* Visual and sound notifications confirming assigned actions execution
* Settings export and import functionality
* Additional kinetic-scrolling parameters
* "Tasks switcher" plug-in added.
Improvements:
* Scrolling and kinetic-scrolling engines improved to scroll smoother in slow applications
* FTouchSL is now compatible with the Transcriber and Windows™ internal calibration utility
* Better VGA devices support (especially ETen devices)
Other changes:
* Fixed German and Russian translations
* Old gestures renamed:
o "UpDown" to "Down Slide"
o "DownUp" to "Up Slide"
o "LeftRight" to "Right Slide"
o "RightLeft" to "Left Slide"
In addition in this version we have fixed most of known bugs.
More details about new features can be found on the Product information page.
Registered customers can upgrade to this version free of charge:
- Download new version from Download page and install it.
- Request new license key in the Client area.

Small, fast, light, and best of all - all the feature improvements will make it all the better. Not to complain, so I won't!

Great work!!

i dont mean to nag, but this is technically advertising, as this is not freeware.
I know we do tend to tolerate more from senior members (selling old devices especially)

I have looked a couple of times but what do the program parameters have to do with anything? I can set up other stuff fine but jsut wanted to know what it was and how to use it. Thanks

It may be an advertisement, but how long did the original free version sit on this forum, in fact it's still available. If you ask me, efrost has done excellent work here and if he wants to update us on newer versions, then I'm sure numerous people would be more than okay with it.

i agree cause after all this fourm is about sharing ideas or products

I love it! Thanks!

Its okay if efrost advertise his application because he has made the free version already for us..the previous version..and I really appreciated it..anyway without advertising this site will be boring since you won't find out about new products and applications..just my 2 cent

perhaps he or you could share that (N-0.1 version : N=2.7)free version too ,rather than warez killing babies people are providing source code for icontact already in other thread,it depends which way one wants to go. it also depends with what motive do developers reach to xda-developers website ,in history i have seen tcpmp player 0.71 RC1 source and player were provided which is still being used by most of us which streamlined and became core player 1 later which least of us use ,it is now lying some tiny extinct corner of the hard drive. unlike tcpmp 0.81 which is still playing lyrics youtube flash videos and aac and will go on and on. choice is yours because you have a better vision of your software .

efrost gave me lifetime registration as a result of donating and supporting his early ftouchflo verion. This is totally in the right spirit and I'm very excited to see the new version and its features!
About the new gestures, would you be able to add Left-Down and Right-Down in the next update? It's easier and less tiring than Up-Right and Up-Left - more natural because it falls with gravity.
With these added you could use the two as excellent gesture pairs. If there's a PPC program that can restore last-minimised application (is there??), you could use Right-Down to minimise, then Up-Left to bring it up again!

If you use QuickMenu, you can create a shortcut through the options, to "activate next" or "activate prev", it will create the shortcuts in your programs directory.

Looks like this version fixes bug that my touchscreen freezes after suspend. Good work, because I had this bug in ftouchflo, touchcommander and even in spb pocket plus!
Good work, I'll probably buy it

I most certainly do use Quickmenu, sounds great! However I can only see "activate next"...I go down to bottom of list using my D-pad, right down to "Option" but can't find "Activate previous".
I use version 2.7.387.1527.

I tried for a day the new 2.7 version and for 3 times until now suddently the touch screen doesn't work at all. I can recalibrate the screen and this works fine but after calibration the touch screen again doesn't respond at all, only keys works. This solved only after soft reset. I tested to eten glofiish X600.

bull**** man...
first create a product and get FREE testing from the community then improve it and sell it. GOOSSH, you forget where you came from.
Would be more fair to create a free version and a non-free(if at all) version.

I don't think this is kinda fair.. efrost create a freeware which most of us benefit from it greatly.
He then take it further and developed a much more advanced piece of application where one now needs to pay. I don't understand why can't he do that?
For those who wants the freeware, it's still available around here. For those who don't mind paying for a greater featured piece of application, he/she can do so too.
So, what's wrong with his actions? It's not like he took away the freeware where people contributed their input to. Not to mention that he improved on that to a certain extent based on the feedback. I don't think he did it to get free testing.. I think he saw the potential to convert the freeware to a more advance piece of application which he can earn some cash, which I believe will enable him to further develop the software or other piece of softwares, which in turn will benefit the WM community.

