i hope someone out there could help me to solve this problem.

never went back from post wm5 to older roms so i dont have any exp with it
but did you flash the extentedrom nbf file? if not you may have to reflash that using the flashtool same as if you were flashing rom or radio
and does it include the config.txt where all cabs to be run are listed
and the autorun.exe or what ever it's called?
thanks for your reply rudegar,
the problem is, i cant get into my xda at all, no bootloader screen appears. even though the usb cable plugged in, my PC wont recognize it. I can say it is in dead state.
do you have any clue, if its true dead, hoq to ressurect it?
I hope you or someone could come up with something

please help! I have made a wrong ROM Update for my Artemis. The result is that it doeasn`t starts anymore. I see only the start screen no more. If i make a SW or HW reset tahn i see a 3 colored screen and USB. But i don`t get a connection via usb to my compute`! How can i wake up my Artemis ???
tell use more what did you do and how did you do it?
what artemis is it?
what rom was it
Flash went sour..
You need the original ROM which was on your device when you bought it. What version (HTC, MDA, etc..) and what language was the original ROM?
please i need help too
I guess I made the same or a similar mistake that dr.moppi did. My machine is a Dopod P800 from mainland china with the chinese operating system. I flahsed it with PDAMobiz_Dopod_P800W_AKU301_v1.1.2_PowerMap. Don't really remember what the original ROM was but now when i turn it on it freezes when it lights up. On the screen, it says
IPL 1.27.0001
SPL 1.27.0000
GSM 02.67.90
OS 1.28.0.0
DOPOD
I don't get a connection through usb to the computer either. I am not sure if I did the hard reset correctly. Didn't understand the instruction on that "press the soft key left and right and soft reset at the same time." Anyway, you guys are all experts, can you help me please?
it should be the same as my problem
if i remeber than i used the same ROM Update :-(
I hope anyone could give us a solution, please.
@dr. moppi we can only help you if we know what version you had before.
@empathyvirus you have to look for the original ROM which, in your case, should be the Chinese Dopod ROM. Install that one and your good to go.
Without the original ROM the only thing left to do is: sending your device to your provider or contact and sent it to the guys of imei-check. Either way, you'll probably have to pay to get it fixed.
how to install original rom
Thanks for your quick reply Pyth. In the case I get the original ROM from somewhere, how do I install it if I can't get a connection between the phone and my computer? Can you advice?
Put your device in bootloader by pressing the record button and reset at the same time. If you have your USB-cable connected between your PC and your phone it will indicate a connection by 'USB' in the left corner of your device. Now you should be able to run the ROM executable and update your device.
thanks anyway
i tried but it didn't seem to work. anyway, i have troubled you enough and maybe it's best i just go to the repair centre of dopod and pay for a fix. i really appreciate your help though Pyth.
Where can i find the t-mobile rom its the MDA Compact III that wont start for me
Hi!
Please someone can help me?
I have a O2 XDA Exec with a SDHC 8GB...
I'm the second or third user that own this device. Because this, I don't know about roms upgrades with precision, but it's running WM5.
All was work fine... But some days ago, it was stopping in a black screen when I perform a simple soft reset...
I tryed remove the battery, all the cards (include the simcard), but the problem still there...
I tryed a hard reset, but the problem still there...
I tryed all that I know, but the problem still there again...
Trouble details:
The O2 XDA Exec aleatory freeze in a black screen after soft reset.
I persists pressing Reset key with some seconds intervals, untill it (aleatory) turn on the screen and load WM5.
The Bootloader and the HardReset screens comes normaly when calleds.
When I perform a hardreset, immediatly happen an freeze without the new system never was loaded before.
I disassembly the device and test the RESET key... there is no problem.
My big suspect is something corrupt in device's bootloader or other "BIOS" program.
I use many PDAs for a long time (8 years ago), but never see nothing like that...
Seed someone something like this before?
How can I solve this problem?
Can someone help me please?
Thanks a lot.
P.S.lease, excuse my poor english...

