Knowing my PROPHET better...

Hi all,
I have beeen using the prophet for arond 3 month or so..
but there are few doubts which will help me understand my prophet better..
1.on boot up it shows IPL/SPL information i know it is to identify the G3 or G4 models like mine is the one ending with 2.15.0001 it makes it a G4 right ...
but I wanna know what is G3 and G4 stand for why is it that all models forget models even all different prophet are either G3 or G4 and not standard as g4.is having a G4 better????
2.The GSM info is shown as GSM 02.19.21 what is this code???
If i change my service provider will this no also change???
3.The OS is shown as OS 2.15.13.27 WWE mine is a DOPOD os since i m in INDIA and phone is O2 Neo..I understand that this is the version and WWE is World Wide English..
Is there any update in this OS or this is the latest OS..
(some places i have seen as ext rom upgrade what will this help for)
Also in Device info it shows as
ROM Ver same as above..
Radio Ver.as 02.19.21
Protocol Ver. as 4.1.13.09
Ext ROM as Ver.2.15.13.121
What are these info....
4.On boot it shows as DOPOD what if i wanna change the screen to O2 or HTC ..can i do this ...What should i do/check before doing this...(available on ftp)
5.Finally the memory in setting shows as
Storage :
Total 42.55MB
and Program as
Total 44.01MB
What decides this ..
I have been installing all the program on to card so why is my memory of 18MB being occupied..
Any tweaks here to change ...

You definately have a Magician
There is no such thing as WM5/6 for Magician. The closest look-alike is the 2.03ROM from Taxist (which actually causes problems for some people)

It doesn't make sense you go try experimenting with new ROMs, then end up with a 'bricked' Magicain. If you are good with JTAGs, then by all means...

i know what will happen..i already flashed some sony ericson phones..i wanna try some for o2 xda2 mini

I think it'd be better just sticking with original ROMs.
If you want something new, why now use a 'kitchen' to cook up your own custom ROM?

[Q]HTC Touch S1 flash?

Hi,
i recently bought HTC touch S1 phone from Hong Kong, software on the phone is literary a ****, so i am trying to find out some replacement for it. I found Onyx that is to my likings, i am newbie and stuck. I am not sure is it a HTC or HTC clone so any information would be good if someone knows. Ive heard its possible to flash it with original HTC rom etc.. Would be very kind if someone can explain procedure how to properly do it.
Information behind battery is as follows:

ur phone in an elfin
here is more or less all you need to know:

basically
first cid unlock by flashing some USPL or HSPL (this time u have to use the white screen method). i recommend ipl and hspl 3.10.
then flash a new radio if u want (3.34 recommended)
and flash any rom of your choice.
btw, cid unlocking is a different thing from sim unlocking

BE CAREFULL...this may be a ''clone''
First, try to know from the seller if it is a REAL HTC. If it's not, you're gonna brick it. Can you get to the bootloader? What's the SPL?
Easy thing to do, check the USB plug, is it a ''HTC'' mini-USB or a regular mini-USB?
Don't do nothing BEFORE you know if it's a clone or not....

Good clones have the same labels as real HTC...

If i'm not wrong, the original HTC Touch has WM 6.0, if you haven't flashed it before, i think you have a clone

I have a HTC Touch P3452 WM6.1 which I got from India
The same phone doesn't work in USA with AT&T sim? In fact, it doesnt even detect any network carrier
Please help in fixing this

have you unlocked the phone? Have you flashed a different radio etc? What is your your device info? Have you tried to manually search for a network? Was the phone fully functional in India?

Yes, phone was working. have used the phone both in India & Europe with the original ROM
In US, HTC couldn't detect any Network even tried Manual. Tried updating the ROM, no luck. Currently this is what I have on my HTC with WM6.5

As that is the case, the only thing I can suggest at the moment would be trying different radios - I have an Elf in the same position which also randomly stopped picking up networks, which I am still trying to find a fix for
I do hope it is not the internal antenna or something like that.
I'm presuming that the SIM works in another phone as well?

Need to update my P3452 to markup language Portuguese Brazil, plus his biggest problem is that sometimes he does not want to connect with many attempts to try connecting only mode Reset then he connects more after a while it crashes and just take the battery i do not care more. HELP T3238 Can't Update Rom

Hello,
I am having the same trouble everyone else seems to have. Can't flash an english rom to it. None of the button combinations I have found on the forum work. HardSPL doesn't work. Say's it Can't connect even though I can connect with windows mobile device center. Please Help, getting very frustrated!!!
