htc diamond - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

i'm so interested in htc diamond's appearance, is it possible to extract the diamond's ROM and install it in our BA? (of course with the adjustment, since our BA doesn't support video calling..)

if you wanna keep same nagivation (touchflo 3D), the answer is NO, apparently it requires high-end graphic chip which most devices dont possess.

is there a rom that will allow me to run my TC in true vga mode

I want to be able to run my TC in true vga mode like the touch diamond does. What rom do I need to install to do this.
Or will is there just a software package that will allow me to do this?
also,
what is the best rom for the touch diamond on the TC?
I've searched the forums, but there are so many different answers and roms out there...
Thanks
there is no best rom...most roms here are very good....
and you can't use vga on the tc because tc supports only qvga.....

Hehe...No.
That led me to another question. Is it possible to replace the screen + the appropriate drivers?

Thats a gr8 question rhov23! The TC would become a way better device than Diamond considering it has mem card slot and 1350 mAh battery. Anyone knows if it can be done?

TouchFlo3D on Touch 3G possible?

Has anyone tried this, how should I remove the TouchFlo2D?
I think that's not possible.
is it because the screen resolution is 240x320?

Hmm I doubt very much the Jade doesn't have the actual hardware required (could be wrong, though).
Is there a libgles_cm.dll in \Windows ?

[APP] PLAzmA Rhodium (black) VGA Today Mod (BETA 1)

I recently hard reset my phone, as im still running the stock rom, it drives me up the wall having put back my theme mods.
So ive made a cab which will install:
flat black start/program bar today theme tsk (no more beveled bar)
large start menu background (if you have touchflow large start menu on)
flat black wallpaper
works great with Manila Rhodium VGA
Mirror: http://rapidshare.com/files/213475619/PLAzmA_Black_Mod_Pack.cab.html
So all those nice Rhodium Apps are not running on the Omnia, is that right?
But why? Because different Screen-Resolution or because its not a HTC-Device?

the release by XBmod is VGA, it was originally ported from WVGA i belive, as long as you can find a version thats the right resolution it should run, no idea where you can get it maybe ask xbmod if the extracted it or has it in cab format.

1. The Omnia has different graphics hardware than the HTC Touch Diamond-Pro series (which just so happens to be the same hardware on the upcoming second generation aka Rhodium and Topaz or Pro2 and Diamond2) which have an ATI chip. The Omnia has and Intel Xscale Direct 3D chip which is integrated into the CPU. I believe the Diamond and Pro's card is not and is totally separate.
2. The Omnia runs at 400x320 or WQVGA. The Blackstone runs at 800x480 WVGA as well so installing on the Blackstone was as simple as cabbing it up (which btw isn't so simple). The Touch Pro and Diamond run at 640x480 and porting Manila2 to these devices was hard enough.
3. There is already Manila 2D from the Touch 3G and Opal (iolite) working on the Omnia which is good enough. Check this out if you already haven't (http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-http-omnia-modaco-com/273892/complete-install-guide-for-manila-touchflo-2d-on-i900/)
thanx for this plazma. works great on my touch pro.
one request however, it works fine in portrait mode but not in landscape. is it possible you can add that in as well?

TF3D on other phones than htc devices?

hi!
yesterday i came around to play with the toshiba tg01. i liked it a lot, but i was missing the nice tf3d giu, since the toshi-stuff is b***sh**
so i was wondering if it's possible, to get tf3d on this device.
thanks for your answers. have a nice day!
WM is WM, no matter what device manufacturer is. TG01 AFAIR is WVGA, so there should be no problem on either installing TF3D by a cab or flashing a new rom with it (the better solution).
Is it possible to install Touch FLo 3D on a HTC TYTN2?
If so, can someone direct me to the cab file or rom?

hmm, thought maybe it might also be depending on the underlying hardware ?!
You could try using Manilla 2 but i understand its still a bit buggy:

Landscape in WM 6.5(without Manilla) ?

If I disable Manilla and run the phone bareback without HTC Sence/Manilla enabled. Does there exist a tweak for the phone which will make the Windows icons, setting, etc turn while in landscape position?
Before you ask the Manilla 2.5 landscape project didn't work for me.
try to google , gyrator 2 , maybe you can use that ..

Hey Thomas,
mærkeligt at HTC ikke har opfundet noget lignende selv?
Strange that HTC hasn't build something simular?
Virker det ???
dos it works ???
Thomas
It's not an automatic rotation, but try PLToggle in my sig - you may find it more suitable

One thing john.
I seem to remember a earlier version of HTC Sense which looks very much like the HTC Sense on HD2, but was shipping with automatic landscape and sold with Touch Pro 2.
Why didn't they put that version of HTC Sense/Manilla on HD2? Any idear?

No idea mate. I do know that landscape support for Manila is coming in some ROM upgrades soon. I believe 2.02 (not yet officially released) has it.

Lets hope they include full landscape support for the entire device both in Manilla and Windows

BsB Tweaks does the job of adding auto-rotation for non-manila apps very nicely, and of course I'm going to plug PLToggle again
It's just manila that's lacking. I don't think we'll have to wait too long to get to a v2 ROM, which will hopefully have it.
