if I reset the phone too many times, soft reset or hard reset, and flash rom too many times, will damage the device?
Many ROM cookers here have done hundrends of flashes, hard and soft resets. If they have not problem... then surely you will not have either!

but it din't work on the jasjar.

thank's in advance.
Hmm.. the call timer on my O2 Exec got auto reset after I performed a hard reset for some reason... Is it supposed NOT to do that?
re,
no it is not suppose to do that.
man you are lucky.
haven't tried the hard reset yet.
how do you hard reset it?
i guess the same old way power + reset.
am i right?
Hard Reset
Hit the two "-" on the keyboard and the reset at the same time
If you do a hard reset and a rom update to the radio I know it will reset the timer.

Click to collapse
I made a ROM upgrade for the radio and a hard reset in the same time, but the timers are not reset.
Regards,
I will work on it tonight and try to build a cab if I can find all the files
Oh yeah, I DID upgrade the radio ROM at the time of hard reset, and the timer DID reset for me
I have done a ROM upgrade several times on my Jasjar. In fact once I have also chnaged it to the O2 Executive and back to the Jasjar but under no circumstances did the call timer reset itself. Personally I think it is not possible by the user.
My titan keeps soft resetting on is own, it'll boot up to the splash screen the all of a sudden soft reset by itself. can anybody out there help?
DO a hard reset. Did you just install a custom rom or radio?
I did a hard reset, and its a custom ROM but i've had it for months. This just started today
I say reflash everything
just did, still same issue, i even did a new ROM. the phone didnt soft reset at all while i had it in bootloader mode
Then I say a hardware failure and time for a replacement
Any idea on what might be causing it?
A hardware failure. Some chip on the pc board is going bad.
Thanks man.
I had flashed a ROM on my wife's Mogul awhile back and it has just started doing the SAME thing... random soft resets... so before blaming hardware there might be a reason why multiple people are having this issue....
Have any of you tried this out yet.

Hi guys, after Rom upgrades etc I have difficulty in doing hard resets, usually just pull the battery and bumble on......is there an easy way or trick etc?
Thanks
Welcome to XDA!!
Sorry...but just trying to clarify...
Hard reset or soft reset? To hard reset, go to settings>system>Clear Storage
Then you'll have a freshly installed rom (no user added software).
Pulling out the battery or turning the phone off is the same as a soft reset...
What are you trying to do anyways?
After ROM flash...a lot of the instructions said do a hard reset by pressing the volume buttons and then the on/off while doing back flips with a can of baked beans between your knees.......honestly I just wanted to do a Hard Reset after flash and ensure it worked........could not tell up till now ....thanks heaps for the reply and info, much appreciated
I did a soft reset and now the WinMo password doesn't work! Oddly, the hint is correct . Is there an alternative to a HARD reset? Tried removing the battery. Nada. HELP!!!
Edit: Never mind. Couldn't wait. Did a hard reset.

Hi all, I have a t3232 clone, with this problem: After reboot it, or soft reset, or turn it on, it does as if as a hard reset it. I flash it with more than one ROM, in more than one SD card, in more than one computer, and always occur the same thing. Hard reset, every time I reboot it, soft reset it, or turn it on.
Anybody knew about this error???
Thanks for the help. Sorry for my english, I from Argentina.
Update: I flashing rom with sd card update mode and with usb update mode, many differents ROMs ( 6.1, 6.5, different languages, cooked and originals ). Every worked fine in any case, until I reeboot, turnoff-on, or soft-reset....... in this case, it boot as if as hard reset occur.......
disasembly the cell, and check for water into the flex cables and buttons, some times the buttons are in shock and occure that the phone make this kind of extrange facts.
