HTC TyTN II white housing? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Accessories

I've been searching for a white housing, but with no success.
I found one for the HTC Touch:

Would be great if we could find a similar housing for our Kaisers!

AFAIK HTC only made it in black/dark gray.

There is an orange one as well:

BTW £60 for a peace of plastic? WTF!!!

Having just the back cover?

Skin Cases

I own a S100 for a couple a days and I'd like to by a skin case. I would like to now if that kind of skin could damage that nice body... I would not like it to be marked anyway. I'd like to keep it as new as possible to be able to by it when I want to.
by skin case do you mean a silicone case? if so take a look at these sites
http://www.boxwave.com/ click FlexiSkin look for HTC, i-mate, or O2 (as it is basically the same)
http://shop.brando.com.hk/o2xda.php (link to XDA accessories including mini)
http://www.capdase.com/ capdase also makes cases.
I have the brando silicone case and leather case they work ok. But I also ordered the boxwave one as this has a hard plastic cover for the screen.

MDA 4 - black and/or silver finish ?

there are virtually only two colour versions available, ok ... but I heard rumours that black is plastic and silver is aluminium
in my perception alu is to be more durable to scratches etc
can anyone confirm this plastic vs aluminium difference regarding colours offered, for me that seems to be an important buying factor ;-)
thanks in advance
andy
My MDA's has aluminium inserts on the top
Yeah it's all silver, with the only metal being the insert on the other side of the screen.
well, does it mean they both are made of plastic ?
i.e. clamshell etc .... at least at this point that's the only conclusion I can draw from a/m answers of yours
regards
andy
Well the silver MDA Pro is most defiantely 90% plastic. I do not know of any black version but if there is then it wont be available until after xmas - just to boost sales.

Black vs. Silver cover size

Hi folks,
because of the cracking-problem i ordered a spare-housing on ebay. My X1 is silver, the spare-housing is black. So i now have a silver and a black battery cover.
Following the threads around the cracks, most people think, that the cover is causing this somehow. It also seems to me, that the silver one cracks more often than black. So i tried the black cover on my silver X1. Looks quite nice, by the way But i noticed, that it fits much easier than my original silver cover.
A quick measure showed: The black one is a little bit wider. It is easier to put on and to take off. The silver one is 50.3mm and the black is 51.0mm. Look at the pics to see what i measured.
Now i am interested, if this is only with my cover. So please do check your cover-width and post the result. At the moment i am using my X1 without the battery-cover (it's in a case) to see wheter it is cracking again or not.
Thanks!
I think one of the reasons the cracks appear is due to temperature change of the metal surrounding the phone. Have had 2 black one's and both have had cracks in the metal and plastic.

Who's going to be switching to Phantom Black shell?

Well, the Phantom black legend has started to be sold and it's more likely than not that sooner or later ebay will start stocking aluminium black shells for our beloved phone.
Who's going to be making the switch?
+1 here, I can't wait
and how are you going to change the shell?
disassemble it yourself?
yeah, i'll give it a go
Meh, I'll be sticking with the slick looking stock silver.

Scratch
So you think that thin layer of black anodizing or paint is going to last..more than a day? It BEAUTIFUL, but for an "everyday-use" device like a phone, I will NEVER buy it in another color than silver. Scratch a silver device, it looks silver. Scratch a black device, it looks like a black device with silver scratches.....annoying enough with silver scratches on a silver device!
Anyone know where to buy alluminium body for HTC Legend (Silver or Black)?
I dropped my Legend, and it's got a dent in the edge of the casing.

I guess you've not scratched your legend then - I have a few on the back of mine, and it's black underneath...

[Q] Black Legend - does it scratch easily?

So, this Black Legend...does the metal scratch easily? Say if you drop it, will it get a silver scratch in the "paint" or anodization? Or is it black underneath as well?
yes it does.... it's still aluminum after all... the silver colour will show for deep scratches or nicks, however, dents are ok if not scratched. Just think of it as a piece of silvery metal cover with a thin layer of black paint (of course it's not paint, it's whatever process you call it for anodizing the black colour element on the aluminum)
Just what I thought.....so I'm not getting it, even though it's at 50% off retail price.....knew it had to be for a reason.
Where can you buy it from in black? Might buy another especially if it is 50% off

Having a black one - so far really happy no one scratch.
Any Black Legend owners can upload the pictures of their phone? It is not available in my country. A sad thing indeed.
