in many movies on youtube they say that the coreplayer has blue screen flickering with video palyback (with video out cable)

I have been looking at CorePlayer, the WindowsMobile PocketPC version, and under notes it says:
CE/Windows Mobile/PocketPC/Smartphone

- Does not support the Qualcomm MSM7200 QTv chipset (we only support the MSM7500)

Doesn't the TP2 use a Qualcomm 7200 chip?
Edit: no idea why it says the above, but I bit the bullet and bought the app and it works soooo sweetly =)

I used coreplayer on my tytn2 but it won't run on my touch pro 2 it fails to start everytime ????

just downloaded an ipod movies .mp4 video and all it shows up as on the built in media player is perfect sound but a green screen ??? why is it so hard to play video's on my phone

I'm using Coreplayer 1.3.2 Build 6909 for ARM atm on my TP2. Had no problem with the install, and it runs all my Xvid/DivX movies just fine.
Mediaplayer, wont show any files in its library so i stopped using that, for music I'm using that crappy Touchflo player (library is too limited for me)
For Vid's I really recommend you to use Coreplayer, it plays music as well, although I haven't tried that yet

just looked at their site and they want me to pay $29 for it !!!! it may be annoying not to be able to watch certain movies on my phone but it isn't worth parting with the much money. I used TCPMP player previously before it became commercially Coreplayer, it worked on my tytn and it was free, since it's become commercial I guess it's no longer an option.

MP4 Player fix for TP2 PLEASE!?
I'd just like to take this moment to say AHHHHHH!!! I'm about to pull what little hair i have left OUT!!
Ok... I've dug through 1000s of sites and forums, 100s of downloads, installs, uninstalls onto memory card and or directly onto my phone. Downloaded even directly to Desktop computer to open / transfer / unzip to removable, then active sync, drag drops, etc... etc...etc...
I had a good TCPMP Player on my winMo5.0 phone that lasted me the last couple years. Now on TP2 WinMo6.1 It doesnt work and i FINALLY found a new one to download and hear people DO have it working on theirs while others don't.... the player they sent with the device beyond sucks!! and I am unable to view flash on the fly..
I even PAID for the download and recieved NO help whatsoever so I'm here after a YEAR of great advice from you all...
I downloaded TCPMP.pocketPC.0.72rc1,
ran the .cab and all seemed to work correctly and even have the shortcut in my programs.. I click on it and receive this pop open:
::::Unexpected program failure. Please send "crash.txt" to the developers. Program will now exit::::
I read some on people saying there is a fix or an add.. please help this long term beginner... PLEASE... I would pay if anYONE could make this simple.. I need to use my phone and cant risk dinking around tOO much with it.
AnYthInG... PLEASE?!?!
gOOOD mp4 player that has been tested and you can walk me through step by step
OR if Im to use the player on the phone currently, how can I create an option for it to auto replay until I can fix the TCPMP so I can move smoothly through the frames
GREATLY appRecIated in AdvAnCe!!!

Which Coreplayer version for us?
I see there are 2 arm versions of coreplayer. For the TP2, would I get the "Pocket PC / Arm" or "Smartphone / Arm" version? Both say they are for Windows Mobile.

This forum does have a search facility, you know. Had you considered using it?
Download the version of TCPMP that you'll find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3275845&postcount=172
Then go into the Settings screen, the DirectDraw page, and tick the box that says "use blitting instead of overlay".

YouTube video - what's the best solution?

When I go to www.youtube.com in Pocket IE, it automatically re-directs to "m.youtube.com". So far so good - everything comes up including the thumbnails. Click on any thumb and you get the expected screen including "Watch Video". BUT ... clicking on that produces an error screen that says "Running a system command on this item might be unsafe. Do you wish to continue?"
Clicking YES only results is a "rtsp ... 3gp" file can NOT be opened.
So, how did this guy back on June 18, 2007 do it on the Touch as shown in this video ??

You need a program called HTC streaming media. Just Google it.
Streaming YouTube on WM6 (Touch included I'd assume)

second for VTAp. Has videos from all google videos, youtube, and a few other places. Its like connected so its updated the same rate the sites are updated as well. Its just overall great!

vTap works great ... thanks for the input !!
vtap is the best that is what im using. works like a charm.
i tried vTap and its okay, but the thing that pisses me off are the load times and the ****ty quality. so i went with typocket.com, they have 2 easy installs that take less than a minute, with GREAT FULL SCREEN quality and super fast load times, almost seems like its streaming
so give ytpocket.com
I've got ytpocket and tcpmp installed. Some reason all videos are very choppy, sound is clean but video looks like its refreshing slowly (like if you don't have the proper video card drivers installed on your pc thats how it looks) Its not buffering or anything.
Are there any tweaks I have to apply to get better video frame rate?

I have used vTap and I though it was very good, although I had to put up with a lot of wait icons.
I have been experimenting with this option... http://www.avotmedia.com/ and it has been quite usable so far. Video is very smooth and I have not had one single wait icon while using this program.

