hi all this is my first post so please bear with me if i sound stupid.
I am the owner of an XDA stellar and thought it would be a good idea to buy another XDA as a spare. I liked the features of the XDA mini s so i bought a used one as it was faulty and thought it could be a software problem. i have tried different roms on it but still getting the sae message. Have read some posts on here for different phones and some of these have been fixed from this error, was wondering how i can do this model? I have found out from the forums that tis is the G3 model all details are IPL 1.01 SPL 1.05 GSM 01.12.10 OS 1.5.4.2 Could you please help and save this phone from becoming just a PDA. thank you all jamie
Was Just looking through these forums and i have gathered it may have something to do with the radio rom could i be right ????
lol sorry when i got the phone everything is working except the actual phone part with or without sim card inserted i get the message which says says "Invalid or Missing SIM card" from what i can gather reading the forums on here this is a software problem which can be fixed but i dont know much about the software on these phones except how to install roms etc.

I can't boot my XDA because I b0rked the radio stack upgrade.. So it just hangs at the O2 bubbles... and when I go to the bootloader I get GSM error. I can flash write new ROMs no problem - but I still get the same problem... Is it possible to "Flash Write" a RSU?

After further investigation - it would appear it's not possible to flash write a radio stack. I've totally killed my XDA
I think a guy on the forum from canada can do something with dead xda, he programs the chip directly "jtag"? Look around the forum because I cannot remember his name.

THis is new to me... where did you find this information?
I am in the same boat, but I believe we could flash the GSM ROM from a SD card. I have been looking for some information to do this ..
Just now, I borrowed another xda in order to back up the working GSm ROM to my SD card. However, it turned out that the Wallaby was a 5.17. After patching it , the GSM ROM to SD (bacup) "menu" was gone.
I believe we could flash the GSM ROM, because in the bootloaders, there is always a menu for GSM ROM to SD backup.
However, this is only my personal observation. I was hoping if our XDAdevelopers could shed some light and give us some advice in this matter. It's been a really sad XMas for me because of all these 'excitements'.
If someone could post a GSm ROM (in my case an 900/1800) and perhaps also give us a method how to 'write' it to a SD RAM. THat would be really cool!!
I still have the Write GSM on my XDA... but the option seems to require a special piece of software.. It asks you to connect the "R2284 cable" or something similar, and to start the "PC Monitor" software... It doesn't just write it to the SD card as it suggests

Hmm.. in my case, it won't be easy to buy or find a serial cable. D
If anyone knows how to get this serial cable in Bangkok, please kindly let me know.

I already sucessfully change into new rom using SD bootload...STILL my XDA doesnt show any RSU version and hanging in loading OS
STILL NO HELP :-( please... i can cahnge my ROM version now due to my sd memory card thru bootloader. The problem is still unknown RS version. I cant have RSUpgrade due to 1% hangs. I read the forum and tried copy paste still i cant upgrade. Now, i would like to tru the reapir.zip file but i dont have it. PLEASE please please..those who have a kind heart. help me

It is a sad fact that many gsm errors render the xda useless as a phone, it maybe that you have now only a pda.
it is truly sad.. i tried to test 1 board of xda to my xda yet its a failure . i need a board w/ a good condition. this is the only easiest solution to this problem, changing board. No one here i think can help to have a software recovery. how sad! :-(
hope WE CAN SOLVE this ISSUE ASAP... to help many XDA users with dead phone.

I've tried a lot of roms, rsu's, with and without sim card. No success. I also wait for a hardware solution with european location...

Hi everyone, my first time here, I have an HTC Touch from Rogers, I failed to upgrade the ROM version for my Elfin, by mistake I downloaded the CDMA version and try to upgrade my GSM Touch. As a result my HTC stays on the 3 color screen, and I've already tried all the possible solution that are recommended on this forum, I haven't tried the Gold Card, and I guess that I need the original ROM for this HTC. The point here is that following the procedure to obtain the model of the HTC with the MTTY software on the log it doesn't shows the Model or CID. So I can really know what ROM is the one to download. At the back of HTC it shows ELF0101.
I really don't know what else to do and trying to make a Gold Car is really complicated because I really don't know much about computers or cell phones.
Is there another way to find out the Model and the CID ?
Does anyone has the same model ELF0101 from ROGERS ?
Can you please help me ?

Yours is ELF010150 and ROGER001, just like mine.
Search for a shipped ROM with ELF010150 as the Model ID.
There is a Quebec Rogers one (ELF010150 ROGER202).. search for that, and use it in your Gold Card.

Hi guys
I am having my friends Artemis in my hand. I never used this phone. But because my friend knew that I am a member of XDA he has challenged me to solve this problem. I have been trying hard to really make it work but somehow or the other its just not working. I tried microsd way, official ROM way, radio upgrade way but its just not working. Its showing update 300 error on all such attempts. Here is the technical information.
ipl 3.07.0001
spl 1.11.0000
I think its CID unlocked but yet its not taking any ROM.
It just gets me greenblack screen other than the bootloader whenver I try to switch it on.
Would love to know why is it happening as soon as possible, or else it will be shame for me inspite of being member of such a smart community.

Same is the case here, I am not so well versed with this old p series phones. I am still waiting for some solution to this grave problem. I took it to some technician but he said its motherboard problem which is something I am not convinced of.
I tried mtty being in bootloader but nothing happening. No support for the same problem is there anywhere. Looking forward to have someone with same problem experience.

Actually my friend(my cousin) got this device from a scammer & I being the one who bought on this behalf has to make it right. It was just a few days old & here I am with this dead device.
I will disclose the name of that scammer so everyone at xda should beware from indulging in any transaction from him.

I had a similar problem before when my orbit locked during a flash, from my knowledge your only way to fix this is by using an sd card, I used the sd card method with my carriers wm5 rom.
Note i had some problems with the SD Card flash method at first until i eventually used an old 256mb card, try a few different ones, borrow a card if yo need to and remember not sdhc and format it fresh. I wish you luck
Since you guys can´t enter bootloader, u may have a brick, .
Have u tried to get in contact with the QMAT guys?
