my winMo5.0 phone that lasted me the last couple years. Now on TP2 WinMo6.1 It doesnt work and i FINALLY found a new one to download and hear people DO have it working on theirs while others don't.... the player they sent with the device beyond sucks!! and I am unable to view flash on the fly..
I even PAID for the download and recieved NO help whatsoever so I'm here after a YEAR of great advice from you all...
I downloaded TCPMP.pocketPC.0.72rc1,
ran the .cab and all seemed to work correctly and even have the shortcut in my programs.. I click on it and receive this pop open:
::::Unexpected program failure. Please send "crash.txt" to the developers. Program will now exit::::
I read some on people saying there is a fix or an add.. please help this long term beginner... PLEASE... I would pay if anYONE could make this simple.. I need to use my phone and cant risk dinking around tOO much with it.
AnYthInG... PLEASE?!?!
gOOOD mp4 player that has been tested and you can walk me through step by step
OR if Im to use the player on the phone currently, how can I create an option for it to auto replay until I can fix the TCPMP so I can move smoothly through the frames
GREATLY appRecIated in AdvAnCe!!!
Which Coreplayer version for us?
I see there are 2 arm versions of coreplayer. For the TP2, would I get the "Pocket PC / Arm" or "Smartphone / Arm" version? Both say they are for Windows Mobile.

This forum does have a search facility, you know. Had you considered using it?
Download the version of TCPMP that you'll find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3275845&postcount=172
Then go into the Settings screen, the DirectDraw page, and tick the box that says "use blitting instead of overlay".