Hello
First I am many sorry if repeat but I still not know what I can do. I buy mobile and I thing is Type 2b (still on operator logo) but I don´t know how I can find solution, because I tryed flash with many roms and I tryed latest radio rom and everything done but when is finish it restart and than is still in orange logo (or HTC and etc). and about two seconds show NO GSM.
I have SPV m3100 with SPL-1.40.Olipro.
PLEASE help me I cant find solution !!!
Many thanks and many sorry if repeat threat
Try a hard reset. You DON'T have Hard SPL on your phone. It may be unlocked but it may not be Supercid. The best idea would be to flash the original carrier rom on to it and see if that fixes it THEN flash Hard SPL on it.....
Good Luck...
Its possible you may not be able to recover your radio rom...
Hello,
Thank you, but I tryed originall shipped rom and original rom from orange site. Everythings done fine. I tryed also radio rom and it done OK. I dont know what I can do.
Please can you send me links for there roms which I can flash?
I wish I can repair.
Thank you in advance.
If the shipped rom fails you are probably looking at a permanent brick. There are some other things you can try using MTTY but it may not be hopeful. This is one of the pitfalls of buying a "bricked" phone. It may not be fixable and you spent $$$ that could've been spent more usefully elsewhere...
Hello,
thank you for reply, and how I can use there MTTY and when I start it it is like other working pda and it flash led lights, only for second, like when you flash new rom and when start and then it flash light and then screen change for "tap on screen" but here only flash and dont change screen.
Do you know what I mean?
Does it say "tap on screen to setup"?
If so you may be looking at a bung digitizer. You will need to replace the LCD to fix this.
Hello,
no, it is only like it, it stay orange logo, but when "blik" "NO GSM" it blik all display and than stay in orange logo too
Do you thing if JTAG help me?
can't say, never used. You do need some technical skill to use the Jtag method...
yes I have some technical skills but I dont have any schematic of jtag cable.
EDIT: I find some pdf with two schematics:
1. Holly Gates' Schematics for the JTAG Dongle
2. Modified Schematic for the JTAG Dongle Circuit Using 74LS541
Which can I use?

thank you for your patience and for help
Many Thanks for the replies.
I followed the link and i'm confident it will solve my problem. Unfortunately I cannot get mtty to offer "USB" from the dropdown. I remember going round in circles trying to get USB show a few years ago with a SPV C550.
If anyone can help me, that would be great. I'm using Vista. This might be why the steps in both the initial post and replies on the first page don't work for me.
I am seriously needing some light shed over here please some one i have been hunting and hunting, I even wrote a post to try to get help please help me so if any one else needs any help like this I may be able to help them also.
My phone was going through a flash when it restarted it got "Bricked" at the Windows Mobile splash screen. I want to know is there any way I can unbrick my Cingular HTC 8525 Herm100 device, via SD(micro). I have reformated my card but it still wont go to the bootloader, I have witnessed the small text at the bottom left of the screen that reads "No GSM" imediately after the phone comes on. Now either I am over reading something or missed something but if I could trouble some of the devs, admins, users, or even (not recommended, but im desperate to get working) flamers...
Please help me so that I may help others later on. Thank you
Im not a know it all....but I'll try and help.
Questions...
1) Have you tried to do a Manual load of the Boot-loader (POWER+OK+RESET)..?
Usually I HOLD the POWER+OK then hit the RESET while still holding the other two buttons, until the boot-loader loads.
2) Try taking out your Sim's card, see if the NO GSM is still there...?
I've had this problem on other phones in the past.
3) Unbricking using the SD card..? try doing a SEARCH THIS FORUM option for a
more dedicated search...
I would use a USB cord for the unbricking, as I have had better chances of undoing a brick.
Also you can used a "Motorola Razr", USB cord also with this phone for the USB options.
Well hope something works for you.
Thanks and good Luck.
Jake Howe
You also need to have installed Hard SPL V7... If you haven't then I hope you have a copy of your SHIPPED STOCK ROM as this may be th eonly thing that will fix your Hermes. If it has the "No GSM" error then its possible you will still have a brick. It generally means the radio rom is corrupted and is impossible to fix...
Thank you guys for the response I have reversed the brick of the phone a few days ago. My other question is, do anyone know how/or if it is possible to flash the phone and lock it to an "IDEN" type phone or know the Network ID Code for a Carrier called, boost mobile; a subsidiary of Sprint/Nextel.
