Hi all
I have just recently bought an 8125 unlocked and for T-Mobile use, but now I'm starting to have issues. My phone suddenly turned off 3 days later, and now it won't start up past the loader screen. I've been looking through every forum I could, and have concluded I must have a bad ROM or something..
Now, I've downloaded an RUU and was told I could use that to reset my ROM, but when I'm in bootloader mode, my computer won't detect it. It says that it's downloading drivers, but it's "device unknown." Some have said to reinstall activesync, but I'm on Vista, so I already have Windows Mobile Center. I know that I need to run an RUU, but if my computer can't recognize my phone, then I'm stuck because the program won't run.
Please, does anyone know what's going on and could help me? My search results have me even more confused. If it helps, i have a G3 (i'm not sure what that means)

hey, im a newbie, and I need help...
I was trying to install TouchIT so I downloaded the applications needed from a zip file I found here on the website...
I installed ASerg Policies, Cert_spcs, and Enablerapi and did a soft reset...cause I thought I needed all that....
...than I tried to run "1__UPGRADE_ROM" and in the middle of that process, i dropped my phone, and caught it b the cable, so it got disconnected, and it gave me an error message...the screen then froze so I tried a soft reset, and it got stuck on the T-Mobile screen....I waited a long time, than did a Hard Reset, and it is still stuck on the T-Mobile screen....I can't even wake up tomorrow cause I use my phone as my alarm clock...but I have no clue what to do...can anyone help?
"run the official RUU FROM HTC" I don't really know what this means, ..but I think I need to be connected to the computer to do that, and my phone is not even doing that...

Hold down the CAMERA button while you press the reset key hole. You will enter the boot loader. Make sure you are plugged into your PC and you see the word USB at the bottom of your phone's screen. Then download and run the Tmobile RUU. There's a walkthrough written by me called the "official how to unbrick" blah blah, just search for it.

My heads spinning from all the information aka post and threads, but im still stuck like my wizard on the 2nd splash screen.
I wasnt trying to upgrade the rom jst clear storage but after everything ive read i would like to upgrade to wm6 but first i want to get my wizard working.
I tried backing up the rom to the sd card but I get "You didn't get the proper security level to download a specific image" So i take it my wizard is cid locked.
My IPL:1.01 and SPL:1.06 does that mean its a g3. My activesync 4.5 doesnt pick up my wizard is it because it cant boot, i tried with it in bootloader mode still doesnt pick it up.
So plz point me in the right direction to fix my wizard
ok i think the place where im stuck at is cid unlocking my wizard with out using that imei site. any help or is there another way to do this.
This helped me when I was stuck on the first screen. For some reason, the Radio file was gone. Follow this exactly, it works. In my case (sounds like yours also), at the end of this you will at least have access to the phone again.

After your done. You will have a RGB screen, then follow these directions to load a base rom and unlock so you can keep going until you ca load WM6.1.

I've had many, many problems over the last 3 days trying to do this. I completed it all in less than a day, but when I used the phone it had terrible reception. I completely downgraded everything back to square one. Still bad phone reception. I was about to through it out the window, when someone called my wife's cell phone and she also had bad reception. I then put my sim in another phone, same problem. Well, at&t has a tower down for the last 3 days. What timing, it seems to work when not at home, but hard to test that way Anyway, moral of the story is. Don't give up, keep plugging along.

If you can start your Wizard in bootloader, and it says "usb" in the lower-left, you can flash your original ROM. An active sync connection is not needed. Search for your carrier's ROM if you don't have it and I'd recommend the "no carrier ID" version of the RUU.
Have you tried a 'Hard Reset',hope it'll work,if it boots up into working OS and it already has IPL/SPL 1.xx,use lokiwiz02b tool to SIM/CID unlock the phone and than upgrade.
If it doesn't work still after Hard Reset,most probably,its Extended_Rom is corrupted,its required to reflash a new rom.
Activesync doesn't work in absence of a working OS and in Bootloaders mode.Its not required for flashing a rom.Just get the phone into Bootloaders and hook the phone with pc via usb cable and watch small usb appear at the bottom of the bootloader screen,if its there,it good to go and flash the rom.
ok so i downloaded the button rom finally but how do i flash it to my wizard.
Get your phone in Bootloaders,hook up the phone with pc via usb,watch small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloader screen,if its there run the 'RUU' application,it'll start to flash,it stops at a certain percentage,don't get worried and do anything,after a couple of minutes it starts again,let it complete 100%,the phone'll restart and boot up in new OS.
which ruu application. I jst downloaded 1 which comes in the form of a rar file saying ruuwrapper. is that the right 1
So after lots and lots and lots more reading i realized i dont need a ruu. all i need to do is get into bootloader mode plug in the usb and run the wizard button rom. It worked perfectly my wizard is back to life yip pee.

