universal car charger

hey guys. could anyone tell me if there is a specific config of car chargers for the universal? i am planning to buy one from ebay

it seems to be a universal pda charger plz let me kno if it is fine. also i ll be using it in India. any idea if it ll work there properly ( i am not sure of the earthing method used there). i wud really appreciate it if u cud answer asap.

I bought one like this (not the same brand but the same idea) and it works fine - I think most newish cars have a standard cigar lighter socket so as long as your car isn't old or from a strange local manufacturer - I imaging that you'll be OK...

again different brand but does work a treat the and even charges my motorola headset at the same time to.

The description "universal" is often used to refer to something that connects to a range of devices and models, and does not necessarily refer to the HTC device named the "Universal".

by universal i meant that it seems to work for all usb chargable devices ( as according to the seller). the issue is that most of the pda s in the market hav different power ratings.

I use one as it, work perfectly with your minUSB cable

i'm pretty sure the answer's gonna be 'no' but;
can this touch pro tv out cable be used on the touch cruise, i'm assuming not but anyone know if this be hardware and drivers/software or just drivers/software, in which case can we get the appropriate software/drivers from a dumped rom and adapt?

Well the Pro has the same Input as TC, so it should be not a Problem to use.
You dont need any special Software, but the Device you want to connect should have Plug&Play Support to recognize the TC.
And if no Plug & Play Support on the TV, you will defitly need a Driver for that, but every new TV has the P&P Support. I dont think that you use a 10 Years old TV

Erm... you've got UDK r9??

are you sure, only you're saying that because the connectors are the same it will, but the touch pro has the same mini usb connector as many devices/predecessors such as TC P3650 and ARTEMIS P3300 but only the latest edition - the pro - is shown on the htc site as having tv out. also
you don't sound as though you're speaking from having tried it first hand.
sorry it's just the cable costs 15-20GBP which is a fair whack if it doesn't

TC has same input as PRO?
We are talking about output here and just about every HTC phone I have used has the 11 pin mini usb plug, so does that mean every HTC has TV out?
If that is the case why has HTC not release the cable before?

Not too mention modern Motorola phones as well as many peripherials, and I don't think it would be smart to assume they have TV out as well when paired with this cable.

anyone with an excess of cash (i.e. rich) - buy a cable and try it please!

i broke my usb cable and can't find a replacement

Radio Rom update no charging by car

Hello
I just have a simple question. I did a Radio Rom update (4.49.25.17 from Topaz) and everything seems to be fine.
But when i go to my car and try to load the battery with the cigarette lighter, nothing happens. Charging by USB at the PC is ok.
Is it possible, that the radio update is the reason for this?
I have Touch Diamond 2
win 6.1 (o2 Germany)

is it possible that your car charger is not working any more? have a look at the fuse too!

of course it is possible, but it should work.
there is a control lamp at the charger and i have bought it half a year ago. I even dangle the cable, to see, if it is working again, but it isn´t.
I think i have to try another cable.

i was just wondering if the powermat for hd2 works with windows phone 7 (hd20) mite sownd a bit silly but considernig that the extended battery dus not

you cant use WM apps on WP.... not compatible...

powermat is a charger for the hd2 that dus not need pluging in to the usb it replaces the back cover

The Powermat I have is compatible with the European/Asian HD2, but not the US T-Mobile HD2. The slightly larger size of the T-Mobile version does not seem to allow the pins to connect correctly. Which version of the HD2 are you using? As far as I know, since it is a hardware charging solution it should not matter which OS you are using.

im on a uk (o2) hd2 and im runing hd20 rom i got a extended battery and it did not charge so befor a burt the powermat i was just cheking thanks