Calling all programmers to help finish xperia-like Dynamo 3 task switcher!

Hey all,
I have been in contact with the author of the Dynamo task switcher program for a little while now, and he has decided to give up work on a new version of the program because he does not have enough time to devote to it anymore (if you haven't heard of it, look here: http://www.aspecto-software.com/punbb/viewforum.php?id=2). As such, he's released the source code, which I am posting here. I'm hoping some industrious programmers here with some time on their hands could have a look at it, and finish where he left off. Here is what he's written about it.
"Although I truly think Dynamo is a great application and deserves to be maintained, I have been unable to find enough time to finish off and release a new version.
The source you'll find here is an almost completed new version of Dynamo that I had hoped would work on phones. As you may be aware, Dynamo 2 will not work on Windows smartphones and the aim of this version was to create a single version that worked on both standard PDAs and phones.
When built, the current code will execute on a phone and try to hook up one of the hard-keys as a key to launch Dynamo. When clicked, this key will then activate Dynamo and show the programs in the dynamo interface as expected (if this fails for any reason simply manually launch Dynamo again to activate it). The apps can then be selected as per Dynamo's normal behaviour. The program is indeed near completion. In my opinion all that needs to be done to get it completed (for the phone at least) is to correctly identify the applications that are phone operating system ones and not worth displaying (you'll notice that currently Dynamo displays a few applications that are OS caretaking apps, and can't really be selected), and to generally tidy up the interface to make it look nice for release.
Please note that all the code is released under the GNU software license, as follows...

This is great news! I just tried 3d alt tab yesterday, but it lacks the random access that Dynamo gives. Also with the Xperia coming out soon I expect this kind of animated task switcher will become very popular (for phones that are not the xperia of course).

Yeah, I think the random access on this program if far superior to the 3D alt-tab program that is being developed here. I've been using Dynamo 2 for months now, and it's really fantastic, just needs landscape support, exclusion ability, and a couple other tweaks and it'd be perfect. According to the author the new version posted here only requires a little more work to complete, so hopefully someone will look into it.
Pretty please?
bump.

Come on people, this is probably the greatest task-switcher program ever written for Windows Mobile and there's not a single developer on here that wants to put the finishing touches on an almost completely written code?!
I second to that!!!
+1
People - come on, join with this, the more requests we get, the more the probability rises that someone will notice this and act.
Strongly agree

It means being able to instantly access any of running programs (so you can see list/thumbnails of _all_ running programs and just click the one you need), as opposed to sequential access (only next and previous program) used in 3d alt-tab.

Finger-friendly Homepage!

I'm working on a new concept for a homepage for all touch devices.
I know it's not the greatest idea of all, but I really think it's good enough to have some value.
I wont release all details as I have a decent amount planned, but here goes...
http://neotelos.com/mobile/
Works great in opera beta and firefox, PIE is very underdeveloped and I've had issues...so no support at the moment, but may come in the future.
So far it's only a preview of what is to come, I'd like to know what you guys think so far.
I've even seen alot of touch PCs and Tablets emerging, and hope to aim towards that audience too!
Got it working with keys now
I can't wait to get this done...I'm also making this so I have something nice for even my own homepage.
nice idea...
what do you intend to put in there ?
I confess - I don't see the point in this, you're using an onhover effect wich won't be activated in a mobile - because theres no such thing as on hover on a touchscreen.
Sorry, I may be being ignorant.
interesting, the page is working on opera. in qvga mode, the font is oversize.

im no mobile web developer (although I've done my fair share of sites), but isn't the onhover property applied when the user taps the link? at least I think that's what is does in the iphone
Yes, is true.
The only issues that I haven't found a way to overcome:
1) Override context menu
2) Capture drag action
I plan on making a user-customizable CMS (Content Management System) and hope to just keep adding features over time.
My first goal is to allow users to setup accounts which they can customize links and content to their liking.
Like I said, it's nothing major, just something that might come in handy as there aren't many good web portals designed for mobile.
Edit:
Oh, yeah, it doesn't use hover, it actually grabs when the mouse moves and calculates actions...for a number of reasons I chose this method, may not be the most oiptimal but I find it to be more compatable.
When a user taps the screen, or even ends a drag, when the pressure is lifted mouse movement is activated. Not to mention it works with arrow keys and overrides the scrolling, so it can be used with devices w/o touchscreens.

