With all my Rom updates recently I've lost the Task Manager application that actually lets you see what is running in the background (in lots of detail i.e. resources/memory actively being used etc etc ) Could someone please post the application name or better still a link to a site that has same....can't find it anywhere
BTW its not the HTC Task Manager....it was something else....
Thanks
Maybe it's FdcSoft Task Manager 3.1, from this thread for example?

@all
anyone know how to develop a two software in one appz..
i mean is "magic button + oxios memory"..or same appz..in one application..
that when you click the X button at the upright corner of our XDAs screen..it will really close the apps and then free-up memories..
i think it's a great idea for a new application in our xda..
thanks a lot..

serialzs, what you smokin' dude? You've been on this forum a year, posted almost a hundred times and you haven't seen any software that does this?

You know, Magicbutton already does this actually. Maybe you have an older version. Go upgrade.
Or if you have WM6 and find MagicButton looks like ****, then try wktask

So to let the people understand it better:
You want something like Oxios CloseApps (closes all the apps and hibernates to recover some RAM) - though you want it in a form of a task manager - so it will close task or tasks according to your choice (one or all as in wktask, magic button, x button and all this stuff) and then it will try to silently reclaim the memory (it is not a cool to have a nagging info on reclaimed memory popping out everytime you close a program).
It is an interesting idea to put this functionality together in one app. Maybe you can write a feature request to the authors of these apps (waku listens to these and there are more developers with their own task managers in this forum - pBar and so on - try to persuade them - it should be easier to include new functionality than to build a task manager from scratch).
The problem may be to develop hibernation routine because I think oxios apps are not open source.
Just my two cents...
QUICK MENU has oxios hibernate-like option, and YES, it can close, what most programs cannot.
@serialzs,
Whoa. Damn man, sorry.
Its an easy mistake. When a program closes it frees up ram, so this is what I thought you were talking about. Just trying to help out.
Hope you find what you are looking for. I'm gonna go crawl back under my rock.
i am searching a app that when i run it,automatically close all running task.

These are available all over. Please use keyword "Task Killer" in your search on this site or google. Always search fully before you start a new thread.

i need a task killer that automatically kills all the running task
Hi,
I think I saw one app called AppSentry on freewareppc.com for exactly that purpose.
AppSentry
I've never tried it before so I have no idea if it works or not.
I hope this helps.
Try this, works just like on computer.
Put in your phone and assign it to voice command key.

I think that closes only the active program (like alt+f4) and not all running programs.
if you would have searched you would find appsentry here in the forum. so dont start such threads ! thats not the sense of xda devs, because there are many solutions like vjokbutt and so on. because of this many noob "i have a question"-threads we cant find here anything.
and you really need help: "task killler" ? did you try taskmanager, close button or similar ? think about it.
there is a 'closeAll' app in the rs folder linked in my signature
i am sorry, maybe i have started the topic in the wrong section but i have searched for an hour before starting.i searched here, google and in lot of other freeware sites like the freewareppc.com.
i have tried the AppSentry and CloseAll but i cant install them because "...the installation file is not intended for this device", i have also installed a lot of others task managers or app killer(DottfredTaskmanager,appcloser,killcprog,etc...) but they are not automatic or not intended for such a option.
OK ...i am closing the topic and excuse me for the trouble. :-(

I think you do not own a ppc? but a smartphone which is probably why it doesn't work?
Hey, I know everyone seems to like the HTC Task Manager 2.x alot, but I don't. I've gotten used to using a program called vBar and I like it a lot better because it allows you to click next to where the X or 'ok' would be and change programs. With HTC's version you seem to have to navigate back to the today screen to accomplish this.
So:
1) How do you disable HTC Task Manager 2.1 from starting up with the device (also it would be helpful if anyone knows of an easy way or program to look at all of the start up programs on the device)
2) OR if someone can help me see how to make HTC Task Manager act like vBar.
Thanks,
Joshua
P.S. Sorry if this is a re-post, I searched first.
P.S.S. I think Fuze topics go with Diamond, if not please feel free to move it for me.
hey guys. i was just on my xperia and found this handango app in the programs sections. so with curiosity i decdied to run it. well ir run half way and then it stopped.
now on the first panel (xperia panel?) theres the handango inhand icon on the lower right. is that normal?
i tried clicking on it and nothing happens...i try going back to programs and click on the handango inhand app again but now nothing happens.
and finally i went under the task manager to see if the handango is running but theres nothing there.
can sum1 plz explain the use of this program or how to get rid of it?!
THanks alot!! any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
just uninstall it. i knew straight away when i got my X1 that the handango thing would only gives me problem.
dont forget to deletethe handango thing in the startup thing after u uninstall it
ok. where do i go to unstal this program?
sry if im asking all this really basic questions but i just got my x1 a couple of days ago.
thanks alot for your help
Can't
If you are running the latest R2AA_10 you cannot "uninstall" Handango...per se because it has been embedded into the ROM.
You can however remove the program link from your start menu folder with a file explorer like resco and remove any startup links to it.

Hi Forum and Hi to all users, developers and mods,
Well am facing a problem with my HTC P3452 Elf 100
When ever I tap on the screen or open any application, a invisible window opens up and closes, by invisible I mean I can only see something opening up or closing I guess that one of any program that I might have un-installed has left its running state and is causing this, can I fix it with something
Like do I have to work with regedit or something else to fix this issue
Please help guys........
Hi
Try first to navigate to Windows/Startup and see if there's some unneeded shortcut, if it's the case remove it (or copy to somewhere else) and restart.
If you have fdcsoft task manager (you should) run it and see what's running in the background. You can't just go to the registry if you don't know what you're looking for anyway.
Good luck
Thanks a ton
