I just had my PPC-6800 replace and I am setting up everything but I forgot how to turn off the SMS pop up. Not the message sent, but when I recieve a new message it pops up with message on the screen. How do I turn that off?

OK excuse me if Im asking a retarded question, but how do you turn off the text message notification every time an email comes in? I already get alerted for the email itself, dont need a text for it too!
I had this problem with my phone and T-6Mobile. It was on the network side and T-Mobile fixed the problem. I would suggest conacting your opeator.

I've searched but found nothing,, since I Flashed to Touch IT I'm no longer able to send SMS messages.. I can receive them but not send them..
After I press send I wait about 5 seconds to get an error 'Your text message can not be sent' when I press OK the status bar at the bottom of the screen says 'error synchronizing'. Can anyone help me with a fix?
(since installing Touch IT the activesync is always on.. anything to do with ?)

As before, I can send recieve email, but can only recieve sms.. when I try to send an SMS I get an error 'Your text message can not be sent' and the message is moved to the outbox..

Need some help i had restore my phone and now when i get an sms and the phone is on standby mode i dont get to see the message till i turn on.
Is there any settings i need to change for this option.

confusing question. first when you receive a message, the light indicator on top color green starts blinking. and i am sure you cant read sms i standby mode until you open the message folder or in touchflo. . rephrase your question.
Sorry to confuse you what i mean was, last time when my phone was on standby mode and i get a message, it will display the lock screen and show me there is a message. i can unlock the phone and read the message or on the lock screen scroll down and read the message.
but now when i get a message i hear the message tone and my screen in blank (standby mode) i need to click the button to active the screen then i either unlock the screen or scroll down to read.

ahan so you are saying that now when you receive a message the screen doesn't automatically lights up. try soft rest. if softy doesn't work then hard reset that for sure will solve it.
I understand your question, it is when you open ur phone, you will see a preview of the message on your screen am i right?
When you restored the settings went to default, heres how you get it back.
start>settings>sound and notifications>notifications tab>
On event : choose text message
And tick display message on screen.
Done

huh? even hard reset? get a new rom.
when i look through a text message convo, the messages are back to front, like say i send a message asking a question, it would show the answer first and then the question, you cant make sense of the conversation because all the messages are mixed around. how can i fix it?

Sounds like your time is set wrong, probably need to set it back a minute or two
Just started doing this a little while ago but whenever I recieve a text it will send me multiple alerts for it. I can literally reply to the text lock my phone and it will send me an alert for the last message someone else sent me I swipe it away and then it goes off again for the message I just replied. Why do i need an alert for my own message i typed it why would I need an alert to see that? I tried looking through all the setting and short of turning notifications off all together I cant find how to get rid of this repeat pop ups. Someone please make me feel dumb and show me how to turn this off.