I think having the whole login account would be overkill, unless the user does not delete his or her cookies after each session
Neotelos, this is a very cool idea, but why don't you team up with whoever made Touch-innovation.com and develope it with him? he created it not a long while ago and it would be much more productive if you guys did that together instead of creating a whole new one (just a thought )
nir36: Not too bad of an idea, I've his site before and it's a nice start. Just that this is a web design geared for mobile devices, not resources for them. Maybe I'll shoot him a message and see if he wants to form an affiliation, who knows.
mbarvian: There's a few ideas I have, one would be just to use a simple URL for a basic start page, with configuration password protected. ex: somewebsite.com/somehomepage.php?user=myusername

I don't see that his site is the busiest and if he can't even respond to messages as a courtesey, i don't think i'll be working with him. thanks for the advice though.

Feature requests - give them to me!

Hey,
I am parsing a list of feature requests for the next update on touch innovation
Basically post whatever you want to see on there to make your browsing experience easier!
Thanks
(see sig for link)
not sure if you have this already
but how about a mobile version of the site where you can
easily download the cab files to the phone
-=edit=-
Sorry you have already something similar
Keep up the good work
Yeah I do,
It will automatically re-direct you if your on your phone! But this feature is to be improved. I am also recoding the website's html to make it more cross-browser compatible!
Another feature soon to come will be "Add applications LIVE to the website" where you can add a program, choose the category and it will add it, with of course lots of security such as only cabs and zips allowed, and it will warn you when you download a "User-submitted" application, that it is liable for virus's. But each and everyone will be checked by our admin team.
Any more ideas?
Thanks
Specific descriptions of what the programs are and do. The "copy and paste" of the author's descriptions aren't always descriptive enough to figure out what the programs really do or if they're worth a try.
The names themselves are good clues, but it's limiting.
I would also suggest taking out the narrative and simply write what the programs are. For example:
HTC Home Customizer:
"Do you have a HTC phone, that has the htc today plugin? No? Ah well doesn't matter because this programs automatically downloads and installs it for you, not only that.. but it lets you customize it to the tiniest detail.
Enjoy!"
Why not just say that it "The program customizes and if needed, installs the HTC Today plugin."
One sentence that says the same thing.
Or...
iContact - Burt Edition:
"Truburt has done it again. Yet more features, including:
- Improved scroll speed
- Improved search feature
- Lots of small improvements
- Lots of bug fixes.
Enjoy!"
This should be in the features section and a description of the program (it's differences to the others) should be there.
You get the idea. There's a lot of good stuff there, but I might just be the only one that have a hard time figuring out what the new programs do. It'll be obvious to a regular user, but to someone new, it'll be hard to figure out the difference between the three... four... five? iContact programs.
On that note, I suggest removing the old versions of Burt's iContact.
And maybe put the Main Features right under the Information section.

bell ui works fine on my xperia. i think its the same as pro not sure though
try it it has more features than this version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3013840#post3013840
Also runs as a panel. Seems to be pretty good so far (2 mins worth of play).
Thanks i'll check it out.
It's really fast and smooth. Seems like an exceptionally well thought-out UI, good solutions. One of the better I have seen for WinMo. I'd say I'll get the Pro version as soon as it is released!
point UI is an example on how software should be written. its small, fast, very optimized and highly functional. sony should have hierd these guys to write their joke (panels)
seems to have a lot of potental but what i noticed so far:
-the arabic text does not work on this (works fine everywhare else)
-there is a lot of wasted spaces on the wvga version
-some parts are not finger friendly
-looks a little too plane. tf3d looks better
-not enough customization
-email and SMSs should show more text with all the free spaces unused
I expected more from the program.
I don't like it. Don't ask me why. Just doesn't feel right...
Any way to disable the RSS feed on the home page of the UI?
Here's how to add your own city:
http://community.pointui.com/topic/cities-and-wheather
fatso485, I think the wasted space is there because they have no separate version for WVGA which utilizes the extra space - they just use the VGA code and unfortunately ignore to take advantage of the additional pixels. Perhaps in the final release? And there's applets and themes, I think they might change that
Russian language does not work at all.
they've done too much hipe...
useless panel, as said, too much wasted space and the info is not really accesible easily.
I'm back to SE panel, looks better and it's great for home screen: calendar, date, weather, connectivity buttons, launcher, agenda, tasks, missed things... all at glance in a single panel, no need to go to submenus.
program launcher is better using the startmenu>programs and for contacts, they are too small, icontact does a better job.
also, I think TouchFlo does a better job than this pointui thing... I think I was specting too much from the 2.x update T_T
does it works in landscape mode?

