I want to start a little competition, so to all the brilliant chef´s out there who can cook a rom with the highest amount of free RAM. Because i have seen alot of people asking for "tweaks" on this subject.
The rom must be suitable for elf because of it´s lagg of memory
the rules are simple: it must be "stable", but other then that you can play as you like
Let the games begin

I can see that for some people disabling Bluetooth Services might not be called a fair solution.
But not my Game anymore. (Said the bitter man)

Im using essential v 1.8 with 4 mb pagepool, system cache enabled, sytem cache size auto, systemfiltercache disabled, glyphcache 16kb
this runs smooth and has about 26-27 mb free ram
i dont know abt others but Noonski's surface rom sometimes gives me 83.5mb free ram initially with default pagepool (12 mb).

You install that ROM, and change Pagepool using (pagepool changer) which is noted on the first post.
I tested it to 4 MB pagepool and it works great with 26 meg of RAM available.

Sincerely that are the frequescies of a Intel/Marvel CPU (ie 312, 520, 624 MHz)
Qualcomm has 400 and 528 Mhz
this is for intel processors, it does nothing to the quallcomm processors afaik
I can not work more than 400 MHz.
This ROM will spend the weekend with me : Feels smooth and sweet. If it passes, it could stay with me for awhile
What language was on that site?
I think Thai.
Hi, the rom is nice. It has many Thai customizations so you need to chnage your regional settings, the timezone, language etch. to english to get the full English menu. So far so good. No problems.

I'd tried it. The performance program in the setting does not really overclock the cpu but it does feel faster. The 520mhz was tested making the cpu run faster than 624 mhz. You all can try it cause it does no harm. So far this rom is running very stable for me.
Try it and you'll love it.

Very good ROM but the first one without Greek Regional Settings!!!
Where can i find that?
Not as fast as i expected and without Greek regional settings it's useless for Greece!
There some to be some really good ROMs on the PDAMobiz site, but I can't find any download links anywhere.
I've tried using a Thai to English translator, but it still doesn't make much sense.
Does anyone know where the ROMs are stored, so I can check out some of the others?
Thanks,

Hello Folks,
So VGA development for Manila 2.5 is underway, I am proposing doing a collaborative effort with the MuttiM team. I think this would be the grandest app for any QVGA device.
So if you have any development skill, please let us all know in here so we can form a team and get Manila 2.5 working on our devices.
Regards,
Paul
I would be willing to optimize the graphics once they become available.
Less ram usage and faster load time. Let me know by PM.
This should be exciting.
Is it really possible to port it to qvga devices? Does this new manila need 3d drivers? I remember, TF3D-QVGA was working on my device, but with white zones where animation/3d acceleration was needed. And standby problem...
I believe Manila 2.5 has no animatons....it's....kinda of a cross between TF3D and Manila 2D, hence 2.5
Paul
Would be really great, because I'm a bit tired of that boring WM6.5 homescreen

sorry to inform, but manila 2.5 is full of animations...every thing you see should be considered an animation element as it can be moved around to whatever place you need...its not a step behind but always a step forward...
since opengl is needed only devices that ran TF3D will be (if its ported) able to run manila 2.5

where did you know that it has 576 rams
Probably because the available ram on the screenshots is 458, which is more then 448 which HD2 has.

Because on mine which is using L26 ROM, I have 338.6 MB RAM max (220 free), while on the screen shots the RAM is 458MB. It is over the built-in 448MB (according to spec).

I cant read chinese or japanese (or what language it is), but usualy on the right side there is "ram info".
This is indeed very strange, especially given the T-Mobile USA HD2 specs.
I know the HD2 has already been torn apart, but did anyone actually check how much RAM there physically is?
Can you figure out how much physical ram is there just by looking at the hardware?
Surely someone else must have the same combination of ROM and Radio. Or can try it.
Can someone confirm / reproduce this?

My HD2.It will has 576m ram total (458m max,3xxm available)only when i flash a 2.02 rom and 2.06 radio.
I'm very confused about our hd2's physical ram capacity.
Where did you get that ROM? It look very recent and we havent heard any news about it.
lol...it's fake....don't you think it's a bit of a coincidence that he posts this at the same time the new US version is mentioned...
FAKE
If that's true then our HD2's will be upgradable by only a future ROM release. But why HTC "hides" this extra RAM at first place?

It makes your phone FAST... super snappy with better multitasking!
It rearranges and fixes the OOM Groupings and Priorites and lowmemorykiller values.
So basically, it's a COMPLETE MEMORY MANAGEMENT FIX!

That's it and you can Cook it into your ROM's.

Not sure I agree with that. Retaining data in memory will result in better performance than unloading and reloading the same data back in again from relatively slow storage.
Trying the SuperCharger script using the "Multitasking" preset. I don't want my apps terminated just to get free RAM, then having to reload the same apps again.
Not sure if this will result in any actual performance improvements on a SGSII, given that they're already so fast, but if it can prevent Launcher screen reloads, then I'll be happy.

android never runs out of ram
Hi folks!
pretty new to the forum and for now I am not knowing much about the android. But here got some basic question that hinders my daily use of my cellphone:
The device I am using is samsung Galaxy S 5, and the model is G9008v, for those you know is the version with the China Mobile carrier.
SO, the ram is claimed to be 2GB, right?
bUT WHEN I am using it, the available ram is only about the 300mbs....
Here I've attached the ram status so that I could get some help. As you could see here only THREE programs ar erunning but the total ram is 1.6GB and there are 1.3 GB taken, For no use?

Check your PC task manager, with no programs running, Windows uses about 1.5GB RAM, similar reason with Android

2 GB ram is not enough, android system itself eats more than 1 GB sometimes
so the solution i use is
If u want more ram, then use XtreStoLite 2.2 rom, which is extremely lightweight, i managed to free up ram upto 1.2 GB (Wow), tweaking like Freezeing, greenify etc. now Free Ram is ALWAYS more than .90GB when not using any app, even after hours of use
only downside is that, its 5.0 lollipop not 5.1
but for me Multi tasking is more important to me than android version
Good Luck
