OT: uploading 8525 videos to blog - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I've been trying to figure out a way to upload my 8525 videos to my blogger blog, either directly or via youtube. I haven't figured out a direct way, and youtube's mobile service isn't very good: you either send a video via MMS (which I never do since I have a 600K limit) or you send the video as an email attachment.. I sent a video as an email attachment 4 days ago, and it still hasn't shown up.. Even when it does, there is also no way for the new video to automatically post to my blog.
Is there another way to easily post videos to blogs? Maybe a different video hosting service?
Something like ShoZu looks promising..
Thanks
-Matthew

There's a fairly comprehensive list available at mashable.com. There are many sites that will do what you're looking for... just have to try them out.

use photobucket to send mms

I have a photobucket account and I have sent pictures to photobucket via email. but it didn't don on me until the other day that we can use the direct link that it gives in your email to send mms. what i did was went to photobucket and adjust my mobile settings to NOT link back to my album, i also have mine as privite but i don't know if that helps, but what this will do is when you send a pic to someone they won't be able to look through you whole album...lol. but after that i copy my photobucket upload address, and then put it in my contacts and named it simplely,"photobucket", so when i snap a pic/video i will select the send via email and send it to my photobucket upload address, then photobucket will send you a email telling you that your upload has been successful and it will give you the direct link to that pic.....copy the link then bring up sms put in the person(s) number and paste the link in the message field and you're done it you're just sent a mms via text.....when the person(s) get the message they will click on the link and it will bring up the pic....you can also send videos to photobucket but i haven't tried to send it as a mms yet but it should work....try it for youself it may have a few steps but i think its better than trying to find out and set up all your buddies phone email address especially if you just met the person......but anyway it worked for me, let me know if it worked for you or if you have a better way.
Well well, this actually works. It takes a few steps to get it done, but never the less... it works!
thanks for tryng it i was starting to think no one cared about sending mms or maybe someone has develop some software to fix it....lol but i did run into a problem...i tried to send my girlfriend something but she doesnt have internet service on her phone sooooo she couldn't go to the pic

Facebook Chat on Windows Mobile?

Anyone willing to work and craft a means so that Facebook Chat will work on Windows Mobile? Seems like a natural addition to any IM'ing that's already done on WM.
Any takers for the development?
ya that would be great
I was thinking about this recently, it really would make a great addition...
Perhaps this suggestion should be made to the Palringo developers as well.
Since I'm rather fond of Palringo now .
One would probably have to make a facebook application to acomplish this and also I don't think the facebook devs have opened up chat to application developers.
i like the idea since in recent days i've started using facebook chat.
if you use skyfire i believe you can use the facebook chat..
facebook chat app: any news?
Any news on this? I see pidgin now works with facebook on the desktop version. They say that it would take some effort to port pidgin to windows mobile so I don't see that happening yet. It does show that it is possible
code for pidgin app is at:
http://code.google.com/p/pidgin-facebookchat/
There is already a facebook application out there. Not sure if the creator minds if I post it. Besides, its freeware. I use it daily.

i've been using that app recently but, as far as i can tell, it doesn't have facebook chat.
So these apps ive tried on here does not have live chat. Does anything exist? I have skyfire but a window wont popup to let me chat. Waiting for facebook live chat on Win Mobile....
Yeigo has recently included Facebook chat in their application (along with the usuals like Skype/Googletalk/MSN etc). There is a Windows Mobile version as well as Symbian/Java.
You can download the app at www.getyeigo.com or visit www.yeigo.com for more information.

Thanks for the refrence... I tried Yeigo. It looks promising, however I'm having problems. I cant get my MSN contacts to populate. When I chat on facebook I can send messages but when people write back I dont get them.
Can someone else try this program and report back? I have a Tilt on AT&T edge. I have yet to try wifi.

Hey Praygo. We're currently having some issues with the MSN gateway so no one is receiving their MSN friends - we're working on this and hopefully everything will be back to normal by tomorrow.
The facebook code is pretty new so there might still be a few lingering bugs to sort out and we'll be watching for those. From my experience it's been working great. If you continue having issues send us an email at [email protected] and we'll see what we can do to sort you out.
Thanks,
Andrew

I tried Yeigo and i LOVE it. i have a moto q with alltel and i use it for facebook chat and it works great...only thing id want to see changed is the beep to maybe a sound and also a vibrate alert.
Fring has a facebook plugin. Not sure if it's for chat, but if a IM program has a facebook plugin I can only assume that it's for the chat feature....
Yeigo.com is hacked?
would love to try skyfire but its for U.S only and requires signup queue for beta users........
not tasty!

[App Idea] Automatic picture upload and download using G-Mail

There are quite a few apps that will upload your pictures to the cloud (be it flickr, Live etc) but thats not where I want my pictures, I want them at home on my PC.
I have what I hope is a great idea which I hope would be relatively easy to implement.
Why not use a dedicated G-mail account (created by the user) as a repository for pictures, and have a client on each side (phone and desktop) upload and download the pictures.
I see it working this way:
1) You have an app on the phone keeping an eye out for new pictures taken, and when a pic is taken it automatically puts it in the outbox of a dedicated g-mail account as an e-mail with an attachment.
2) Pocket Outlook e-mails the pictures as normal to g-mail.
3) On the desktop, whenever your pc is on, a dedicated e-mail client, using imap or pop, downloads the pictures and then deletes the e-mail. Since g-mail allows many gigabytes of storage your pc wont need to be on all the time, just every once in a while to clear out your e-mail account, and all your pictures are automatically and wirelessly downloaded to your pc.
Advantages - because the normal WM e-mail system is used, you dont need to be connected all the time, you could set it to send and receive 2-3 times per day so it wont have to suck battery. Also because G-mail is used as an intermediary your pc does not have to be on constantly for this to work.
What do people think. To me it sounds feasible and not very complicated. Anyone want to take up the challenge?

Have you seen this, PocketPicasa. It uploads pictures direct to your Google photo album. If you have a decent data tariff it will upload directly or you can set it to email them when you do have a connection.
i think the developer has plans to include offline browsing of your uploaded photos in the near future.
i am using it with Picasa 3 on the PC to synch photos from my desktop. So any i take with my phone and upload are then downloaded next time i run Picasa on the PC.

Does Picassa automatically download photos from your online gallery to your desktop?
Also I think the solution I propose would use a simpler client on both ends, and you wont run into restrictions like e.g. on flickr you can only upload 150 pictures a month (I dont know what picassa's limit is, but the desktop client is very heavy).
The whole point is that it would be seamless and completely automatic.

i have uploaded 200+ images in one go so i don't think there are many restrictions there.
Not sure on the downloading as i haven't really tried it yet.

Downloading is what its all about. I'm not into web 2.0 - I want my data on my PC, not in the cloud.

send large files?

I can't send things via gmail or text on my nexus because it says it's too large :< Any way to fix this? It's really important and not being able to send videos is really killing me as far as gigging goes.
Bump. Anyone? I'd just like to know why i can't.
setup a ftp server, and upload to it, if it's a mac, set the folder to upload to youtube or whateever.
You're either going to have to use the "MMS" setting when you take videos or take shorter videos if you want to send them via MMS.
You can't send video via a TEXT message.
Sorry not an actual solution but I've used Qik for steaming / uploading video on-line with good success (on wifi at least).

Picturemail app??

so, back in the good ol days of windows mobile, someone created an app where you could actually view your picture mail albums right from your phone. This included any pics that are sent and recieved, without having to save them locally on your storage card. Im a person who gets a lot of pics, and would love an app to just pull from the picture mail website. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Im going to post this in the Apps section also
bump..anyone?
