Hi everybody !
I'm seraching all threads and no solution for problem.
J have dead xda orbit , he self power off once upon a time and didn't want switch On , no response for charger , when i plugged usb into PC orbit only light LED for 2-3 seconds and LED turn off .
Any ideas?

Have you tried to do a rom update? I had a problem on my XDA Exec where the rom i updated with had a missing file controlling the charger side of the device. luckily i had enough battery life left to reflash it. Can you charge the battery any other way than using the pda?
did you try to refalsh without the SD card?

hi everyone...
i have an i-mate branded himalaya device...went dead suddenley!!!
battery is not charging and all i get is a red light when i connect the device to the charger..
i tried to use another battery, but it's no use and my battery is working fine with another himalaya :roll:
that was 3 days ago...
i left the device because i had something to do when i came back, i turned it on........ :idea: and it worked and hard reseted..
i tried to do a soft reset after a while :?: it went dead again !!!!!
what's happenning here?
i am using the last Offical i-mate ROM...(Windows Mobile 2003)

I have the same problem with my XDA II as well.
So, how do you fix that finally ??

If I was you, then I shall try to flash the device again with the same or newer version of the ROM. If this is not working then I will call the manufacturer.

i had the same problem this weekend.
on friday my MDA II just died in a phonecall. And it wont nether charge or start.
And i rembered a couple of days before my MDA just claimed about weak backup battery during charging.
But after i fully charged the akku in the 2nd slot of the docking station.
My device started and after that the akku also charges in the MDA.
and evrything is normal again. Iill keep an eye on this.

First time it happened i exchanged my device, but the problem was still there and i thought the battery were dead. i bought the new one- and it work!!! But now it happened again!!

I posses an O2 XDA II. About 4 days back i put my phone for charging in the night, like i always do, and woke up to see that it wasnt charging and for some reason it was turned off.
Only after charging my battery through a booster i managed to turn my pda back on. Now when i connect my charger or place it in the usb cradle, the LED turns on and it also syncs with the computer, but instead of charging it dis charges.
I have been using a booster to charge my battery every night so i have to keep my phone off while charging and thus my phone hard restarts every morning.
Please help me with identifying the same problem if you can.

hope someone can help.
For the last few months my Atom has been , lets say "tricky " to charge.
The red LED will flicker on and off, and sometimes it will be on, yet not charge.
On inspection , it thinks it is sync-ing, but connected to wall charger.
Manually ending sync program will fix this,but strange.
Is my Atom on the way out ?
The USB connection needs wiggling to get to work .
I have replaced the battery , so thats not the problem ,
and help/sugestions would be apreciated ,

man.. we've the same problem. i think this is because of the mini usb charger. it doesn't really fit. btw, have u solve your problem?
USB Charging Problems
You must use a correct charger motorola or O2 incorrect charger will post this problem. If problem remain send it to service centre I had my repaired for US 80 dollars. I hope that helps.
Same Problem with the battery
Hi, everybody. I'm the new guys on this forum. I need some help. When I use the internet function to download file or something around 40 minutes, the battery cannot be charged. At the first time I taught the battery has broken or the usb cable. So I bought a new battery to try download file again but the problem is the same cannot charge the battery. The conclusion of this problem only when I download file, if i didn't download no problem the battery can charge normally. Did somebody ever get this problem? I tried to upgrade rom but the problem is not solve make me add problem. The new rom make the atom life always hang so I downgrade the rom. Please help me btw sorry my english is very bad Thanks
hey guy ,i don't know how to fix this.my wizard can't charge .any time i put it in to cradle i see on the battery is 0% and the red flashing light (it must always stay red on charge) if i pull the cradle out it'll shutdown and i have to restart it.any one help me to find out where's the damage and how can i get my xda back to normal. thanks for helping me!

HI,
It sounds like the mini usb connector on the bottom of your XDA is suffering from bad solder joints. Only way to fix that is to open it up and re-solder them - not an easy job!
It is also possible that your battery has just had it - have you tried replacing it?

yeap! i tried to replace it by another one but it doesn't work.( can not charge,no usb connections, no sync) i think the power chip ( that the way i call it cause' i do not know how to call it) was fail .Everything works well except the mini usb connector. describe it again : when i put the recharger into my wizard it says (" recharging..." "main battery 0%") in about 20 seconds .after that the recharge light start flashing, and if i disconnect the recharger my wizard will shutdown and i have to restart it again.
my problem like this..after i buy o2 2nd i test all ok with 6.5 windows..when the battery 0% already...i using motorola ori charger 2 charged 4 1 day but cant turn on only blink clour 4 1 second...i noob about pda just started using i bring 2 shop 2 find charger...i test 8 shop charger but still cant turn on n also using battery charger but cant also...all local one... checked the battery all ok...the problem i cant turn on..and i had done by press camera button+rec+power i had soft rest then it bring me to this
