Unsigned Error - Wing, P4350 General

I'm getting the following error after upgrading to the latest T-Mobile ROM (Wing).
psShutXP.exe
The file 'psShutXP' cannot be opened. Ether it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You Might need to reinstall or restore this file.
psShutXP will work. Periodically I'll get this error upon boot and then the item won't be displayed in the bottom tray. I searched the forums and someone posted about having to do a hard reset after a ROM upgrade (but I've never seen this in any of the instructions). Was I supposed to do this? Is this my problem? Will it wipe out everything I've installed by doing a hard reset?
Thanks in advanced.

Trouble with unsigned files and Qtek 9100

I have a swedish Qtek 9100. I had trouble installing some applications but then I used the SetSecurity.exe so now I can install the applications without the security prompt. But some of the applications I install can not be started without an error message.
For example, I bought Xbar 3 and when I press the battery symbole I get this error message.
"The file power could not be opened. It is probably not signed with a trusted certificate, or otherwise some of the components could not be found. Yoy might have to reinstall the application or restore this file"
The message is roughly translated from swedish.
I get this error message with other applications as well. How can I get past this error so I can use my applications? I have tested with Default_Cert_SPCS.CAB but with no luck.
Would be very happy for a solution of this.

I have this problem too!
Did you ever solve it please?
ps I get this particularly on hyperlinks...I don't have the app you quote and I get it on an O2 Exec (HTC Universal)
Check to see if the shortcut is correctly pointing to the source-file.
Unfortunately, nothing can be done to these error messages. They have nothing to do with he security mechanisms - so, switching off security won't help. These apps are just not compatible with WM5.
No I found a way to make them work. I sign the exe files with a certificate I found named TestCert_Privileged.cer.
Then I just install the cert on the Qtek 9100 and then all my applications is working!
Please post a link to TestCert_Privileged.cer or at least tell people where they can get it pls?
I donĀ“t remember where I found it so I attaches the files here instead. Unpack them and run sign.bat <filename> to sign the exe file with the cert. And copy the cer file to the phone and open it to install it. Then you can copy the signed exe file to your phone and the application will start.
Cheers
I hope it will work for you, all my apps that got that annoying error message are now working after the signing procedure

What is this? (wierd error on startup)

I just rebooted my pda (htc tytn win mobile 6) and was greeted by this informative message.
Is this of any importance? should i do a backup restore from yesterday and just get it over with? or is it of so little consequence that I can remove the registry key for it or something?
No idea what it is as i can't read German/Dutch. Go into windows>start up>find the file there and delete it.
oh sorry, it's in swedish::
the file cannot be opened. this is either not signed with a trusted certificat or some of it's components cannot be found.
If the problem persists reinstall or recover the file.
The weird is after a reboot it hasn't appeared...

Error message after soft reboot

Hi guys I've had my HTC HD2 for about 2 months now and it's really good (T-Mobile UK) - with the original rom - I haven't bothered cooking it with anything else.
I've updated a few things with some the tweaks mentioned on here - cheers for those!
One of the things I've noticed is that since I installed .Net 3.5 Compact (I think it was this), everytime I perform a soft reboot, I get the following error message:
"The file 'Documents and Settings' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
When I go into the "Documents and Settings" folder on the phone (using Resco File Manager), there is only the "default" subfolder dated 06/01/1980 and nothing else.
Do you know how I can fix this? I don't really want to do a hard reboot as this will wipe everything off the phone's memory.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Can't boot 'Droid' on TMOUS HD2 keep getting software not trusted cert

Hi, ( i hope this is the right forum for this or if not can someone please help me or direct me to the right now to resolve this) just wondering if anyone(s) out there that had this problem after they had any of the TMOUS HD2 'Driods' hacks installed on a SD card, had it running for a while, then turn off your phone, try to restart and get this error (this is occuring on both the CLRCAD and HARET programs) "The File 'XXXX" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem preresist, try reinstalling or restoring this file". i have already formatted and reinstalled the files on the SD card and been to most of the forums here about this issue for their resolution. (all with no luck) If there anyone out there with a simple resoultion (hopefully nothing too complex like a reg hack) can you please help me out with this issue. Thanks in advance
You could Google for and then run once its downloaded the program SDA Unlock, it may remove that warning for you.

[Q] SD card android ROM error messages!!!!

Hi guys.
I have a really annoying problem. Every time i download and put an android ROM on my SD card and try to open any file (e.g. clrcad) the following message appears:
"The file 'clrcad' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
This message also appears when i click Haret. This is the case for any SD ROM i try to install!
i also tried a NAND install, put since i have SPL3.03, apparently i must downgrade that first. When i try downgrading SPL (so i can put on HSPL) with the appropriate files, there is always an error preventing me to do so.
I no longer want a NAND install. just the SD one. Can someone please help me with the problem above. its very annoying!.
Thank You.
this is obviously a question for the windows section, but I'll help you:
all you hace to do is allow unsigned apps to run, it can be easily done by installing BSB tweaks and clicking once on the "policies" this will allow unsigned apps to run..
and you should do some search in the windows section next time.
once i met this problem, after i hard-resetted winmo everything had been solved. you can give a try.
