a2Dp graphic equalizer? - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Anyone know of a low-footprint equalizer that'll work over A2DP on an Artemis running WM6?
I want to boost the bass a bit more than SRS WOW lets you.

+1 - also SRS WOW seems to suck up a lot of CPU time.
I'd just be happy to be able to use the Niki Music Players EQ functionality via A2DP.

Does X1 have Mega Bass?

I bought VODA x1 yesterday. But I cannot find where the EQ is, when I'm listening to music. Does it really have EQ or not?
Thanks!

Media player supporting AVRCP!!!

Hi all Elf users,
I have bought a Sony DS970 BT Headset and use it with my Elfin. This BTH has play/pause and next/prev buttons in it thru which we can control the player in Elfin. These controls as of now works perfect with HTC Audio Manager and WMP. Prev I was using TCPMP, this doesnt work with my BTH so removed it. As u all know, HTC AM and WMP doesnt produce audio to its fullest ie., no audio enhancements available. So was looking around here and came to know 3 gr8 media players, core, kinoma and pocket.
Tried all these 3 players and none of these support my BTH functions. Does anybody knew anyother gud player which supports AVRCP or how to customize core or pocket or kinoma to accept my BTH functions?
This wuld b of a gr8 help for me.
T i A
Core and Kinoma are all proprietary companies, so its pretty hard to keep it working.
You only bet is Windows Media player, you can try writing in to core and see whether how it works.
writing in to core in the sense in their forums? I hv browsed thru their forum and there are numerous unanswered post related to AVRCP.. tht is the reason I posted in XDA.
As of now I am using HTC AM, cos, during playback, I can sense some audio lag in WMP.
No other player supports AVRCP? Wat abt GSPlayer?
Yes, Windows Media Player always lags.
I think HTC AM is the best bet, it runs and works well.
Why you need a new software for managing music?
I am a prev owner of Sony mobiles..also I am bass and loud music freak..in Sony I used to tweak the music files to get gr8 bass..when compare the sound quality wit HTC it is meagre..to be frank, after upgrading my ROM to WM 6.5, the bass puch is gud..but not satisfactory..HTC AM and WMP lack equaliser and audio enhancin options..so looking for a better player..tried SRS, but it screwed my in-call sound..so dnt wnt to try it again.
I know that the Onyx 4.6 and Onyx 5 ROMS have the built in equalizer, its called Audio Boaster and It can be found in the programs menu.
the booster works only with a headset connected to the Elfin physically and not via bluetooth.

Not at all. Kinoma Play's AVRCP support "just works" with phones that use the standard (Microsoft) Bluetooth stack.
If you're feeling adventurous (i.e. be sure to backup before you try), Captain_Throwback posted a standards-compliant replacement for the HTC stack here.

Thanks for the reply.

There are some music players around that have their own equalizer. Pocket Player (conduits) has besides an equilizer also some audio plugins like 3d sound, bass boost etc.

[Huawei P8] you use DTS?

Just wondering if you guys use DTS audio?
of course, the sound feels so much better, without it its just, boring, with no life

I guess it depends on the genre of music you listen to and the headphones /earphones you use, I find it makes the audio sound less crisp and removes the depth of the low end. It also comes down to personal preference.

im using Piston 3 for dayli use, and Sony MDR-V700DJ for more serious listening. DTS is lossy format so its not the same quality as stock audio file, but i think its negligible diference for common people and the overall experience from music is better with DTS enabled, it feels more alive and it makes you like you are surounded by the music :good:

I use Sony MDR-XB700 over ear headphones for serious listening, for casual listening I use Sony MDR-10rc, I have the same issue with both of these headphones. I also have the same issue with my monster 24k and monster DNA.
Is this a problem? I also use a Topping NX2 headphone amplifier. The issue is there with or without the amplifier so I doubt that it is the problem.

It also depends on that what audio file format are you listening. Most of my music is MP3 but i have couple albums in FLAC, there is noticable difference in quality between those formats, but i cant not hear big difference with DTS enabled or disabled in case of quality. Next thing is, DTS is not for everyone, it also depends on genre as you mentioned, i have some tracks which sound better with no edits, some Rock, Jezz music etc, but for Trap, Techno, Pop etc it is pleasure.
Are you using stock music player?

What application do you use?
Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-L09 using XDA-Developers mobile app
is there any other audio app that can utilize DTS other then stock player?
as rest ITT, i use stock player with DTS for electronic music.
I switch off DTS or use another player (Black player is GREAT) for my metal and acoustic guitar needs.

Emui has DTS option in settings, that option applies DTS systemwide. Music player has DTS option to include or exclude DTS effect to music, some people like DTS in movies but not in Music etc.
ah i see, this it:?

Audio tuner/Bass booster

Is there any music player/audio tuner/equalizer i can use to use the full bass in my earphones because the default audio tuner sucks with such flat bass. My previous zenfone had audiowizard and got good bass. I get bass in laptops/other phones.
I personally use ViPER4Android FX 2.5.0.5 [Unity/AML] which is working well.
Just install Snapdragon music player. Enable both audio tuner and Snapdragon+ equalizer. You'll be amazed by the sound quality. No root required. Tune the equalizer according to your need.
How about this https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/soundmod-axon-7-dolby-atmos-t3412342/page303