I read on their website that Touchflo 3D actually is a customized version of PointUI Home, and I'd say Home 2 seems to have potential that goes beyond Touchflo. Especially with the built-in support for customization and applets.

Dosbox 0.72 CVS with dynrec core

Just wanted to give everyone the heads up... n0p posted on his site a few days ago that he has been working on the aforementioned project, but he would like some help. Since this guy has already released both 0.61 and 0.63 for WM, I have a lot faith in him.
I see only two issues;
1) His site doesn't seem to have any contact info. Does anyone know him? Does he post here? If people want to help, it would be good if they posted his contact info.
2) n0p is apparently still using a iPaq 2210. We should seriously donate this guy some money to put towards newer tech. He has released so much good stuff for WM (Warcraft II, Genesis emu, PocketSNES, etc), we should try to give back to him a bit. I'll gladly be the first to donate!
PS - Sorry if this is a re-post. I could find any other references to this here.
Donate all you want but don't encourage him to get a new PocketPC! Ancient hardware equals tighter code and more optimizations for a software developer
n0p updated his site, you can find his email on the front page.
Great! Glad to hear someone got ahold of him.
Well, I'd hate to make things more complex, but at bare minimum some thought should be given to different resolutions since the vast majority of WM devices coming out now are VGA, WVGA or greater.
Some keyboard fixes would be nice too since using 'shift' or 'function' on any HTC device causes Dosbox to crash.
No one else interested in this?
I'm interested! Heh
He updated his site a few days ago, and there's a new build

There is a WIP-Build ready on his site:

He's got an anti-leech script, so direct linking wont work. You have to download it from his site

DOSBox 0.72 released!
Credits:
DOSBox Team for best DOS emulator ever!
Cool toolbars by Jehl Xavier
Fast update code by Yury Sidorov
Built with fastest compiler GCC 3.3.3 for PocketPC by mamaich
ARM dynamic core by M-HT
What is done:
Some speed-wise core hacks.
QVGA scalers. Full 8bpp support, partial 16bpp support (320px wide modes)
All fine goodies from previous releases.
Notes:
Normal and prefetch cores removed. Simple is combined with verysimple, as verysimple has fallback to simple. So core has three settings: simple, full and dynamic.
Memory requirements: 9MB dor DOSBox itself + memsize + 8MB if dynamic core is used.
Personally, i don't see much use for dynamic core unless you wanna run some old 4K intros - yes, it can ran them really fast!
GUS and MIDI removed.
DOSBox port now makes usage of mapper.
Quick list of PocketPC-related dosbox.conf options (they do have a description in configfile), just some notes here:
fullscreen=true - false is only for testing.
rotateright=false
kbdtoolbar=toolbar.dbk
gametoolbar=game.dbk
settoolbar=set.dbk
usescancodes=false - i think setting to true might break PocketPC hw keys compability.
sensitivity=300 - "Mouse" speed. Has effect on touchpadmouse and dpadmouse.
touchpadmouse=true
clickms=70 - increase this value if in touchpad mode your program doesn't respond to emulated "clicks".
rightclickdelay=700
dpadmouse=false
forcetoolbar=true
forcetransparent=true
forcezone=0,0,20,8 - very dumb parser used, don't add spaces between values.
forceheight=50
PocketPC mapper.txt values:
hand_mbtn_left "key 194" - Left mouse button.
hand_mbtn_right "key 195" - Right mouse button.
hand_mbtn_mdl - Middle mouse button.
hand_force_tlbr "key 193" - Toggle toolbar forced mode.
hand_mm_up "key 273" - if dpadmouse - move mouse up.
hand_mm_down "key 274" - ... down
hand_mm_left "key 276" - ... left
hand_mm_right "key 275" - ... right
Quick answer to "How can i get my key codes?" - Fire my Genesis Plus port, open ROM, press keys - their codes will be shown on screen.
Lacks:
VGA support, full 16bit modes support, 32bit modes support, new toolbar editor.
It's been updated to 0.73 for a while, and there was a new release a couple of days ago as well. Still no VGA support
You can grab it at his site: http://n0p.8bit.fm/
The site in the original post doesn't seem to work
