Qtek ROM and UK Radio stack

Anyone tested Qtek Rom 3.16 and O2 Radio Stack 4.16 together?
/Marcus
Hi, i am using QTEC Radio stack 3.9 and Dutch ROM 3.15.15 together without any problems, if this helps?
Qtek ROM 3.14 and Radio 4.16
Yeah, I intsalled Radio version 4.16 and after that tried to install the new ROM 3.14.17 ENG but the installer simply would not work... no errors nothing... just vanishes after saying it was getting device info?!?!?? So now I have ROM 3.14.06 ENG working with Radio version 4.16... God knows how I can get the latest ROM installed on my Qtek 1010 and where to find the stuff on the net. MYXDA.com need you to enter the IMEI number and mine is no O2 XDA Anyone on this one?
I've tried this now, works fine.
I downloaded the Radiostack upgrade from O2.
They accepted mine IMEI code anyway.
hi guys
did anyone try to upgrade Radio Rom 4.16 with the following:
ROM Version: 3.16.13 ENG

PS: while installing did it ask you to replace old files with new one or something like that

Any idea so I can update the unit??

New O2 XDA2i Rom - Radio Upgrade?

I have just downloaded the new official O2 XDA2i ROM and noticed that although it upgrades the device from 1.11.162 to 1.11.169 AND gives Blackberry functionality, it still uses the old outdated 1.00.00 Radio version?
Why?? I am currently running a 2i with Pugs Modded rom with 1.11.162 and Radio 1.03, although I have now seen a 1.04 version.
Is there any chance of doing a new modded ROM with the 1.11.169 Rom, Blackberry AND
Radio 1.03 or 1.04?
Just a thought....

hi bazzer
blackberry doesnt run with the radio 1.04. stick with pug's rom version its very stable!!
Says who, I upgraded the radio 1.04 yesterday and blackberry works fine!
So is it possible to just install the latest O2 rom 1.11.169 version which downgrades the radio back to 1.00.00 and THEN upgrade the radio somehow?
I am thinking of just keeping Pugs modified rom with 1.11.162 and upgrade the radio to 1.04 to replace the 1.03 radio it has now. I don't technically need blackberry but I would like the latest O2 rom anyway...
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Darren

Im im sure blackberry doesn't work with radio 104
it comes up on the BES as illegal pin might load thats about it
you will find that your blackberry server is not forwarding any email to your handheld after radio 104
i did test on all the radio stacks and only radio 1.0.0 works with blackberry and it is very unsable
If you need blackberry and need to use radio v 1.0.0 do the following
do a rom upgrade removing the extended rom from the directory
this means no other software is installed and bluetooth is now stable
if not bluetooth doesn't work at all using heasets
the way to upgrade only your radio is to remove the rom and ext-rom from you upgrade directory and only leave the radio rom
this works a treat

about the radio version?

hello!
just update my imate jasjam with htc new rom 1.35
but my radio id 1.18
do i need to make it biger version or i can leave it like this
and if i need where can i find biger radio version ilooked for and didnt found
thx!!!
Radio 1.18 comes with the 1.35 ROM
There is a Radio 1.20 on the ftp but to install this your will have to downgrade your bootloader and flash just the radio part of your ROM.
This can be a tricky process (since the tools needed are copyrighted and will not be posted on here) and many people have bricked their TyTNs so I would recommend you stick with 1.18 unless your having problems or do some research first.
S.K.
Thx I See
But I Had Bootloader 1.06
I Put 1.04 Crack It
Now After The New Rom I Put I Have 1.09 Bootloader
But When I Crack It Iv Got Super Cid
So Why Cant I Upgrate The Radio
So You Mean Now I Cant Upgrate Any Rom.....
I Understand That With Super Cid You Can Do Every Thing

How to update Radio Version?

Hello,
I have the following ROM and Radio Version:
Rom: 1.48.405.2 (71294 WWE) (Generic Handset)
Radio: 2.05.51.05_2
There is a ROM UK update in HTC website and I am planning to apply it.
Will I get a newer version of Radio if I update the ROM?
Or do you update the Radio and ROM seperately?
If yes how do I update or downgrade the Radio?
Thanks
yes, the radio is updated with the ROM, although there was a newer radio update for 1.48 a couple of weeks back...just get 1.66 and you're good to go...
Thank you for the answer.
I guess once you update to the newest rom version there is no way to downgrade the radio version.
I mention that because some people complained about battery life in different post with radio 2.07...
If you have HSPL installed you can flash just the radio part, any version you like. Go have a read of the RADIO ROM thread here

Possible to update Radio ROM?

I upgraded my o2 branded mini to
Photon/RUU_Photon_HTC_Europe_1.36.401.1_Radio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship.exe
and it took fine HOWEVER my radio is listed as
0.63.05.18 and I found out that .36 is the latest Radio ROM.
Darkforces advises against messing with the radio,; is there a way around this to get the latest radio rom?
