WM6 Voip Client in PDA not SmartPhone - Networking

Hi all,
I've installed cab files wm6voip.cab and wm6-sipconfigtool200.cab into a Siemens Loox N560 Pocket PC.
After restarting the device the following message appears:
"The file ':MSCprog' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restoring this file"
Phone symbol is shown in top bar but when I try 'Settings', nothing appear.
'Internet Calling' is show in Today settings but nothing appear in Today screen.
I've successfuly installed these two cabs in an E-TEN X500 - wm6 and is working great with voip calls.
So I think I need a phone application. Where can I find one? Does wm6 voip client work without a phone application?
Regards,

There's no cprog (phone dialer) on PDA, you need a smartphone.
MS WM6 VoIP/RTP stack may exist somewhere for PDA, but it's not the same as the smartphone version you are trying to use.

Thanks for the reply.
I googled so far but only xda appears with wm6 voip... Fujitsu-Siemens has dropped PocketPC line.
Do you know where can I find such version of wm6 voip for PDA?
Thanks in advance.

TyTn deployment

Hello,
I have to deploy around 100 tytn's to users with support for japanese and total commander. I managed to get the softwares installed in 1 cab, but now I'm looking for a way to configure the devices with settings like GPRS, proxy server, Owner information, change HTC Today screen to the normal WM5 one.
I configured one tytn with all correct settings, exported the registry keys which were changed, combined them in a cab but it doesn't work. Not even when exporting each key to one cab.
For example, I set in the Owner information the address, the end of the email, a general phone number, export the reg keys in HKCU\ControlPanel\Owner, create a cab. When I import the cab on another pda all goes fine, everyhting is ok in the registry but not on the today screen. All the settings are empty there. With all other settings like gprs it seems to be the same, it seems that the today screen needs a refresh but even a soft reset doesn't solve it.
Does anyone has some experience with this or with deploying large amounts of smartphones?
Thank you for your help
David
use spb backup, create a exe backup run it on all the tytns

PocketIE not connecting

Hi,
I have a WM2003SE PPC (Qtek 2020i aka HTC Alpine). I have problems connecting to the net via Pocket IE with my WiFi/ActiveSync connection. But strangely, my SBSH Pocket Weather, Pocket MSN, Resco Radio, Resco Update connects to the net with no problems while connected thru WiFi/ActiveSync.
While trying to open an URL, I get a Pocket IE error saying: "The page you are looking for cannot be found."
Why am I having problems and how do I fix this isue?
LOL
strangely, this has fixed my problems:
Many Axim X3i users have problems with Pocket IE reporting "The page you are looking for cannot be found." Some users have found updating their X3i to ROM version A01 solves the problem.
Another solution (reported by Markprieb on AximSite) is to perform the following:
1. Open File Explorer
2. Go to Windows Folder
3. Scroll Down to the "W"s
4. Click on Welcome.exe
5. You will go through the welcome screen like you did when you first got your PPC (Note: Even though this will take you through the same process like after a hard reset, this is not the same as a hard reset. Your data/programs will not be lost).

Gprs automaticly connecting

Hi guys,
I have little problem.
My touch dual connects automaticly to gprs without asking.
How can i find wich program or setting triggers this.
Weathers is manual.
Email is manual.
I've installed also NoData. This works fine. But when i enable the gprs and after a while its connecting to gprs.
Is there another program which asks for confirmation when its connecting to gprs.
Thanks.
Regards,
TMF
My phone started doing this randomly the other day, I softreset it and it hasnt happened since.
check again - this is most likely email .... maybe you have more than one email accounts installed and one is asking for data ?

i have 3 email accounts and all are manual. i've checked it.
i've a lot of software on my dual:
fullscreenkeyboard
googlemaps
tomtom
pcmkeyboard
spb pocketplus
Resco Explorer
S2U2
Salling Clicker
Spb Backup
Touchpal
NoData
Opera
Spb Brain Evolution
TCPMP
TotalCommander
ClearTemp
Easysync Pro
SlideActions
I am gonna check if one of these do this.
But is it possible that a callendar entry do this??
I had the same problem and I have tried software reseting the phone, the email functionality was completly turned off. So the only way i found of fixing it is to go to your comm manager and switching off "Data Connection", "microsoft direct push" and "Internet Sharing"
my wifes elf started doing this but we found out it was 'worldmate'. After setting it to manual it was gone. Whatabout your RSSfeed program?
Maybe you have a pending incoming or outgoing mms? this was my problem i believe.

