Wifi Problems

Hey guys,
I have a problem with the wifi connection on my phone. For some reason, it cannot connect to the school network.
https://sara.morehead-st.edu/ <--- this is the link for some requirements and where I have to download the root certificate they provide.
I try to connect, and I get a dialog asking for my username and password and I put it in but then I get "Unable to connect, connection requires a certificate to connect."
Here are what it says I must have:
Requirements
* Wireless LAN adapter with current drivers capable of:
o either 802.11a, 802.11b and/or 802.11g
o WPA/WPA2 (Wireless Protected Access)
o TKIP (Temporal Key Intergrity Protocol)
o PEAP (Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol)
MSChapV2 (Microsoft version 2 of Chap)
-OR-
EAP-TTLS
o IEEE 802.1x protocol
* Operating Systems:
o Windows XP
o Windows Vista
o Apple Mac OS X (10.3 or later)
o Windows Mobile 2003SE or later
o Linux or *BSD with suitable supplicant
* User Information:
o valid MSU Id
o valid Web PIN
o trusted root certificate

Edit: Also, do you guys know how I can get the program to trim music files? I used to be able to do it in either Windows Media Player or Audio Manager, but I can't find the feature anymore.
Ask your IT guy to export the root certificate as a .cer file for you and copy it to your PDA, it should install if you just click on it. Then go to system>certificates and the personal tab, the new certificate should be in there.
If you tap on the name it should give details of the cert. Click ok and go to root tab and the cert should be in there.
Hey,
The root.cer file actually does fine. It says "Certificate accepted" and what-not and then I can also click on connect and get the dialog asking for my username and password. For some reason after that it just won't work. Like it just says connecting and then eventually tries another connection.
The phone does support this system and has all the right things right?
Is there any programs that help with connections or increases options of your connection?
Please guys

sip tools configuration with auth ID

Hello people,
I have installed sip voip tools in my htc touch, but is not working. The problem is the configuration, I have a sip account of an argentinian provider which uses username, password, and auth id ( or pin), the problem is that the sip tools has only 2 textbox one for the user and the other for the password, and I need to put de "auth ID" which is different of the username, How can I fix this?
Thank you for your help and sorry for my english.

need help, can't get wifi certificate to install

I want to get my galaxy tab on my company's network.
I can issue the certificate in a .p12, export it giving it a password lets say "cert", sent it to my tab, but when i go to install it, it asks for the password, i put in "cert" and I get a "Please enter the correct password" error message.
Have any clue what is going wrong?
I think I had to rename my cert to either .pfx or .p12. Only one of them worked.
Apart from that, make sure you're using the password you used to sign the certificate - it may be different than your wifi password.
I had no problem importing a .p12 file with a password for my wireless network. Worked just the same as on my Android phone.
Make sure you aren't confusing the certificate password with the certificate store password. The certificate store has its own password which prevents unauthorized access to imported certificates.
If you don't have any other certificates, you can start from scratch, from Settings -> Location and Security I would do:
* Clear credentials
* Set password (this is the password used to allow access to credentials, you will need to enter this every time your tab is rebooted to allow access to your cerificate by the wireless stack)
* Ensure 'Use secure credentials' is ticked.
* Choose 'install from USB storage' to install your .p12. At this point it will ask for the password of the .p12 file
If that doesn't work, I would guess the problem is in how you are generating it. (Mine was provided for me so I don't know how that side of things works)

[Q] Installing Certificates on MIUI android

Hi.
I am trying to install Thawte primary root certificate so that I can connect to our corporate wifi.
I have HTC HD2 running MIUI android version 18.2
I go to settings -> Personal -> Security and Privacy -> Credential storage - Install from SD card
Clicking on "Install from SD card" gives error - "Impossible de trouver le certificat sur la carte SD."
I am running english not french. This seems to be the only message I have received in french. Also phone is not hooked up to PC while I am doing this.
Also use secure credentials is turned ON after I entered a credential storage password and nothing is greyed out.
Does someone know how to install certificate on MIUI or how to bring on the certificate manager.
I installed certificates with success. Android recognizes private certificate with .p12 extension
Sorry to re-open this thread, but how do you go about installing a root certificate? When I opened the .cer it says install successfull, but when adding a WiFi network it doesnt show any 'AS certificates' (using MIUI 1.11.18)
External. CER Certificate