Try using ORB

YouTube On The Titan - Error Code.

I can browse to youtube.com in my browser...I can click on "watch video"...then when the rtsp:// stream comes up, it opens windows media player, then I get "An unknown error 0X8007274D has occured." and it doesn't play the video.
I am not married to WMP, so if there is anothe rplayer that is faster, less bulky, like VLC but for mobile and can handle youtube streams, then I will be happy to use it, or can I get a flash plugin to make youtube work on my Titan lik eit does on a normal pc? with streaming flash?
Or if you have a way to make WMP work and not erro-out, then that's fine to, thanks.

Noob or not you should STILL read these threads and learn how to do things properly (Especially the instructions )
First download the latest Flashvideo Bundle CAB if you don't have it already.
Install TCPMP to your SD Card
Once TCPMP has installed copy the Flashvideo Bundle CAB to the TCPMP Folder that was created in Progam Files directory in your SD Card
From within the TCPMP program files directory initiate the installation of Flashvideo Bundle and save it to your SD Card
Then soft reset.
Once restarted launch TCPMP and check all the necessary file association options that you would need.
Now you can launch internet explorer --- visit youtube.com (full version) and you should be able to view Youtube videos automatically from TCPMP
though i am not sure what everybody uses youtube for so much. what does everybody watch all the time?? anyway....try veveo (veveo.com). love it b/c it searches more sites and plays great...good luck

TCPMP doesnt work on my phone. There are two versions of the xv6800, some that work right, and some that are a pain in the butt...I guess for $80 I got one of the pain in the but phones. I cannot use any roms or anything other than stock rom/radio, so oh well. i can live with it for $80, lol.
besides, my friend has 3.1.2 on his xv6800, and mine actually runs fast on stock rom. so make me happy.

Is it doing this? IF TCPMP is erroring out check the tcpmp folder and make sure you have the flvsplitter and flvffmeg files.
that veveo works really good,i dont know why i dont hear more about it. just go to www.vtap.com from your phone and it goes right to the right install page, pretty easy
i followed the instructions to the letter...when i click "watch video" is still openes TCPMP then says "RTSP protocol not supported", and I have both the files for flash support in the TCPMP folder.
No worries, I uninstalled TCPMP and just used the youtube CAB file provided earlier in this thread and it works great Thanks!!

I just tested TCPMP again to make sure that the flashvideo bundle still works.
It still works and doesn't need any updated version.
Who knows he might be using an old version of the Flashvideo bundle, he might not have the file association for flashvideo checked, or he isn't viewing youtube.com with pocket internet explorer.
I use TCPMP alot. I watch several movies on my xv6800. The quality isn't that bad either even when I stream youtube using WiFi.
Yeah wouldnt go without tcpmp...Streaming with wifi is great but when I stream on 1X service it blows...buddy has TILT with 3g and pisses me off....Could just be Stock rom....that was just a joke....I attached the same cabs I was using so it should have worked if installed correctly.
you tcpmp users are really missing out...i dont know if it is the decreased ram usage or what, but the cab file actually modifies the shell rather than installing additional memory hogging software...besides I can stream over both 3g and 1X with the youtubecab just fine.
its hard to find a 1X area where i live, but i tested youtube streaming on 1X, a 4minute video, played the whole way through without buffering. i guess im just lucky.
thanks for the cab file again guys.

Pretty sure Titans dont have 3g...or at least I havent heard of it or seen it....If your just using titan to watch youtube than youtubeplay is the way to go...But your very limited to playback on your titan...wmp doesnt support neary as many formats as tcpmp... Have you tried Downloading off of youtubeplay...It downloads in FLV and evertime I have used that and downloaded it has to play in tcpmp since I believe the youtubeplay player is only for playing streamed vids.

WM 6.1 ROM - A Good Media Player?

Hello,
I just purchased a Mogul. My first task was to apply the official Sprint WM6.1 update, which applied with no trouble.
I am now looking for a media player that will play videos I have converted for an Ipod Touch. Windows Media player does not do it. So I tried a version of TCPMP for WM, but it won't even come up.
So I bit the bullet and purchased a licensed copy of the CorePlayer. This is supposed to be the best their is, but it freezes up when I play most video files, including simple MPEG1 files. I suspect it has not been tested extensively on WM6.1
So .. is there any other media player I can try?
There is a new version of TCPMP posted here on the forum - with source code. You need to get that and you also need to extract 2 DLLs from WM5 into you windows directory. This will allow you to play all wma files (otherwise TCPMP won't even see them). If you can't find either of these files, let me know and I'll post links to them sometime in the next couple days.
ALSO, you will need to customize TCPMP to set the buffer settings that work best on your phone. In general the phones are a step back from pure PDAs like a circa 2005 Toshibe e750, but you can get them to play without skipping if you balance them right and/or select low quality playback in TCPMP.
TCPMP is nice, but after trying Core I stuck with that. I like the more refined look, and the equalizer has a few more sliders.
Both are great though.