no unfortunately this is not it...
Check Windows Live Messenger if installed. On my TyTNII that was the problem. Start it and make sure to log off before exit the program. Soft reset and see what happens. It worked for me

avaya one-x mobile client WM6.1

using HTC Cruise, we had to flash the original WM6, and replace it with WM6.1 version that comes with VoiP dialer. the device started connection with the SIP server, and make and recieve calls with no problem. the next step was to install the avaya one-x mobile client due to the need for dual voip/GSM functionality, and there started the problem.
the device can not connect with the sip server, and only works on GSM mode.
we have followed some suggesgtions to edit the reg files and with no luck.
What we are suspecting is the HTC built in dialer, which seems to be still enabled.
now the question for those who suceeded getting this thing running; do we have to remove the built in dialer, and if yes then how?
We have searched all availbel sites and forums, and found this forum to be the best, and most active one. We certainly need your help and suggestions to solve this problem.
Thank you, in advance and have a good one.
I would be interested to know if you ever found a way around this issue?

Samsung WM6.5 drivers not compatible with dlls. Please look at outdated cabs link above and go to last page for omnia solution. It works fine on my omnia with Wm6.1. I have tried on WM6.5 on Omnia with same results as yours.
So the only possible solution for Omnia 2 is to downgrade to WM 6.1?

Hi dhillonbros,
thanks for your new cabs. But now I am even not able to setup my SIP configurartion with Windows Mobile 6.1 on my Omnia II (as you know it is exactly the same ROM you have).
When trying to save the settings I always get the error message you can see in my attachments. What is going wrong here?
At least storing the settings worked for me with the latest outdated cab for WM 6.1. Do you think you can provide a fix?
That is not right. I have an Omnia 2 i8000 windows mobile 6.5 and I am able to use voip on my phone. It works great )!
1. Don't forget to follow the instructions from .txt file
2. I instaled portgo m
3. AutoAudioRoute V2.0
4. Copy paste dll in windows folder.
My PDA is i8000NXXJJ1

OK. Thanks a lot. Settings could have been applied now. But the error after submitting a call is still the same that I had before with the previous cab version.
See the message from the attached screenshot. I tried calling numbers like +491231234 as well as 00491231234 and 01231234 but the error is always the same.
What to do now?

There is nothing wrong with these cabs by looking on your images. either there is a problem with your local network or its your internet provider who doesnt supports or block voip packets. you only need one codec out of three, your phone wil self configure with provided codec. Can you untick SIP ALG service in both modem and router you may be using. If its not that then change your provider to voipvoip.com(US based). Let me know your results

My phone works great with other not integrated solutions like PortSIP or AGEphone Mobile, so my network is fine. And there should not be a problem with the codecs as well as PortSIP (I don't of the codecs AGEphone uses) uses G711U, G711A and GSM as well (I know of them because theses codecs are configurable over the GUI).
I use AVM FRITZ!Box 7390 as modem / router with its own SIP registrar. That means my Omnia II is configured to use my FRITZ!Box as a SIP server whereas my FIRTZ!Box is connected to my VoIP service provider (the popular German internet provider 1&1) and redirects the VoIP packets to them. It is totally transparent to the SIP client therefore no STUN / ALG (I never heard about ALG before) is used between the SIP client and my FRITZ!Box.
I am not willing to create an account at voipvoip.com because I definitely want to use the phone numbers I got from my ISP but I may provide you credentials for testing purposes to use a phone number from my ISP if you like.
PortSIP runs with the codec G711U as well as G711A with my provider 1&1. GSM does not work.
Moreover I tested a different VoIP configuration on my Omnia II against pbxes.org as an alternative to my routers SIP registrar with the same result.
I still assume a problem with the cabs. I really want to invite you to try to reproduce my problem by connecting against pbxes.org either by creating an own totally free account with registration to a SIP provider of your choice (I may help you with the configuration at pbxes) or by running against my own account at pbxes.org with a number of my ISP.
Please let me know whether you are interested then I will PM you the settings you need for temporary usage. Of course I will donate for your help.

Thanks for testing it out. On my omnia ii it is working with no problem with great voice clarity. I have changed few setting and tweaked for a-law. My provider is 2talk.co.nz. I still believe there must be some setting which needs enabling in your modem/router. can you bypass your routing by using differnt modem/router without server. Thanks

Hello again,
I already bypassed my router by configuring my pbxes.org account, didn't I? Anyway I now switched my router with integrated telephony services support by an older FRITZ!Box 3130 without telephony services to exclude any conflicts with reserved ports or somewhat else. And you know it: Same result.
Last but not least I tried a connection over 3G by activating that option within the configuration. But I failed already with selecting the service. The search action did not succeed.
I'm running out of ideas. What now? Shall I setup an account for you? I really wanna see whether you are able to reproduce my problem or not.
Thanks a lot.
