Typing Speeds - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus General

Hey everyone! It's me (again) posting (again) hehe. Well, I'm just wondering if anyone has noticed this:
While typing using the touch screen, fast, even with XT9.
Typing on keyboard with XT9 or ABC is sometimes slow, and misses a letter that you push (rarely) but happens.
Has this happened to anyone else? Or am I just not used to the keyboard still ?

happened here.

it makes me angry. is there any kinda fix for this?

not that i know of. its probably a hardware bug.

well do you think there might be a solution to this?
is anyone else having this same problem? id consider it something serious.
its skipping buttons if you type fast! (which I do)!

Problem fixed install these and follow the directions and you'll see how it works great! Wow... How ironic!

pocketcm question

i love the keyboard but i was wondering if there is anything out there that is as intelligent as the iphone keyboard. For instance, the software, over time, recognizes the general area of where your thumb presses a key and adjusts so you always hit the key. anyone know what i am talking about?
well anyone know of any keyboard that does that or if the new pocketcm will have it?
i can search online,or you can come www.fine-nike.com to find, there are have many products,as like shoes, clothes, and so one
From David Pogue:
"* Although you don’t see it with your eyes, the sizes of the keys on the iPhone keyboard are changing all the time. That is, the software enlarges the “landing area” of certain keys, based on probability.
For example, supposed you type “tim.” Now, the iPhone knows that no word in the language begins timw or timr—and so, invisibly, it enlarges the “landing area” of the E key, which greatly diminishes your chances of making a typo on that last letter. Very cool."
That is what i mean.

anyway, as said above ^^^, touchpal has mistyping correction built-in. i personally dont care much for that keyboard.
but something GREAT that i didnt even know about is...the standard htc touch keyboard kind of has it!!
you can try typing "timw" and get time! just make sure and go into the input settings, and check all boxes. do not, however, check "multi-tap correction". this i think does help improve typing prediction a little, but it prevents the keyboard from searching your contacts in "to:" fields.
hope this helps!

Input problems with ABC type input

Hello there,
after finally repairing my nikes screen, i upgraded to one of those new wm6.5 roms (the ones from NemanjaLO ). Everything works great, except one problem with typing on my 16-key nike: if i type a letter, and remove it before it gets unmarked, it will appear again as soon as i try to continue typing! other people confirmed this issue, however we seemed to be ignored / no one had a solution.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
BJK found an issue with this a while back when he was doing the EZInput 1.5 cabs. Can't remember how he sorted it but might be worth checking the thread in Development and Hacking.
I have the same problem also and I too find it very irritating.
Did you find anything on this?

problem with typing

I have got a problem on typing with either the keyboard or the Finger Keyboard on my X1.
Once I type some symbols ,like space, commas etc. ,the symbol will be underlined for about 2-3 secs. I will need to wait until it to disappear, otherwise if i continue to type the letters will be messed up becoz the typing line will go back to where the symbol is.
It is quite annoying when I am typing fast. Are there any registries about the symbols waiting time or something to fix it ?
Thanks.

No i am sure that isnt lag. I think that you are not very clear about my situation.I can type smooth on letters but there's something like waiting time when i type the symbols.

Ok, gtrab http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3975971&postcount=934 has found the problem, and I just made a cab to solve the problem in any affected rom.
Just install the cab and enjoy.
Obviously you sould have to tanks gtrab for his investigation, not me for a 30 sec work ;-)

Input lag on 6.5 builds later than 23017

I, and others over at modaco have noticed a serious lag when inputting text on the newer builds. It takes almost a full second before there i am able to type another letter. And to zoom in on Opera i have to wait about a half second on the double taps.
If anyone else has experienced this lemme know, and also if anyone has found a fix that would be great. There are many of us that would like to to use the new 23034 build but cannot do to the lag creating an unusable circumstance.
Thanks all.

It replaces the biotouch.dll. The one that comes with the newer wm6.5 builds causes this behaviour, so replacing the dll fixed it for me.
i've tried it but unfortunately the input lag is still there after installing and soft resetting my omnia. Though, i managed to eliminate the input lag by installing and enabling ftouchSL. wierd.
Change HKLM/System/GWE/Touch/Filter/MinimumTapTime to 0.