That's a $25 commercial program. I hope this file is only the 30-day trial.

iplayer downloads?? Can't get them to work.

Sorry for the noobish question but my problem is as follows....
I know the BBC Iplayer site states the HD2 is not compatable and either way I thought I'd put some downloaded programmes on my phone to watch.
So I downloaded them as 'portable device download' from the iplayer site to my PC and then tried to drop them onto the card to watch. They're WMV files. But I get an error message stating "the device has either stopped responding or has been disconected".....not sure what I'm doing wrong and would be glad of some advice. All I'm trying to do is copy and paste them over to the phone card.
Anyone?
Can't explain that I'm afraid but I did read a while back that the files need to be synched through Windows Media Player and in the past that the file needs to pass a drm check before it will play - someone wrote even longer back that starting to play the fie on the PC so it checks drm, then moving it worked.
Do you get that message when moving anything else to your sd card?

This is a problem to do with transferring large files rather than the HD2's ability to play the WMV files. Try connecting the HD2 in Disk Drive mode - it worked for me.
You might want to try searching this site for an application called myplayer - it makes accessing iPlayer a lot less painful and allows higher-quality downloads.

TCPMP is more likely to be stable (i.e. not crash or lock up the phone) in GDI or Raw Framebuffer mode. So is CorePlayer, come to that.
If TCPMP is crashing before it even lets get you into the menu, that may be because it's trying to display the opening frame of the video that you previously told it to play, and doing that in DirectDraw mode. You can get around that by temporarily moving or renaming whichever file it's trying to display.
I have myPlayer and Coreplayer.
With myPlayer you get the latest viewable content ... but can search for anything. If you have the iPlayer website open that may be easier to search.
Once you've found what you want, just use myPlayer to download over wireless to your device (you can also stream for instant playback (even over 3g).
myPlayer has a view downloads screen with all the programmes you've downloaded. You select one, say view now ... it launches Coreplayer ... and it plays perfectly.
Never had a problem. This is infact one of the most amazingly together capabilities of the HD2 with this huge screen. In the evening I choose something to watch on the train on the way to the city the next day ... love it.
Paul.

OK. I tried moving the file, but it's still crashing. I'll uninstall it again, later, and delete any settings that are left behind in the registry. And when I get TCPMP working again, I'll give those other modes a go.
Having got iplayer downloads to play on my HD2 having put them on the sd card I'm now having some playback problems.
Basically the quality of the picture and the sound is fine in principal but upon playback on WMP the programme pauses or sticks every second or so. The pause is only for a fraction of a second, just enough for the picture to momentarily catch or stick before continuing. I could live with this but at the same time the sound is also distorted making programmes unwatchable. If downloaded to my PC the same programmes are fine, it's not the download itself it's just once on the phone thats the problem.
Tried various programmes, all the same. Tried downloading direct from iplayer site to the card, still occurs.
Could this be a card problem. It's a sandisk 8Gb SDHC card. Any ideas?
I configured Opera to try direct streaming from iPlayer ... and it worked fine althought he picture was a little pixelated.
I know CorePlayer is a cost ... but if iPlayer is important to you, the combination of myPlayer and Coreplayer for iPlayer (and other channels) is incredibly simply ... live streaming is better quality ... and the download manager is completely seemless. Quality of downloaded video is genuinely perfect ... as good as anything at high bit rates I have on my Archos AV5100.
All I can say is that if you can stretch to Coreplayer ... I'd go with myPlayer.
Going through the website for either streaming or download (even on a PC) is so much more clunky.
Paul.

Thanks for the response! But can you suggest another program because Coreplayer doesnt have sound for some reason?
Have you tried the freeware TCPMP? It plays almost every kind of files out there Audio and Video. You can get it right here on XDA:

I'm using it on Jagan's Evo2 ROM and it works perfectly.
Good luck.
Yes, the above suggestions will work for you.
And yes in the new version it will be fixed. Still finding time to finish it.

what you mean that it doesnt have sound?
perhaps you downloaded the wrong version...or the trial one..also there is a thing in the program (a thing that can be scrolled, as in every another program.cause of my "good" english i cant really explain you what i mean and i dont rly think that somebody understands what i am writing here, however =D) that controls the sound.
i dont know.
but today i rewatched the "harry potter 6" with coreplayer and everything was super
http://4pda.ru/forum/dl/post/336158/CorePlayer.PocketPC.r7427.cab and i downloaded it from here (it's a direct link that doesnt need a keygen or a crack so enjoy)
what about the "TCPMP"..I never tried it, but cause it's freeware, it cant be better then the coreplayer =p
@jagan2, honey...this forum can live without you =p it would be better if the time that you are spending by answering questions here would be used on finishing the rom.thanks =D
Thx guys, i fixed it!
Btw, japan, I would like to try your ultimate EVO but is there a way to save the texts on my current phone because they are quite important and I dont wanna lose them from flashing new ROM.