Sorry, i know there so many posts about this problem, but i can't understand it very well, sorry for that.
Here's my problem:
The JasJam that i have says "No GSM", so i tried to fix it, i searched the net for possible solutions, so luckily i found one, well i thought that was the answer, unfortunately i think i downloaded SPL version 7 (which i think is not the right thing to do) then when i was upgrading it, "tricolour bootloader" appears, and then next screen was loading and it is 0%.. then the ERROR #somethng appear, and it stucked on the tricolour bootloader, i tried to fix it again, i tried to upgrade the ROM, SPL, and all because im so hopeless already. Next problem is ActiveSync 4.5 can't detect the jasjam, i tried everything, different PC, laptop and different USB cable as well, i update its .NET framework also, but still there's no connection..

I am seriously needing some light shed over here please some one i have been hunting and hunting, I even wrote a post to try to get help please help me so if any one else needs any help like this I may be able to help them also.
My phone was going through a flash when it restarted it got "Bricked" at the Windows Mobile splash screen. I want to know is there any way I can unbrick my Cingular HTC 8525 Herm100 device, via SD(micro). I have reformated my card but it still wont go to the bootloader, I have witnessed the small text at the bottom left of the screen that reads "No GSM" imediately after the phone comes on. Now either I am over reading something or missed something but if I could trouble some of the devs, admins, users, or even (not recommended, but im desperate to get working) flamers...
Please help me so that I may help others later on. Thank you
Im not a know it all....but I'll try and help.
Questions...
1) Have you tried to do a Manual load of the Boot-loader (POWER+OK+RESET)..?
Usually I HOLD the POWER+OK then hit the RESET while still holding the other two buttons, until the boot-loader loads.
2) Try taking out your Sim's card, see if the NO GSM is still there...?
I've had this problem on other phones in the past.
3) Unbricking using the SD card..? try doing a SEARCH THIS FORUM option for a
more dedicated search...
I would use a USB cord for the unbricking, as I have had better chances of undoing a brick.
Also you can used a "Motorola Razr", USB cord also with this phone for the USB options.

You also need to have installed Hard SPL V7... If you haven't then I hope you have a copy of your SHIPPED STOCK ROM as this may be th eonly thing that will fix your Hermes. If it has the "No GSM" error then its possible you will still have a brick. It generally means the radio rom is corrupted and is impossible to fix...
Thank you guys for the response I have reversed the brick of the phone a few days ago. My other question is, do anyone know how/or if it is possible to flash the phone and lock it to an "IDEN" type phone or know the Network ID Code for a Carrier called, boost mobile; a subsidiary of Sprint/Nextel.

I bought a second hand phone and I want to downgrade it to 6.1 to get rid of all the rubbish that seems to be on there.
My real problem is that it won't sync via activesync 4.5 - it connects but then hangs on "looking for changes" and I am sure it is something to do with the software.
I have hard reset on seveal occasions now and reinstalled activesync several times too.
I have removed the sd card and other small thing I have found on the net to do but nothing seems to get it going.
Can anyone help me?
I know I have to do some flashing but I have never done that.
Please help!!!
if you want to downgrade it, just download a rom from htc's website, get your phone into bootloader mode, connect to pc, wait for the "usb" message to appear at the bottom, and flash the rom.
(only follow onscreen instructions and the process is simple.)
if you dont know how to get into bootloader, there are videos at youtube and guides in the forum.
